2 Kings 6
1 And they said [the] sons of the prophets to Elisha here! please the place where we [are] dwelling there before you it is [too] cramped for us.
Or, les fils des prophètes dirent à Élisée: Voici, le lieu où nous sommes assis devant toi est trop étroit pour nous.
2 Let us go please to the Jordan and let us take from there each a beam one and let us make for ourselves there a place to dwell there and he said go.
Allons-nous-en jusqu'au Jourdain; et nous prendrons là chacun une pièce de bois, et nous y bâtirons une demeure.
3 And he said the one be willing please and go with servants your and he said I I will go.
Il répondit: Allez. Et l'un d'eux dit: Veuille, je te prie, venir avec tes serviteurs. Et il répondit: J'irai.
4 And he went with them and they came the Jordan towards and they cut down trees.
Il s'en alla donc avec eux; et ils vinrent au Jourdain, et coupèrent du bois.
5 And it was the one [was] making fall the beam and the iron it fell into the water and he cried out and he said alas! O lord my and it [was] asked.
Mais comme l'un d'entre eux abattait une pièce de bois, il arriva que le fer tomba dans l'eau; et il s'écria et dit: Hélas, mon seigneur! Et encore il était emprunté!
6 And he said [the] man of God where? did it fall and he showed him the place and he cut off a piece of wood and he threw [it] there towards and he caused to float the iron.
Et l'homme de Dieu dit: Où est-il tombé? Et il lui montra l'endroit. Alors Élisée coupa un morceau de bois et le jeta là, et fit surnager le fer; et il dit: Ramasse-le.
7 And he said lift [it] yourself and he stretched out hand his and he took it.
Et il étendit la main et le prit.
8 And [the] king of Aram he was fighting against Israel and he consulted servants his saying [will be] to a place of a certain one a certain one encampments my.
Or le roi de Syrie, faisant la guerre à Israël, tenait conseil avec ses serviteurs, disant: Mon camp sera dans tel lieu.
9 And he sent [the] man of God to [the] king of Israel saying take care from passing by the place this for there Aram [is] descending.
Mais l'homme de Dieu envoyait dire au roi d'Israël: Garde-toi de négliger ce lieu; car les Syriens y descendent.
10 And he sent [the] king of Israel to the place which he had spoken of it [the] man of God (and he warned him *QK) and he took care there not one [time] and not two [times].
Et le roi d'Israël envoyait vers le lieu au sujet duquel l'homme de Dieu lui avait parlé et l'avait averti, et il y était sur ses gardes; cela se fit plus d'une et de deux fois.
11 And it was enraged [the] heart of [the] king of Aram on the matter this and he called to servants his and he said to them ¿ not will you tell to me who? from [those] who [belong] to us [is] to [the] king of Israel.
Et le cœur du roi de Syrie en fut troublé; et il appela ses serviteurs, et leur dit: Ne me découvrirez-vous pas lequel des nôtres est pour le roi d'Israël?
12 And he said one from servants his no O lord my the king for Elisha the prophet who [is] in Israel he tells to [the] king of Israel the words which you speak in [the] chamber of lying down your.
Et l'un de ses serviteurs lui dit: Il n'y en a point, ô roi, mon seigneur; mais Élisée, le prophète qui est en Israël, déclare au roi d'Israël les paroles mêmes que tu dis dans la chambre où tu couches.
13 And he said go and see where? [is] he so I may send so I may capture him and it was told to him saying there! in Dothan.
Alors il dit: Allez, voyez où il est; et je l'enverrai prendre. Et on lui fit ce rapport: Voici, il est à Dothan.
14 And he sent there towards horses and chariotry and an army massive and they came night and they surrounded the city.
Et il y envoya des chevaux, des chars et une troupe considérable, qui arrivèrent de nuit et environnèrent la ville.
15 And he rose early [the] servant of [the] man of God to arise and he went out and there! an army [was] surrounding the city and horse[s] and chariotry and he said servant his to him alas! O lord my how? will we do.
Or le serviteur de l'homme de Dieu se leva de grand matin, et sortit; et voici, des troupes, avec des chevaux et des chars, environnaient la ville. Et son serviteur lui dit: Hélas! mon seigneur, comment ferons-nous?
16 And he said may not you be afraid for [are] many [those] who [are] with us more than [those] who [are] them.
Élisée répondit: Ne crains point; car ceux qui sont avec nous sont en plus grand nombre que ceux qui sont avec eux.
17 And he prayed Elisha and he said O Yahweh open please eyes his so he may see and he opened Yahweh [the] eyes of the servant and he saw and there! the hill it was full horses and chariotry of fire around Elisha.
Et Élisée pria et dit: O Éternel, daigne ouvrir ses yeux et qu'il voie! Et l'Éternel ouvrit les yeux du serviteur, et il vit; et voici, la montagne était pleine de chevaux et de chars de feu, autour d'Élisée.
18 And they came down to him and he prayed Elisha to Yahweh and he said strike please the nation this with sudden blindness and he struck them with sudden blindness according to [the] word of Elisha.
Cependant les Syriens descendirent vers Élisée; alors il pria l'Éternel et dit: Veuille frapper ces gens d'aveuglement. Et Dieu les frappa d'aveuglement, selon la parole d'Élisée.
19 And he said to them Elisha not this [is] the way and not this [is] the city come after me so let me lead you to the man whom you seek! and he led them Samaria towards.
Et Élisée leur dit: Ce n'est pas ici le chemin et ce n'est pas ici la ville. Suivez-moi; et je vous mènerai vers l'homme que vous cherchez. Et il les mena à Samarie.
20 And it was when came they Samaria and he said Elisha O Yahweh open [the] eyes of these [men] so they may see and he opened Yahweh eyes their and they saw and there! [they were] in [the] midst of Samaria.
Et, quand ils furent entrés dans Samarie, Élisée dit: O Éternel, ouvre leurs yeux et qu'ils voient! Et l'Éternel ouvrit leurs yeux, et ils virent; et voici, ils étaient au milieu de Samarie.
21 And he said [the] king of Israel to Elisha when saw he them ¿ will I strike [them] down will I strike [them] down? O father my.
Et dès que le roi d'Israël les vit, il dit à Élisée: Mon père, frapperai-je, frapperai-je?
22 And he said not you must strike [them] down ¿ [those] whom you have taken captive by sword your and by bow your [are] you about to strike down put food and water before them so they may eat and they may drink and they may go to master their.
Et Élisée répondit: Tu ne frapperas point. Ceux que tu fais prisonniers, les frappes-tu de ton épée et de ton arc? Mets du pain et de l'eau devant eux; qu'ils mangent et boivent, et s'en aillent vers leur seigneur.
23 And he gave a feast for them a feast great and they ate and they drank and he let go them and they went to master their and not they repeated again [the] marauding bands of Aram to come in [the] land of Israel.
Et le roi leur fit grande chère; ils mangèrent et burent; puis il les renvoya, et ils s'en allèrent vers leur seigneur. Depuis ce temps-là, les troupes des Syriens ne revinrent plus au pays d'Israël.
24 And it was after thus and he gathered Ben Hadad [the] king of Aram all army his and he went up and he laid siege on Samaria.
Mais, après ces choses, il arriva que Ben-Hadad, roi de Syrie, assembla toute son armée, monta et assiégea Samarie.
25 And it was a famine great in Samaria and there! [they were] laying siege on it until was [the] head of a donkey for eighty silver and [the] fourth part of the kab (quano *QK) for five silver.
Et il y eut une grande famine dans Samarie; et voici, elle était serrée de si près que la tête d'un âne se vendait quatre-vingts sicles d'argent, et le quart d'un kab de fiente de pigeon, cinq sicles d'argent.
26 And he was [the] king of Israel passing by on the wall and a woman she cried out to him saying save! O lord my the king.
Et, comme le roi d'Israël passait sur la muraille, une femme lui cria et lui dit: O roi, mon seigneur, secours-moi!
27 And he said may not he save you Yahweh from where? will I save you ¿ from the threshing floor or? from the wine-press.
Et il dit: Si l'Éternel ne te secourt pas, d'où te secourrais-je? Serait-ce de l'aire ou du pressoir?
28 And he said to her the king what? [is] to you and she said the woman this she said to me give son your so we may eat him this day and son my we will eat tomorrow.
Puis le roi lui dit: Qu'as-tu? Et elle dit: Cette femme-là m'a dit: Donne ton fils, et mangeons-le aujourd'hui; et demain nous mangerons le mien.
29 And we cooked son my and we ate him and I said to her on the day other give son your so we may eat him and she had hidden son her.
Ainsi nous avons fait cuire mon fils, et nous l'avons mangé; et, le jour suivant, je lui ai dit: Donne ton fils, et mangeons-le.
30 And it was when heard the king [the] words of the woman and he tore clothes his and he [was] passing by on the wall and it saw the people and there! sackcloth [was] on flesh his from inside.
Mais elle a caché son fils. Et dès que le roi eut entendu les paroles de cette femme, il déchira ses vêtements; il passait alors sur la muraille, et le peuple vit qu'il avait en dessous un sac sur son corps.
31 And he said thus may he do to me God and thus may he add if it will remain standing [the] head of Elisha [the] son of Shaphat on him this day.
Et il dit: Que Dieu me traite avec la dernière rigueur, si la tête d'Élisée, fils de Shaphat, reste aujourd'hui sur lui!
32 And Elisha [was] sitting in house his and the elders [were] sitting with him and he sent a man from to before him before he came the messenger to him and he - he said to the elders ¿ do you see that he has sent [the] son of the murderer this to remove head my look - when comes the messenger shut the door and you will push him with the door ¿ not [is] [the] sound of [the] feet of master his after him.
Or, Élisée étant assis dans sa maison et les anciens étant assis avec lui, le roi envoya un homme devant lui. Mais, avant que le messager fût arrivé, Élisée dit aux anciens: Voyez-vous que ce fils de meurtrier envoie quelqu'un pour m'ôter la tête? Lorsque le messager entrera, ayez soin de fermer la porte, et de le retenir à la porte. Entendez-vous le bruit des pas de son maître qui le suit?
33 Still he [was] speaking with them and there! the messenger [was] coming down to him and he said here! this the calamity [is] from with Yahweh why? will I wait for Yahweh still.
Comme il leur parlait encore, voici, le messager descendit vers lui, et dit: Voici, ce mal vient de l'Éternel; qu'ai-je plus à attendre de l'Éternel?
