1 Samuel 13
1 [was] a son of (Thirty *X) year[s] Saul when became king he (and forty *X) and two years he reigned over Israel.
Si Saul nagpangidaron ug 30 anyos sa dihang nagsugod siya sa paghari; sa dihang naghari siya sa tibuok Israel sa 40 ka tuig,
2 And he chose for himself Saul three thousand from Israel and they were with Saul two thousand at Micmash and in [the] hill country of Beth-el and one thousand they were with Jonathan at Gibeah of Benjamin and [the] rest of the people he sent away each man to tents his.
nagpili siya ug 3, 000 ka mga lalaki sa Israel. 2, 000 ang uban kaniya sa Mikmas ug sa kabungtoran sa Betel, samtang 1, 000 ang uban kang Jonatan sa Gabaon sa Benjamin. Gipapauli niya ang ubang mga sundalo sa ilang mga tolda.
3 And he attacked Jonathan [the] garrison of [the] Philistines which [was] at Geba and they heard [the] Philistines and Saul he gave a blast on the trumpet in all the land saying let them hear the Hebrews.
Gibuntog ni Jonatan ang kampo sa mga Filistihanon nga didto sa Gabaa ug ang mga Filistihanon nakadungog niini. Unya gipatingog ni Saul ang trumpeta sa tibuok dapit, nga nag-ingon, “Tugoti nga makadungog ang mga Hebreohanon.”
4 And all Israel they heard saying he has attacked Saul [the] garrison of [the] Philistines and also it has made itself odious Israel with the Philistines and they were summoned the people after Saul Gilgal.
Nadunggan sa tibuok Israel nga gibuntog ni Saul ang kampo sa mga Filistihanon, ug gidumtan ang Israel alang sa mga Filistihanon. Unya gipatawag ang tanang kasundalohan aron magtigom uban kang Saul didto sa Gilgal.
5 And [the] Philistines they gathered - to fight with Israel thirty thousand chariot[s] and six thousand horsemen and a people like the sand which [is] on [the] shore of the sea for multitude and they came up and they encamped at Micmash [the] east of Beth Aven.
Nagtigom ang tanang mga Filistihanon aron sa pagpakiggubat batok sa Israel: Adunay 3, 000 ka mga karwahe, ug 6, 000 ka mga tawo nga nagsakay niini, ug panon sa kasundalohan nga sama ka gidaghanon sa balas sa baybayon. Mitungas sila ug nagkampo sa Mikmas, sa sidlakang bahin sa Bet-aven.
6 And everyone of Israel they saw that it was distress to it for it was hard pressed the people and they hid themselves the people in caves and in thickets and in cliffs and in underground chambers and in cisterns.
Sa dihang nakita sa mga tawo sa Israel nga anaa sila sa kasamok—tungod kay ang katawhan nahadlok naman, nanago sila sa mga langob, sa ilalom sa mga sagbot, sa mga bato, sa mga balon, ug sa mga bangag.
7 And Hebrews they passed over the Jordan [the] land of Gad and Gilead and Saul still he [was] at Gilgal and all the people they trembled after him.
Ang uban sa mga Hebreohanon mitabok sa Jordan ngadto sa yuta sa Gad ug Galaad. Apan si Saul nagpabilin sa Gilgal, ug ang tanang mga tawo nga nagsunod kaniya nangurog sa kahadlok.
8 (And he waited *Qk) seven days to the appointed time which Samuel and not he had come Samuel Gilgal and it scattered the people from with him.
Naghulat siya ug pito ka adlaw, ang panahon nga gitakda ni Samuel. Apan wala miabot si Samuel didto sa Gilgal, ug ang katawhan nagkatibulaag gikan kang Saul.
9 And he said Saul bring near to me the burnt offering and the peace offerings and he offered up the burnt offering.
Miingon si Saul, “Dad-a kanako ang halad sinunog ug ang mga halad alang sa pakigdait.” Unya iyang gihalad ang halad sinunog.
10 And it was when finished he to offer up the burnt offering and there! Samuel [was] coming and he went out Saul to meet him to bless him.
Sa pagkahuman gayod niya ug halad sa halad sinunog miabot si Samuel. Migawas si Saul aron sa pagtagbo ug sa pag-abiabi kaniya.
11 And he said Samuel what? have you done and he said Saul if I saw that it was scattered the people from with me and you not you had come to [the] appointed time of the days and [the] Philistines [were] gathering Micmash.
Unya miingon si Samuel, “Unsa man kining imong gibuhat?” Mitubag si Saul, “Sa dihang nakita nako nga ang mga katawhan mibiya kanako, ug wala ka miabot sa gitakda nga panahon, ug ang mga Filistihanon nagtigom na sa Mikmas,
12 And I said now they will come down [the] Philistines against me Gilgal and [the] face of Yahweh not I have entreated and I forced myself and I offered up the burnt offering.
Miingon ako, 'Karon ang Filistihanon molugsong batok kanako sa Gilgal, ug wala ko nakita ang pagdapig ni Yahweh.' Busa gipugos ko ang akong kaugalingon sa paghalad sa halad sinunog.”
13 And he said Samuel to Saul you have acted foolishly not you have kept [the] commandment of Yahweh God your which he commanded you for now he established Yahweh kingdom your to Israel until perpetuity.
Unya miingon si Samuel kang Saul, “Binuang kining imong gibuhat. Wala nimo tumana ang sugo nga gihatag ni Yahweh nga imong Dios. Kay gitukod na unta ni Yahweh ang imong pagmando sa Israel sa walay kataposan.
14 And now kingdom your not it will endure he has sought Yahweh for himself a man according to own heart his and he has appointed him Yahweh to ruler over people his for not you have kept [that] which he commanded you Yahweh.
Apan karon dili ka na magpadayon sa pagmando. Kay nakaplagan na ni Yahweh ang tawo nga duol sa iyang kasingkasing, ug gipili siya ni Yahweh nga mahimong prinisipe sa iyang katawhan, tungod kay wala mo man tumana kung unsa ang iyang gisugo kanimo.”
15 And he arose Samuel and he went up from Gilgal (and he went on way his and the rest of the people it went up after Saul to meet [the] people [of] the battle and they went from Gilgal *X) Gibeah of Benjamin and he mustered Saul the people who were found with him about six hundred man.
Unya mitindog ug mitungas si Samuel gikan sa Gilgal ngadto sa Gabaon sa Benjamin. Ug giihap ni Saul ang katawhan nga uban kaniya, mga 600 ka mga kalalakihan.
16 And Saul and Jonathan son his and the people which was found with them [were] remaining in Geba of Benjamin and [the] Philistines they encamped in Micmash.
Si Saul, ug ang iyang anak nga lalaki nga si Jonatan, ug ang katawhan nga uban kanila, nagpabilin sa Gabaa sa Benjamin. Apan ang mga Filistihanon nagkampo sa Mikmas.
17 And it came out the destroyer from [the] camp of [the] Philistines three companies the company one it turned to [the] direction of Ophrah to [the] land of Shual.
Ang mga nagkabayo nga nagkampo sa mga Filistihanon miabot sa tulo ka pundok. Ang usa ka pundok nagpadulong ngadto sa Ofra, ngadto sa dapit sa Sual.
18 And the company one it turned [the] direction of Beth Horon and the company one it turned [the] direction the border which looks down over [the] valley of Zeboim the wilderness towards.
Ang laing panon nagpadulong ngadto sa Bethoron, ug ang laing pundok nagpadulong ngadto sa utlanan nga madungaw ang walog sa Zeboyim ngadto sa kamingawan.
19 And a craftsman not he was found in all [the] land of Israel for (they said *QK) [the] Philistines lest they should make the Hebrews a sword or a spear.
Walay magpapanday sa espada nga makita sa tibuok dapit sa Israel, tungod kay nag-ingon ang mga Filistihanon, “Tingali ang mga Hebrohanon maghimo ug mga espada o mga bangkaw alang sa ilang kaugalingon.”
20 And they went down all Israel the Philistines to sharpen each man plowshare his and mattock his and axe his and plowshare his.
Apan ang tanang kalalakihan sa Israel kanunay molugsong ngadto sa Filistihanon, ang tagsatagsa magpabaid sa mga lipya sa iyang daro, sa iyang piko, sa iyang atsa, ug sa iyang sanggot.
21 And it was the charge two thirds of a shekel for the plowshares and for the mattocks and for three fork and for the axes and to make straight the goad[s].
Ang bayad tag-2/3 ka shekel alang sa lipya sa mga daro, ug sa mga piko, ug 1/3 ka shekel alang sa pagpabaid sa mga atsa ug sa pagpatul-id sa mga garab.
22 And it was on a day of battle and not it was found a sword and a spear in [the] hand of any of the people which [was] with Saul and with Jonathan and it was found to Saul and to Jonathan son his.
Busa sa adlaw sa gubat walay mga espada o mga bangkaw nga makita sa mga kamot kang bisan kinsa sa mga kasundalohan nga uban kang Saul ug kang Jonatan; si Saul lamang ug Jonatan ang aduna niini.
23 And it came out [the] garrison of [the] Philistines to [the] pass of Micmash.
Ang mga magbabantay nga kasundalohan sa Filistihanon nanggula ngadto sa unahan sa Mikmas.
