Psalms 119
1 [ALEPH.] How happy the men of blameless life, who walk in the law of Yahweh.
BEATI coloro che sono intieri di via, Che camminano nella Legge del Signore.
2 How happy they who observe his testimonies, with a whole heart, they seek him.
Beati coloro che guardano le sue testimonianze, Che lo cercano con tutto il cuore;
3 Yea, they have not wrought perversity, In his ways, have they walked.
[I quali] eziandio non operano iniquità; [Anzi] camminano nelle sue vie.
4 Thou, hast commanded thy precepts, that they should be diligently kept.
Tu hai ordinato che i tuoi comandamenti Sieno strettamente osservati.
5 Oh would that my ways might be settled! that I might keep thy statutes.
Oh! sieno pure addirizzate le mie vie, Per osservare i tuoi statuti.
6 Then, shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
Allora io non sarò svergognato, Quando io riguarderò a tutti i tuoi comandamenti.
7 I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned thy righteous regulations.
Io ti celebrerò con dirittura di cuore, Quando io avrò imparate le leggi della tua giustizia.
8 Thy statutes, will I keep, Do not thou forsake me utterly.
Io osserverò i tuoi statuti; Non abbandonarmi del tutto.
9 [BETH.] Wherewithal can a young man keep pure his way? By taking heed, according to thy word.
Come renderà il fanciullo la sua via pura? Prendendo guardia [ad essa] secondo la tua parola.
10 With all my heart, have I sought thee, Suffer me not to be led astray from thy commandments.
Io ti ho cercato con tutto il mio cuore; Non lasciarmi deviar da' tuoi comandamenti.
11 In my heart, have I treasured what thou hast said, to the end I may not sin against thee.
Io ho riposta la tua parola nel mio cuore; Acciocchè io non pecchi contro a te.
12 Blessed art thou, O Yahweh—Teach me thy statutes.
Tu [sei] benedetto, o Signore; Insegnami i tuoi statuti.
13 With my lips, have I recounted All the regulations of thy mouth.
Io ho colle mie labbra raccontate Tutte le leggi della tua bocca.
14 In the way of thy testimonies, have I rejoiced, Like as over all riches.
Io gioisco nella via delle tue testimonianze, Come per tutte le ricchezze [del mondo].
15 In thy precepts, will I meditate, that I may discern thy paths.
Io ragiono de' tuoi comandamenti, E riguardo a' tuoi sentieri.
16 In thy statutes, will I find my dear delight, I will not forget thy word.
Io mi diletto ne' tuoi statuti; Io non dimenticherò le tue parole.
17 [GIMEL.] Bestow thy bounties upon thy servant—let me live, That I may observe thy word.
Fa' del bene al tuo servitore, Ed io viverò, ed osserverò la tua parola.
18 Unveil thou mine eyes, that I may discern Wondrous things out of thy law.
Apri gli occhi miei, ed io riguarderò Le maraviglie della tua Legge.
19 A sojourner, am, I, in the earth, Do not hide from me, thy commandments.
Io [son] forestiere in terra; Non nascondermi i tuoi comandamenti.
20 My soul is crushed with longing for thy just decisions at all times.
L'anima mia si stritola di affezione Alle tue leggi in ogni tempo.
21 Thou hast rebuked the proud as accursed, who stray from thy commandments.
Tu sgridi i superbi maledetti Che deviano da' tuoi comandamenti.
22 Roll from off me, reproach and contempt, For, thy testimonies, have I observed.
Togli d'addosso a me il vituperio e lo sprezzo; Perciocchè io ho guardate le tue testimonianze.
23 Even rulers have taken their seat, against me, have talked, Thy servant, will still meditate in thy statutes.
Eziandio, [mentre] i principi sedevano, e ragionavano contro a me, Il tuo servitore ha meditato ne' tuoi statuti.
24 Yea, thy testimonies, are my dear delight, My counsellors.
Ed anche le tue testimonianze [sono] i miei diletti [Ed] i miei consiglieri.
25 [DALETH.] My soul, cleaveth to the dust, Give me life, according to thy word.
L'anima mia è attaccata alla polvere; Vivificami secondo la tua parola.
26 My ways, I recounted, and thou didst answer me, Teach me thy statutes.
Io [ti] ho narrate le mie vie, e tu mi hai risposto; Insegnami i tuoi statuti.
27 The way of thy precepts, cause thou me to understand, and I will indeed meditate in thy wonders.
Fammi intender la via de' tuoi comandamenti, Ed io ragionerò delle tue maraviglie.
28 My soul weepeth itself away, for grief, Confirm thou me, according to thy word.
L'anima mia stilla di cordoglio; Sollevami secondo le tue parole.
29 The way of falsehood, take thou from me, and, with thy law, O favour me.
Rimuovi da me la via della menzogna; E fammi dono della tua Legge.
30 The way of faithfulness, have I chosen, Thy regulations, have I deemed right.
Io ho scelta la via della verità; Io [mi] son proposte le tue leggi.
31 I have kept close to thy testimonies, O Yahweh! do not put me to shame.
Io mi son tenuto alle tue testimonianze; Signore, non lasciar che io sia confuso.
32 The way of thy commandments, will I run, for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
Correrò nella via de' tuoi comandamenti, Quando tu mi avrai allargato il cuore.
33 [HE.] Point out to me, O Yahweh, the way of thy statutes, that I may observe it unto the end.
Insegnami, Signore, la via de' tuoi statuti; Ed io la guarderò [infino] al fine.
34 Give me understanding, that I may observe thy law, that I may keep it with a whole heart.
Dammi intelletto, ed io guarderò la tua Legge; E l'osserverò con tutto il cuore.
35 Guide me in the path of thy commandments, for, therein, do I find pleasure.
Conducimi per lo sentiero de' tuoi comandamenti; Perciocchè io mi diletto in esso.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not unto unjust gain.
Inchina il mio cuore alle tue testimonianze, E non a cupidigia.
37 Turn away mine eyes, from beholding vanity, In thy way, give me life.
Storna gli occhi miei, che non riguardino a vanità; Vivificami nelle tue vie.
38 Establish, unto thy servant, thy word, which pertaineth to the reverence of thee.
Attieni la tua parola al tuo servitore, Il quale [è tutto] intento al tuo timore.
39 Cause to pass away my reproach, that I have feared, for, thy regulations, are good.
Rimuovi [da me] il mio vituperio, del quale io temo; Perciocchè le tue leggi [son] buone.
40 Lo! I have longed for thy precepts, In thy righteousness, give me life.
Ecco, io desidero affettuosamente i tuoi comandamenti; Vivificami nella tua giustizia.
41 [WAW.] And let thy lovingkindness reach me, O Yahweh, thy salvation, according to thy word.
Ed avvenganmi le tue benignità, o Signore; [E] la tua salute, secondo la tua parola.
42 So shall I have something to answer him that reproacheth me, That I have trusted in thy word.
Ed io risponderò a colui che mi fa vituperio; Perciocchè io mi confido nella tua parola.
43 And do not snatch away from my mouth the word of truth in any wise, because, for thy regulation, have I waited.
E non ritrarmi del tutto dalla bocca la parola della verità; Perciocchè io spero nelle tue leggi.
44 That I may keep thy law continually, to times age-abiding and beyond.
Ed io osserverò la tua Legge del continuo, In sempiterno.
45 That I may walk to and fro in a large place, because, thy precepts, have I sought.
E camminerò al largo; Perciocchè io ho ricercati i tuoi comandamenti.
46 That I may speak of thy testimonies before kings, and not be ashamed.
E parlerò delle tue testimonianze davanti ai re, E non sarò svergognato.
47 That I may find dear delight in thy commandments, which I have loved.
E mi diletterò ne' tuoi comandamenti, I quali io amo.
48 That I may lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and may meditate in thy statutes.
Ed alzerò le palme delle mie mani a' tuoi comandamenti, i quali io amo; E mediterò ne' tuoi statuti.
49 [ZAYIN.] Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
Ricordati della parola [detta] al tuo servitore, Sopra la quale tu mi hai fatto sperare.
50 This, is my comfort in mine affliction, that, thy word, hath given me life.
Questa [è] la mia consolazione nella mia afflizione, Che la tua parola mi ha vivificato.
51 Insolent men, have derided me exceedingly, From thy law, have I not swerved.
I superbi mi hanno grandemente schernito; [Ma] io non mi sono stornato dalla tua Legge.
52 I have remembered thy regulations, [which have come down] from age-past times, O Yahweh, and have consoled myself.
Signore, io mi son ricordato de' tuoi giudicii ab antico; E mi son consolato.
53 A raging heat, hath seized me, by reason of the lawless, who forsake thy law.
Tremito mi occupa, per gli empi Che abbandonano la tua Legge.
54 Songs, have thy statutes become to me, in my house of sojourn.
I tuoi statuti sono stati i miei cantici Nella dimora de' miei pellegrinaggi.
55 I have remembered, in the night, thy Name, O Yahweh, and have kept thy law.
O Signore, di notte io mi son ricordato del tuo Nome, Ed ho osservata la tua Legge.
56 This, have I had, because, thy precepts, have I observed.
Questo mi è avvenuto, Perciocchè io ho guardati i tuoi comandamenti.
57 [HETH.] My portion, is Yahweh, I have promised that I would keep thy words.
Il Signore [è] la mia parte; Io ho detto di osservare le tue parole.
58 I have sought the smile of thy face with all my heart, Show me favour, according to thy word.
Io ti ho supplicato con tutto il cuore; Abbi pietà di me, secondo la tua parola.
59 I have thought upon my ways, and have turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
Io ho fatta ragione delle mie vie; Ed ho rivolti i miei piedi alle tue testimonianze.
60 I have hastened, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.
Io mi sono affrettato, e non mi sono indugiato D'osservare i tuoi comandamenti.
61 The meshes of the lawless, have surrounded me, Thy law, have I not forgotten.
Schiere d'empi mi hanno predato; [Ma però] non ho dimenticata la tua Legge.
62 At midnight, I arise to give thanks unto thee, For thy righteous regulations.
Io mi levo a mezzanotte, per celebrarti, Per le leggi della tua giustizia.
63 Companion, am I, to all who revere thee, and to them who keep thy precepts.
Io [son] compagno di tutti quelli che ti temono, Ed osservano i tuoi comandamenti.
64 Of thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, the earth, is full, Thy statutes, teach thou me.
Signore, la terra è piena della tua benignità; Insegnami i tuoi statuti.
65 [TETH.] Well, hast thou dealt with thy servant, O Yahweh, according to thy word.
Signore, tu hai usata beneficenza inverso il tuo servitore, Secondo la tua parola.
66 Good judgment and knowledge, teach thou me, For, in thy commandments, have I trusted.
Insegnami buon senno ed intendimento; Perciocchè io credo a' tuoi comandamenti.
67 Before I was afflicted, I myself was going astray, but, now, thy word, have I kept.
Avanti che io fossi afflitto, io andava errando; Ma ora osservo la tua parola.
68 Good, thou art, and doing good, Teach me thy statutes.
Tu [sei] buono e benefattore; Insegnami i tuoi statuti.
69 Insolent men have plastered falsehood over me, I, with a whole heart, will observe thy precepts.
I superbi hanno acconciate delle bugie contro a me; [Ma] io con tutto il cuore guarderò i tuoi comandamenti.
70 Gross, like fat, is their heart, I, in thy law, have found dear delight.
Il cuor loro è condenso come grasso; [Ma] io mi diletto nella tua Legge.
71 It is, well for me, that I was afflicted, That I might learn thy statutes.
Egli [è stato] buono per me, che io sono stato afflitto; Acciocchè io impari i tuoi statuti.
72 Better to me, is the law of thy mouth, than thousands of gold and silver.
La Legge della tua bocca mi [è] migliore Che le migliaia d'oro e d'argento.
73 [YODH.] Thine own hands, have made me, and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
Le tue mani mi hanno fatto e formato; Dammi intelletto, ed io imparerò i tuoi comandamenti.
74 They who revere thee, shall see me and rejoice, that, for thy word, I waited.
Quelli che ti temono mi vedranno, e si rallegreranno; Perciocchè io ho sperato nella tua parola.
75 I know, O Yahweh, that righteous are thy regulations, and, in faithfulness, didst thou afflict me.
O Signore, io so che i tuoi giudicii [non sono altro che] giustizia; E [che ciò che] mi hai afflitto [è stato] fedeltà.
76 Let thy lovingkindness, I beseech thee, serve to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
Deh! [sia] la tua benignità per consolarmi, Secondo la tua parola, [detta] al tuo servitore.
77 Let thy compassions reach me, that I may live, for, thy law, is my dear delight.
Avvenganmi le tue misericordie, acciocchè io viva; Perciocchè la tua Legge [è] ogni mio diletto.
78 Let insolent men, be ashamed, because, by means of falsehood, they have dealt with me perversely, I, will meditate in thy precepts.
Sien confusi i superbi, perciocchè a torto mi sovvertono; [Ma] io medito ne' tuoi comandamenti.
79 Let them who revere thee, turn unto me, even they who know thy testimonies.
Rivolgansi a me quelli che ti temono. E quelli che conoscono le tue testimonianze.
80 Let my heart be thorough in thy statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
Sia il mio cuore intiero ne' tuoi statuti; Acciocchè io non sia confuso.
81 [KAPH.] My soul, hath languished for thy salvation, For thy word, have I hoped.
L'anima mia vien meno dietro alla tua salute; Io spero nella tua parola.
82 Mine eyes have failed for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Gli occhi miei vengono meno dietro alla tua parola, Dicendo: Quando mi consolerai tu?
83 Though I have been like a wine-skin in the smoke, thy statutes, have I not forgotten.
Perciocchè io son divenuto come un otro al fumo; E [pur] non ho dimenticati i tuoi statuti.
84 How few are the days of thy servant! When wilt thou execute sentence on my persecutors?
Quanti [hanno da essere] i giorni del tuo servitore? Quando farai giudicio sopra quelli che mi perseguitano?
85 Insolent men digged for me pits, men who are not according to thy law.
I superbi mi hanno cavate delle fosse; Il che non [è] secondo la tua Legge.
86 All thy commandments, are faithful, With falsehood, have they persecuted me, O help me!
Tutti i tuoi comandamenti [son] verità; Essi mi perseguitano a torto; soccorrimi.
87 A little more, and they had consumed me in the earth, but, I, forsake not thy precepts.
Mi hanno pressochè distrutto ed atterrato; [Ma] io non ho abbandonati i tuoi comandamenti.
88 According to thy lovingkindness, give thou me life, so will I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
Vivificami secondo la tua benignità, Ed io osserverò la testimonianza della tua bocca.
89 [LAMED.] Age-abidingly, O Yahweh, hath thy word been set up in the heavens.
O Signore, la tua parola [è] in eterno; Ella è stabile ne' cieli.
90 To generation after generation, is thy faithfulness, Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
La tua verità [è] per ogni età; Tu hai stabilita la terra, ed ella sta ferma.
91 By thy regulations, do they stand to-day, for, all, are thy servants.
[Il cielo e la terra] stanno anche oggi fermi, per li tuoi ordini, Perciocchè ogni cosa [è] al tuo servigio.
92 Had not thy law been my dear delight, then, had I perished in mine affliction.
Se la tua Legge [non fosse stata] ogni mio diletto, Io già sarei perito nella mia afflizione.
93 Unto times age-abiding, will I not forget thy precepts, For, by them, hast thou given me life.
Giammai non dimenticherò i tuoi comandamenti; Perciocchè per essi tu mi hai vivificato.
94 Thine, am I, —oh save me! For, thy precepts, have I sought.
Io [son] tuo, salvami; Perciocchè io ho ricercati i tuoi comandamenti.
95 For me, have the lawless waited, to destroy me, Thy testimonies, will I diligently consider.
Gli empi mi hanno atteso, per farmi perire; [Ma] io ho considerate le tue testimonianze.
96 To all perfection, have I seen an end, Broad is thy commandment, exceedingly.
Io ho veduto che tutte le cose le più perfette hanno fine; Ma il tuo comandamento [è] d'una grandissima distesa.
97 [MEM.] Oh how I love thy law! All the day, is it my (meditation)
Oh! quanto amo la tua Legge! Ella [è] la mia meditazione di tutti i giorni.
98 Beyond mine enemies, will thy commandment make me wise, for, age-abidingly, shall it be mine.
[Per] li tuoi comandamenti tu mi rendi più savio che i miei nemici; Perciocchè [quelli] in perpetuo [sono] miei.
99 Beyond all my teachers, have I shown discretion, for, thy testimonies, are my (meditation)
Io son più intendente che tutti i miei dottori; Perciocchè le tue testimonianze [son] la mia meditazione.
100 Beyond the elders, will I show understanding, for, thy precepts, have I observed.
Io son più avveduto che i vecchi; Perciocchè io ho guardati i tuoi comandamenti.
101 From every way of wickedness, have I withheld my feet, that I might keep thy word.
Io ho rattenuti i miei piedi da ogni sentiero malvagio; Acciocchè io osservi la tua parola.
102 From thy regulations, have I not turned aside, for, thou, hast directed me.
Io non mi sono stornato dalle tue leggi; Perciocchè tu mi hai ammaestrato.
103 How smooth to my palate is thy speech, More than honey, to my mouth.
Oh! quanto son dolci le tue parole al mio palato! [Son più dolci] che miele alla mia bocca.
104 Out of thy precepts, will I get understanding, For this cause, do I hate every false way.
Io son divenuto avveduto per li tuoi comandamenti; Perciò, odio ogni sentiero di falsità.
105 [NUN.] A lamp to my feet, is thy word, and a light to my path.
La tua parola [è] una lampana al mio piè, Ed un lume al mio sentiero.
106 I sware, and have fulfilled, To keep thy righteous regulations.
Io ho giurato, e l'atterrò, Di osservare le leggi della tua giustizia.
107 I have been afflicted exceedingly, —O Yahweh, give me life according to thy word.
Io son sommamente afflitto; O Signore, vivificami secondo la tua parola.
108 The freewill offerings of my mouth, accept, I pray thee, O Yahweh, And, thy regulations, teach thou me.
Deh! Signore, gradisci le offerte volontarie della mia bocca, Ed insegnami le tue leggi.
109 My life, is in my hand continually, Yet, thy law, have I not forgotten.
Io ho l'anima mia del continuo in palma di mano; E pur non ho dimenticata la tua Legge.
110 The lawless have set a snare for me, Yet, from thy precepts, have I not strayed.
Gli empi mi hanno tesi de' lacci; E pur non mi sono sviato da' tuoi comandamenti.
111 As an inheritance have I taken thy testimonies unto times age-abiding, for, the joy of my heart, they are.
Le tue testimonianze [son] la mia eredità in perpetuo; Perciocchè esse [son] la letizia del mio cuore.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes, Age-abidingly, to the end.
Io ho inchinato il mio cuore a mettere in opera i tuoi statuti, In perpetuo, infino al fine.
113 [SAMECH.] Half-hearted ones, do I hate, but, thy law, do I love.
Io odio i discorsi; Ma amo la tua Legge.
114 My hiding-place and my buckler, thou art, For thy word, have I waited.
Tu [sei] il mio nascondimento, ed il mio scudo; Io spero nella tua parola.
115 Depart from me, ye evil-doers, —that I may observe the commandments of my God.
Ritraetevi da me, maligni; Ed io guarderò i comandamenti del mio Dio.
116 Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live, and do not shame me out of my hope!
Sostienmi, secondo la tua parola, ed io viverò; E non rendermi confuso della mia speranza.
117 Sustain me, that I may be saved, and may find dear delight in thy statutes continually.
Confortami, ed io sarò salvato; E riguarderò del continuo a' tuoi statuti.
118 Thou hast made light of all who stray from thy statutes, for their fraud is, falsehood.
Tu calpesti tutti quelli che si sviano da' tuoi statuti; Perciocchè la lor frode [è] una cosa falsa.
119 Dross, have I accounted all the lawless of the earth, therefore do I love thy testimonies.
Tu riduci al niente tutti gli empi della terra, [come] schiume; Perciò io amo le tue testimonianze.
120 My flesh, bristled up from dread of thee, and, of thy regulations, stand I in fear.
La mia carne si raccapriccia tutta per lo spavento di te; Ed io temo de' tuoi giudicii.
121 [AYIN.] I have done justice and righteousness, —Do not leave me to mine oppressors.
Io ho fatto ciò che è diritto e giusto; Non abbandonarmi a quelli che mi oppressano.
122 Be thou surety for thy servant for good, Let not insolent men oppress me.
Da' sicurtà per lo tuo servitore in bene, [E] non [lasciar] che i superbi mi oppressino.
123 Mine eyes, have become dim for thy salvation, and for thy righteous word.
Gli occhi miei vengono meno dietro alla tua salute, Ed alla parola della tua giustizia.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy lovingkindness, and, thy statutes, teach thou me.
Opera inverso il tuo servitore secondo la tua benignità, Ed insegnami i tuoi statuti.
125 Thy servant, I am—give me understanding, so shall I get to know thy testimonies.
Io [son] tuo servitore; dammi intelletto; Acciocchè io possa conoscere le tue testimonianze.
126 It is time that Yahweh should work, They have frustrated thy law!
[Egli è] tempo che il Signore operi; Essi hanno annullata la tua Legge.
127 For this cause, do I love thy commandments, More than gold, yea than fine gold!
Perciò io amo i tuoi comandamenti più che oro; Anzi più che oro finissimo.
128 For this cause, all thy precepts concerning all things, I deem right, Every way of falsehood, I hate.
Perciò approvo, come diritti, tutti i tuoi comandamenti intorno ad ogni cosa; [Ed] odio ogni sentiero di menzogna.
129 [PE.] Wonderful are thy testimonies, For this cause, hath my soul observed them.
Le tue testimonianze [son] cose maravigliose; Perciò l'anima mia le ha guardate.
130 The opening of thy words, sheddeth light, Giving understanding to the simple.
La dichiarazione delle tue parole allumina, [E] dà intelletto a' semplici.
131 My mouth, have I opened wide, and panted, because, for thy commandments, have I longed.
Io ho aperta la bocca, ed ho ansato; Perciocchè io ho bramati i tuoi comandamenti.
132 Turn thyself unto me, and show me favour, —As is befitting, to the lovers of thy Name.
Riguarda a me, ed abbi pietà di me, Secondo ch'è ragionevole [di fare] inverso quelli che amano il tuo Nome.
133 My steps, direct thou by thy word, and let no iniquity, have dominion over me.
Ferma i miei passi nella tua parola; E non [lasciare] che alcuna iniquità signoreggi sopra me.
134 Set me free from the oppression of man, so will I keep thy precepts.
Riscuotimi dall'oppressione degli uomini; Ed io osserverò i tuoi comandamenti.
135 Thy face, light thou up on thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
Fa' rilucere il tuo volto sopra il tuo servitore;
136 Streams of water, have run down mine eyes, because men have not kept thy law.
Ed insegnami i tuoi statuti. Ruscelli d'acque mi scendono giù dagli occhi; Perciocchè la tua Legge non è osservata.
137 [ZADHE.] Righteous art thou, O Yahweh, —and, equitable, are thy regulations.
O Signore, tu [sei] giusto, E i tuoi giudicii [son] diritti.
138 Thou hast righteously commanded thy testimonies, yea in great faithfulness.
Tu hai strettamente comandata la giustizia, E la verità delle tue testimonianze.
139 My zeal, hath put an end to me, for mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
Il mio zelo mi consuma; Perciocchè i miei nemici hanno dimenticate le tue parole.
140 Refined is thy word, to the uttermost, and, thy servant loveth it.
La tua parola [è] sommamente purgata; E però il tuo servitore l'ama.
141 Small, am I, and despised, Thy precepts, have I not forgotten.
Io [son] piccolo e sprezzato; [Ma però] non ho dimenticati i tuoi comandamenti.
142 Thy righteousness, is righteous to times age-abiding, and, thy law, is truth.
La tua giustizia [è] una giustizia eterna, E la tua Legge [è] verità.
143 Straitness and distress, have befallen me, Thy commandments, are my dear delights.
Tribolazione e distretta mi hanno colto; [Ma] i tuoi comandamenti [sono] i miei diletti.
144 Righteous are thy testimonies, unto times age-abiding, Give me understanding, that I may live.
Le tue testimonianze sono una giustizia eterna; Dammi intelletto, ed io viverò.
145 [KOPH.] I have cried out with all my heart, answer me, O Yahweh; Thy statutes, will I observe.
Io ho gridato con tutto il cuore; rispondimi, Signore; [Ed] io guarderò i tuoi statuti.
146 I have cried out unto thee, oh save me, That I may keep thy testimonies.
Io ti ho invocato; salvami, Ed io osserverò le tue testimonianze.
147 I forestalled the twilight, and cried for help, For thy word, I waited.
Io mi son fatto avanti all'alba, ed ho gridato; Io ho sperato nella tua parola.
148 Mine eyes forestalled the night-watches, To meditate in thy word.
Gli occhi miei prevengono le vigilie [della notte]. Per meditar nella tua parola.
149 My voice, O hear, according to thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh! according to thy wont, give me life.
Ascolta la mia voce, secondo la tua benignità; O Signore, vivificami, secondo che tu hai ordinato.
150 They have drawn near, who pursue villainy, From thy law, have they gone far away.
Quelli che vanno dietro a scelleratezza, E si sono allontanati dalla tua Legge, si sono accostati [a me].
151 Near art thou, O Yahweh, and, all thy commandments, are truth.
O Signore, tu [sei] vicino; E tutti i tuoi comandamenti [son] verità.
152 Long, have I known, from thy testimonies, That, to times age-abiding, thou didst establish them.
Gran tempo è che io so [questo] delle tue testimonianze, Che tu le hai stabilite in eterno.
153 [RESH.] Behold mine affliction, and rescue me, For, thy law, have I not forgotten.
Riguarda alla mia afflizione, e tramme[ne] fuori; Perciocchè io non ho dimenticata la tua Legge.
154 Plead my cause, and redeem me, By thy word, give me life
Dibatti la mia lite, e riscuotimi; Vivificami, secondo la tua parola.
155 Far from the lawless, is salvation, For, thy statutes, have they not sought.
La salute [è] lungi dagli empi; Perciocchè non ricercano i tuoi statuti.
156 Thy compassions, are great, O Yahweh, According to thy regulations, give me life.
Le tue misericordie [son] grandi, Signore; Vivificami secondo ciò che hai ordinato.
157 Many, are my persecutors and mine adversaries, From thy testimonies, have I not swerved.
I miei persecutori ed i miei nemici [son] molti; [Ma] io non mi sono deviato dalle tue testimonianze.
158 I have seen traitors, and felt loathing, Because, thy word, they kept not.
Io ho veduti i disleali, e ne ho sentita gran noia; Perciocchè non osservano la tua parola.
159 See thou that, thy precepts, I have loved, O Yahweh, according to thy lovingkindness, give me life.
Vedi quanto amo i tuoi comandamenti! Signore, vivificami, secondo la tua benignità.
160 The sum of thy word, is truth, and, age-abiding, is every one of thy righteous regulations.
La somma della tua parola [è] verità; E tutte le leggi della tua giustizia [sono] in eterno.
161 [SHIN.] Rulers, have persecuted me, without cause, But, of thy word, hath my heart stood in awe.
I principi m'hanno perseguitato senza cagione; Ma il mio cuore ha spavento della tua parola.
162 Joyful am I over thy word, Like the finder of spoil in abundance.
Io mi rallegro per la tua parola, Come una persona che avesse trovate grandi spoglie.
163 Falsehood, I hate and abhor, Thy law, do I love.
Io odio ed abbomino la menzogna; [Ma] io amo la tua Legge.
164 Seven times in the day, have I praised thee, For thy righteous regulations.
Io ti lodo sette volte il dì, Per li giudicii della tua giustizia.
165 Blessing in abundance, have the lovers of thy law, and nothing to make them stumble.
Quelli che amano la tua Legge godono di molta pace; E non [vi è] alcuno intoppo per loro.
166 I have looked for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy commandments, have I done.
Signore, io ho sperato nella tua salute; Ed ho messi in opera i tuoi comandamenti.
167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies, yea I have loved them greatly.
L'anima mia ha osservate le tue testimonianze; Ed io le ho grandemente amate.
168 I have kept thy precepts, and thy testimonies, For, all my ways, are before thee.
Io ho osservati i tuoi comandamenti, e le tue testimonianze; Perciocchè tutte le mie vie [sono] nel tuo cospetto.
169 [TAU] Let my shouting come near before thee, O Yahweh, According to thy word, give me understanding.
Pervenga il mio grido al tuo cospetto, o Signore; Dammi intelletto, secondo la tua parola.
170 Let my supplication come in before thee, According to thy word, deliver me.
Venga la mia supplicazione in tua presenza; Riscuotimi, secondo la tua parola.
171 My lips, shall pour out, praise, When thou shalt teach me thy statutes.
Le mie labbra sgorgheranno lode, Quando tu mi avrai insegnati i tuoi statuti.
172 My tongue, shall respond, with thy word, For, all thy commandments, are righteous.
La mia lingua ragionerà della tua parola; Perciocchè tutti i tuoi comandamenti [son] giustizia.
173 Be thy hand ready to help me, For, thy statutes, have I chosen.
Siami in aiuto la tua mano; Perciocchè io ho eletti i tuoi comandamenti.
174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy law, is my dear delight.
Signore, io ho desiderata la tua salute; E la tua Legge [è] ogni mio diletto.
175 Let my soul live, that it may praise thee, So shall thy regulation help me.
Viva l'anima mia, ed ella ti loderà; E soccorranmi i tuoi ordinamenti.
176 I have strayed like a wandering sheep, O seek thy servant, For, thy commandments, have I not forgotten.
Io vo errando, come una pecora smarrita; cerca il tuo servitore; Perciocchè io non ho dimenticati i tuoi comandamenti.
