1 Chronicles 17
1 And it was just when he dwelt David in house his and he said David to Nathan the prophet here! I [am] dwelling in [the] house of cedar and [the] ark of [the] covenant of Yahweh [is] under tent curtains.
Lorsque David fut établi dans sa maison, il dit à Nathan le prophète: Voici, j’habite dans une maison de cèdre, et l’arche de l’alliance de l’Éternel est sous une tente.
2 And he said Nathan to David all that [is] in heart your do for God [is] with you.
Nathan répondit à David: Fais tout ce que tu as dans le cœur, car Dieu est avec toi.
3 And it was in the night that and it came [the] word of God to Nathan saying.
La nuit suivante, la parole de Dieu fut adressée à Nathan:
4 Go and you will say to David servant my thus he says Yahweh not you you will build for me the house to dwell in.
Va dire à mon serviteur David: Ainsi parle l’Éternel: Ce ne sera pas toi qui me bâtiras une maison pour que j’en fasse ma demeure.
5 For not I have dwelt in a house since the day when I brought up Israel until the day this and I have been from tent to tent and from tabernacle.
Car je n’ai point habité dans une maison depuis le jour où j’ai fait monter Israël jusqu’à ce jour; mais j’ai été de tente en tente et de demeure en demeure.
6 In every where I went about in all Israel ¿ a word did I speak with one of [the] judges of Israel whom I commanded to shepherd people my saying why? not have you built for me a house of cedar.
Partout où j’ai marché avec tout Israël, ai-je dit un mot à quelqu’un des juges d’Israël à qui j’avais ordonné de paître mon peuple, ai-je dit: Pourquoi ne me bâtissez-vous pas une maison de cèdre?
7 And therefore thus you will say to servant my to David. Thus he says Yahweh of hosts I I took you from the pasture from after the flock to be ruler over people my Israel.
Maintenant tu diras à mon serviteur David: Ainsi parle l’Éternel des armées: Je t’ai pris au pâturage, derrière les brebis, pour que tu fusses chef de mon peuple d’Israël;
8 And I was with you in every where you went and I cut off all enemies your from before you and I will make for you a name like [the] name of the great [people] who [are] on the earth.
j’ai été avec toi partout où tu as marché, j’ai exterminé tous tes ennemis devant toi, et j’ai rendu ton nom semblable au nom des grands qui sont sur la terre;
9 And I will establish a place for people my Israel and I will plant it and it will dwell in place its and not it will be agitated again and not they will repeat [the] sons of injustice to consume it just as at the former [time].
j’ai donné une demeure à mon peuple d’Israël, et je l’ai planté pour qu’il y soit fixé et ne soit plus agité, pour que les méchants ne le détruisent plus comme auparavant
10 And from days when I appointed judges over people my Israel and I will subdue all enemies your and I have told to you and a house he will build for you Yahweh.
et comme à l’époque où j’avais établi des juges sur mon peuple d’Israël. J’ai humilié tous tes ennemis. Et je t’annonce que l’Éternel te bâtira une maison.
11 And it will be that they have been completed days your to go with ancestors your and I will raise up offspring your after you who he will be one of descendants your and I will establish kingdom his.
Quand tes jours seront accomplis et que tu iras auprès de tes pères, j’élèverai ta postérité après toi, l’un de tes fils, et j’affermirai son règne.
12 He he will build for me a house and I will establish throne his until perpetuity.
Ce sera lui qui me bâtira une maison, et j’affermirai pour toujours son trône.
13 I I will become of him a father and he he will become of me a son and covenant loyalty my not I will remove from with him just as I removed [it] from [the one] who he was before you.
Je serai pour lui un père, et il sera pour moi un fils; et je ne lui retirerai point ma grâce, comme je l’ai retirée à celui qui t’a précédé.
14 And I will appoint him in house my and in kingdom my until perpetuity and throne his it will be established until perpetuity.
Je l’établirai pour toujours dans ma maison et dans mon royaume, et son trône sera pour toujours affermi.
15 According to all the words these and according to all the vision this so he spoke Nathan to David.
Nathan rapporta à David toutes ces paroles et toute cette vision.
16 And he went the king David and he sat before Yahweh and he said who? [am] I O Yahweh God and who? [is] house my that you have brought me to here.
Et le roi David alla se présenter devant l’Éternel, et dit: Qui suis-je, Éternel Dieu, et quelle est ma maison, pour que tu m’aies fait parvenir où je suis?
17 And it was small this in eyes your O God and you have spoken on [the] house of servant your from distant [time] and you have seen me according to [the] order of humankind the going up O Yahweh God.
C’est peu de chose à tes yeux, ô Dieu! Tu parles de la maison de ton serviteur pour les temps à venir. Et tu daignes porter les regards sur moi à la manière des hommes, toi qui es élevé, Éternel Dieu!
18 What? will he add again David to you for honor servant your and you servant your you know.
Que pourrait te dire encore David sur la gloire accordée à ton serviteur? Tu connais ton serviteur.
19 O Yahweh for sake of servant your and according to heart your you have done all the greatness this by making known all the greatness.
O Éternel! C’est à cause de ton serviteur, et selon ton cœur, que tu as fait toutes ces grandes choses, pour les lui révéler.
20 O Yahweh there not [is] like you and there not [is] a God except you in all that we have heard with ears our.
O Éternel! Nul n’est semblable à toi et il n’y a point d’autre Dieu que toi, d’après tout ce que nous avons entendu de nos oreilles.
21 And who? [is] like people your Israel a nation one on the earth which he went God to redeem for himself a people to make for yourself a name great things and awesome [deeds] by driving out from before people your which you had redeemed from Egypt nations.
Est-il sur la terre une seule nation qui soit comme ton peuple d’Israël, que Dieu est venu racheter pour en former son peuple, pour te faire un nom et pour accomplir des miracles et des prodiges, en chassant des nations devant ton peuple que tu as racheté d’Égypte?
22 And you made people your Israel - for yourself a people until perpetuity and you O Yahweh you became for them God.
Tu as établi ton peuple d’Israël, pour qu’il fût ton peuple à toujours; et toi, Éternel, tu es devenu son Dieu.
23 And now O Yahweh the word which you have spoken on servant your and on house his let it be established until perpetuity and do just as you have spoken.
Maintenant, ô Éternel! Que la parole que tu as prononcée sur ton serviteur et sur sa maison subsiste éternellement, et agis selon ta parole!
24 And it may be established so it may be great name your until perpetuity saying Yahweh of hosts [is] [the] God of Israel God to Israel and [the] house of David servant your [is] established before you.
Qu’elle subsiste, afin que ton nom soit à jamais glorifié et que l’on dise: L’Éternel des armées, le Dieu d’Israël, est un Dieu pour Israël! Et que la maison de David, ton serviteur, soit affermie devant toi!
25 For - you O God my you have uncovered [the] ear of servant your to build for him a house there-fore he has found servant your to pray before you.
Car toi-même, ô mon Dieu, tu as révélé à ton serviteur que tu lui bâtirais une maison. C’est pourquoi ton serviteur a osé prier devant toi.
26 And now O Yahweh you he [are] God and you have spoken on servant your the good thing this.
Maintenant, ô Éternel! Tu es Dieu, et tu as annoncé cette grâce à ton serviteur.
27 And now you have determined to bless [the] house of servant your to be for ever before you for you O Yahweh you have blessed and [it is] blessed for ever.
Veuille donc bénir la maison de ton serviteur, afin qu’elle subsiste à toujours devant toi! Car ce que tu bénis, ô Éternel! Est béni pour l’éternité.
