Psalms 119
1 [ALEPH.] How happy the men of blameless life, who walk in the law of Yahweh.
ALEPH. Bienheureux [sont] ceux qui sont intègres en leur voie, qui marchent en la Loi de l'Eternel.
2 How happy they who observe his testimonies, with a whole heart, they seek him.
Bienheureux sont ceux qui gardent ses témoignages, et qui le cherchent de tout leur cœur;
3 Yea, they have not wrought perversity, In his ways, have they walked.
Qui aussi ne font point d'iniquité, [et] qui marchent dans ses voies.
4 Thou, hast commanded thy precepts, that they should be diligently kept.
Tu as donné tes commandements afin qu'on les garde soigneusement.
5 Oh would that my ways might be settled! that I might keep thy statutes.
Qu'il te plaise, ô Dieu! que mes voies soient bien dressées, pour garder tes statuts.
6 Then, shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
Et je ne rougirai point de honte, quand je regarderai à tous tes commandements.
7 I will thank thee with uprightness of heart, when I have learned thy righteous regulations.
Je te célébrerai avec droiture de cœur, quand j'aurai appris les ordonnances de ta justice.
8 Thy statutes, will I keep, Do not thou forsake me utterly.
Je veux garder tes statuts; ne me délaisse point entièrement.
9 [BETH.] Wherewithal can a young man keep pure his way? By taking heed, according to thy word.
BETH. Par quel moyen le jeune homme rendra-t-il pure sa voie? Ce sera en y prenant garde selon ta parole.
10 With all my heart, have I sought thee, Suffer me not to be led astray from thy commandments.
Je t'ai recherché de tout mon cœur, ne me fais point fourvoyer de tes commandements.
11 In my heart, have I treasured what thou hast said, to the end I may not sin against thee.
J'ai serré ta parole dans mon cœur, afin que je ne pèche point contre toi.
12 Blessed art thou, O Yahweh—Teach me thy statutes.
Eternel! tu es béni; enseigne-moi tes statuts.
13 With my lips, have I recounted All the regulations of thy mouth.
J'ai raconté de mes lèvres toutes les ordonnances de ta bouche.
14 In the way of thy testimonies, have I rejoiced, Like as over all riches.
Je me suis réjoui dans le chemin de tes témoignages, comme si j'eusse eu toutes les richesses du monde.
15 In thy precepts, will I meditate, that I may discern thy paths.
Je m'entretiendrai de tes commandements, et je regarderai à tes sentiers.
16 In thy statutes, will I find my dear delight, I will not forget thy word.
Je prends plaisir à tes statuts, et je n'oublierai point tes paroles.
17 [GIMEL.] Bestow thy bounties upon thy servant—let me live, That I may observe thy word.
GUIMEL. Fais ce bien à ton serviteur que. je vive, et je garderai ta parole.
18 Unveil thou mine eyes, that I may discern Wondrous things out of thy law.
Dessille mes yeux, afin que je regarde aux merveilles de ta Loi.
19 A sojourner, am, I, in the earth, Do not hide from me, thy commandments.
Je suis voyageur en la terre; ne cache point de moi tes commandements.
20 My soul is crushed with longing for thy just decisions at all times.
Mon âme est toute embrasée de l'affection qu'elle a de tout temps pour tes ordonnances.
21 Thou hast rebuked the proud as accursed, who stray from thy commandments.
Tu as rudement tancé les orgueilleux maudits, qui se détournent de tes commandements.
22 Roll from off me, reproach and contempt, For, thy testimonies, have I observed.
Ote de dessus moi l'opprobre et le mépris; car j'ai gardé tes témoignages.
23 Even rulers have taken their seat, against me, have talked, Thy servant, will still meditate in thy statutes.
Même les principaux se sont assis [et] ont parlé contre moi, pendant que ton serviteur s'entretenait de tes statuts.
24 Yea, thy testimonies, are my dear delight, My counsellors.
Aussi tes témoignages [sont] mes plaisirs, [et] les gens de mon conseil.
25 [DALETH.] My soul, cleaveth to the dust, Give me life, according to thy word.
DALETH. Mon âme est attachée à la poudre; fais-moi revivre selon ta parole.
26 My ways, I recounted, and thou didst answer me, Teach me thy statutes.
Je t'ai déclaré au long mes voies, et tu m'as répondu; enseigne-moi tes statuts.
27 The way of thy precepts, cause thou me to understand, and I will indeed meditate in thy wonders.
Fais-moi entendre la voie de tes commandements, et je discourrai de tes merveilles.
28 My soul weepeth itself away, for grief, Confirm thou me, according to thy word.
Mon âme s'est fondue d'ennui, relève moi selon tes paroles.
29 The way of falsehood, take thou from me, and, with thy law, O favour me.
Eloigne de moi la voie du mensonge, et me donne gratuitement ta Loi.
30 The way of faithfulness, have I chosen, Thy regulations, have I deemed right.
J'ai choisi la voie de la vérité, et je me suis proposé tes ordonnances.
31 I have kept close to thy testimonies, O Yahweh! do not put me to shame.
J'ai été attaché à tes témoignages, ô Eternel! ne me fais point rougir de honte.
32 The way of thy commandments, will I run, for thou wilt enlarge my heart.
Je courrai par la voie de tes commandements, quand tu auras mis mon cœur au large.
33 [HE.] Point out to me, O Yahweh, the way of thy statutes, that I may observe it unto the end.
HE. Eternel, enseigne-moi la voie de tes statuts, et je la garderai jusques au bout.
34 Give me understanding, that I may observe thy law, that I may keep it with a whole heart.
Donne-moi de l'intelligence; je garderai ta Loi, et je l'observerai de tout [mon] cœur.
35 Guide me in the path of thy commandments, for, therein, do I find pleasure.
Fais-moi marcher dans le sentier de tes commandements; car j'y prends plaisir.
36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not unto unjust gain.
Incline mon cœur à tes témoignages, et non point au gain déshonnête.
37 Turn away mine eyes, from beholding vanity, In thy way, give me life.
Détourne mes yeux qu'ils ne regardent à la vanité; fais-moi revivre par le moyen de tes voies.
38 Establish, unto thy servant, thy word, which pertaineth to the reverence of thee.
Ratifie ta parole à ton serviteur, qui est adonné à ta crainte.
39 Cause to pass away my reproach, that I have feared, for, thy regulations, are good.
Ote mon opprobre, lequel j'ai craint; car tes ordonnances sont bonnes.
40 Lo! I have longed for thy precepts, In thy righteousness, give me life.
Voici, je suis affectionné à tes commandements; fais-moi revivre par ta justice.
41 [WAW.] And let thy lovingkindness reach me, O Yahweh, thy salvation, according to thy word.
VAU. Et que tes faveurs viennent sur moi, ô Eternel! [et] ta délivrance aussi, selon ta parole;
42 So shall I have something to answer him that reproacheth me, That I have trusted in thy word.
Afin que j'aie de quoi répondre à celui qui me charge d'opprobre: car j'ai mis ma confiance en ta parole.
43 And do not snatch away from my mouth the word of truth in any wise, because, for thy regulation, have I waited.
Et n'arrache point de ma bouche la parole de vérité; car je me suis attendu à tes ordonnances.
44 That I may keep thy law continually, to times age-abiding and beyond.
Je garderai continuellement ta Loi, à toujours et à perpétuité.
45 That I may walk to and fro in a large place, because, thy precepts, have I sought.
Je marcherai au large, parce que j'ai recherché tes commandements.
46 That I may speak of thy testimonies before kings, and not be ashamed.
Je parlerai de tes témoignages devant les Rois, et je ne rougirai point de honte.
47 That I may find dear delight in thy commandments, which I have loved.
Et je prendrai mon plaisir en tes commandements, que j'ai aimés;
48 That I may lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and may meditate in thy statutes.
Même j'étendrai mes mains vers tes commandements, que j'ai aimés; et je m'entretiendrai de tes statuts.
49 [ZAYIN.] Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
ZAIN. Souviens-toi de la parole donnée à ton serviteur, à laquelle tu as fait que je me suis attendu.
50 This, is my comfort in mine affliction, that, thy word, hath given me life.
C'[est] ici ma consolation dans mon affliction, que ta parole m'a remis en vie.
51 Insolent men, have derided me exceedingly, From thy law, have I not swerved.
Les orgueilleux se sont fort moqués de moi, [mais] je ne me suis point dé tourné de ta Loi.
52 I have remembered thy regulations, [which have come down] from age-past times, O Yahweh, and have consoled myself.
Eternel, je me suis souvenu des jugements d'ancienneté, et je me suis consolé [en eux].
53 A raging heat, hath seized me, by reason of the lawless, who forsake thy law.
L'horreur m'a saisi, à cause des méchants qui ont abandonné ta Loi.
54 Songs, have thy statutes become to me, in my house of sojourn.
Tes statuts ont été le sujet de mes cantiques dans la maison où j ai demeuré comme voyageur.
55 I have remembered, in the night, thy Name, O Yahweh, and have kept thy law.
Eternel, je me suis souvenu de ton Nom pendant la nuit, et j'ai gardé ta Loi.
56 This, have I had, because, thy precepts, have I observed.
Cela m'est arrivé, parce que je gardais tes commandements.
57 [HETH.] My portion, is Yahweh, I have promised that I would keep thy words.
HETH. Ô Eternel! j'ai conclu que ma portion était de garder tes paroles.
58 I have sought the smile of thy face with all my heart, Show me favour, according to thy word.
Je t'ai supplié de tout mon cœur, aie pitié de moi selon ta parole.
59 I have thought upon my ways, and have turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
J'ai fait le compte de mes voies, et j'ai rebroussé chemin vers tes témoignages.
60 I have hastened, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.
Je me suis hâté, je n'ai point différé à garder tes commandements.
61 The meshes of the lawless, have surrounded me, Thy law, have I not forgotten.
Les troupes des méchants m'ont pillé, [mais] je n'ai point oublié ta Loi.
62 At midnight, I arise to give thanks unto thee, For thy righteous regulations.
Je me lève à minuit pour te célébrer à cause des ordonnances de ta justice.
63 Companion, am I, to all who revere thee, and to them who keep thy precepts.
Je m'accompagne de tous ceux qui te craignent, et qui gardent tes commandements.
64 Of thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh, the earth, is full, Thy statutes, teach thou me.
Eternel, la terre est pleine de tes faveurs; enseigne-moi tes statuts.
65 [TETH.] Well, hast thou dealt with thy servant, O Yahweh, according to thy word.
TETH. Eternel, tu as fait du bien à ton serviteur selon ta parole.
66 Good judgment and knowledge, teach thou me, For, in thy commandments, have I trusted.
Enseigne-moi d'avoir bon sens et connaissance, car j'ai ajouté foi à tes commandements.
67 Before I was afflicted, I myself was going astray, but, now, thy word, have I kept.
Avant que je fusse affligé, j'allais à travers champs; mais maintenant j'observe ta parole.
68 Good, thou art, and doing good, Teach me thy statutes.
Tu [es] bon et bienfaisant, enseigne-moi tes statuts.
69 Insolent men have plastered falsehood over me, I, with a whole heart, will observe thy precepts.
Les orgueilleux ont forgé des faussetés contre moi; [mais] je garderai de tout mon cœur tes commandements.
70 Gross, like fat, is their heart, I, in thy law, have found dear delight.
Leur cœur est comme figé de graisse; mais moi, je prends plaisir en ta Loi.
71 It is, well for me, that I was afflicted, That I might learn thy statutes.
Il m'est bon que j'aie été affligé, afin que j'apprenne tes statuts.
72 Better to me, is the law of thy mouth, than thousands of gold and silver.
La Loi [que tu as prononcée] de ta bouche, m'[est] plus précieuse que mille [pièces] d'or ou d'argent.
73 [YODH.] Thine own hands, have made me, and formed me. Give me understanding, that I may learn thy commandments.
JOD. Tes mains m'ont fait, et façonné; rends-moi entendu, afin que j'apprenne tes commandements.
74 They who revere thee, shall see me and rejoice, that, for thy word, I waited.
Ceux qui te craignent me verront, et se réjouiront; parce que je me suis attendu à ta parole.
75 I know, O Yahweh, that righteous are thy regulations, and, in faithfulness, didst thou afflict me.
Je connais, ô Eternel! que tes ordonnances ne sont que justice; et que tu m'as affligé suivant ta fidélité.
76 Let thy lovingkindness, I beseech thee, serve to comfort me, according to thy word to thy servant.
Je te prie, que ta miséricorde me console, selon ta parole [adressée] à ton serviteur.
77 Let thy compassions reach me, that I may live, for, thy law, is my dear delight.
Que tes compassions se répandent sur moi, et je vivrai; car ta Loi est tout mon plaisir.
78 Let insolent men, be ashamed, because, by means of falsehood, they have dealt with me perversely, I, will meditate in thy precepts.
Que les orgueilleux rougissent de honte, de ce qu ils m'ont renversé sans sujet; [mais] moi, je discourrai de tes commandements.
79 Let them who revere thee, turn unto me, even they who know thy testimonies.
Que ceux qui te craignent, et ceux qui connaissent tes témoignages, reviennent vers moi.
80 Let my heart be thorough in thy statutes, that I may not be ashamed.
Que mon cœur soit intègre dans tes statuts, afin que je ne rougisse point de honte.
81 [KAPH.] My soul, hath languished for thy salvation, For thy word, have I hoped.
CAPH. Mon âme s'est consumée en attendant ta délivrance; je me suis attendu à ta parole.
82 Mine eyes have failed for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
Mes yeux se sont épuisés [en attendant] ta parole, lorsque j'ai dit: quand me consoleras-tu?
83 Though I have been like a wine-skin in the smoke, thy statutes, have I not forgotten.
Car je suis devenu comme un outre mis à la fumée, [et je] n'ai point oublié tes statuts.
84 How few are the days of thy servant! When wilt thou execute sentence on my persecutors?
Combien [ont à durer] les jours de ton serviteur? Quand jugeras-tu ceux qui me poursuivent?
85 Insolent men digged for me pits, men who are not according to thy law.
Les orgueilleux m'ont creusé des fosses, ce qui n'est pas selon ta Loi.
86 All thy commandments, are faithful, With falsehood, have they persecuted me, O help me!
Tous tes commandements [ne sont que] fidélité; on me persécute sans cause; aide-moi.
87 A little more, and they had consumed me in the earth, but, I, forsake not thy precepts.
On m'a presque réduit à rien, [et] mis par terre: mais je n'ai point abandonné tes commandements.
88 According to thy lovingkindness, give thou me life, so will I keep the testimonies of thy mouth.
Fais-moi revivre selon ta miséricorde, et je garderai le témoignage de ta bouche.
89 [LAMED.] Age-abidingly, O Yahweh, hath thy word been set up in the heavens.
LAMED. Ô Eternel! ta parole subsiste à toujours dans les cieux.
90 To generation after generation, is thy faithfulness, Thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
Ta fidélité dure d'âge en âge; tu as établi la terre, et elle demeure ferme.
91 By thy regulations, do they stand to-day, for, all, are thy servants.
[Ces choses] subsistent aujourd'hui selon tes ordonnances; car toutes choses te servent.
92 Had not thy law been my dear delight, then, had I perished in mine affliction.
N'eût été que ta Loi a été tout mon plaisir, j'eusse déjà péri dans mon affliction.
93 Unto times age-abiding, will I not forget thy precepts, For, by them, hast thou given me life.
Je n'oublierai jamais tes commandements; car tu m'as fait revivre par eux.
94 Thine, am I, —oh save me! For, thy precepts, have I sought.
Je suis à toi, sauve-moi; car j'ai recherché tes commandements.
95 For me, have the lawless waited, to destroy me, Thy testimonies, will I diligently consider.
Les méchants m'ont attendu, pour me faire périr; [mais] je me suis rendu attentif à tes témoignages.
96 To all perfection, have I seen an end, Broad is thy commandment, exceedingly.
J'ai vu un bout dans toutes les choses les plus parfaites; [mais] ton commandement [est] d'une très-grande étendue.
97 [MEM.] Oh how I love thy law! All the day, is it my (meditation)
MEM. Ô combien j'aime ta Loi! c'est ce dont je m'entretiens tout le jour.
98 Beyond mine enemies, will thy commandment make me wise, for, age-abidingly, shall it be mine.
Tu m'as rendu plus sage par tes commandements, que ne sont mes ennemis; parce que tes commandements sont toujours avec moi.
99 Beyond all my teachers, have I shown discretion, for, thy testimonies, are my (meditation)
J'ai surpassé en prudence tous ceux qui m'avaient enseigné, parce que tes témoignages son mon entretien.
100 Beyond the elders, will I show understanding, for, thy precepts, have I observed.
Je suis devenu plus intelligent que les anciens, parce que j'ai observé tes commandements.
101 From every way of wickedness, have I withheld my feet, that I might keep thy word.
J'ai gardé mes pieds de toute mauvaise voie, afin que j'observasse ta parole.
102 From thy regulations, have I not turned aside, for, thou, hast directed me.
Je ne me suis point détourné de tes ordonnances, parce que tu me [les] as enseignées.
103 How smooth to my palate is thy speech, More than honey, to my mouth.
Ô que ta parole a été douce à mon palais! plus douce que le miel à ma bouche.
104 Out of thy precepts, will I get understanding, For this cause, do I hate every false way.
Je suis devenu intelligent par tes commandements, c'est pourquoi j'ai haï toute voie de mensonge.
105 [NUN.] A lamp to my feet, is thy word, and a light to my path.
NUN. Ta parole est une lampe à mon pied, et une lumière à mon sentier.
106 I sware, and have fulfilled, To keep thy righteous regulations.
J'ai juré, et je le tiendrai, d'observer les ordonnances de ta justice.
107 I have been afflicted exceedingly, —O Yahweh, give me life according to thy word.
Eternel, je suis extrêmement affligé, fais-moi revivre selon ta parole.
108 The freewill offerings of my mouth, accept, I pray thee, O Yahweh, And, thy regulations, teach thou me.
Eternel, je te prie, aie pour agréables les oblations volontaires de ma bouche, et enseigne-moi tes ordonnances.
109 My life, is in my hand continually, Yet, thy law, have I not forgotten.
Ma vie a été continuellement en danger, toutefois je n'ai point oublié ta Loi.
110 The lawless have set a snare for me, Yet, from thy precepts, have I not strayed.
Les méchants m'ont tendu des piéges, toutefois je ne me suis point égaré de tes commandements.
111 As an inheritance have I taken thy testimonies unto times age-abiding, for, the joy of my heart, they are.
J'ai pris pour héritage perpétuel tes témoignages; car ils sont la joie de mon cœur.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes, Age-abidingly, to the end.
J'ai incliné mon cœur à accomplir toujours tes statuts jusques au bout.
113 [SAMECH.] Half-hearted ones, do I hate, but, thy law, do I love.
SAMECH. J'ai eu en haine les pensées diverses, mais j'ai aimé ta Loi.
114 My hiding-place and my buckler, thou art, For thy word, have I waited.
Tu es mon asile et mon bouclier, je me suis attendu à ta parole.
115 Depart from me, ye evil-doers, —that I may observe the commandments of my God.
Méchants, retirez-vous de moi, et je garderai les commandements de mon Dieu.
116 Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live, and do not shame me out of my hope!
Soutiens-moi suivant ta parole, et je vivrai; et ne me fais point rougir de honte en me refusant ce que j'espérais.
117 Sustain me, that I may be saved, and may find dear delight in thy statutes continually.
Soutiens-moi, et je serai en sûreté, et j'aurai continuellement les yeux sur tes statuts.
118 Thou hast made light of all who stray from thy statutes, for their fraud is, falsehood.
Tu as foulé aux pieds tous ceux qui se détournent de tes statuts; car le mensonge est le moyen dont ils se servent pour tromper.
119 Dross, have I accounted all the lawless of the earth, therefore do I love thy testimonies.
Tu as réduit à néant tous les méchants de la terre, comme n'étant qu'écume; c'est pourquoi j'ai aimé tes témoignages.
120 My flesh, bristled up from dread of thee, and, of thy regulations, stand I in fear.
Ma chair a frémi de la frayeur que j'ai de toi, et j'ai craint tes jugements.
121 [AYIN.] I have done justice and righteousness, —Do not leave me to mine oppressors.
HAJIN. J'ai exercé jugement et justice, ne m'abandonne point à ceux qui me font tort.
122 Be thou surety for thy servant for good, Let not insolent men oppress me.
Sois le pleige de ton serviteur pour son bien; [et ne permets pas] que je sois opprimé par les orgueilleux,
123 Mine eyes, have become dim for thy salvation, and for thy righteous word.
Mes yeux se sont épuisés en attendant ta délivrance, et la parole de ta justice.
124 Deal with thy servant according to thy lovingkindness, and, thy statutes, teach thou me.
Agis envers ton serviteur suivant ta miséricorde et m'enseigne tes statuts.
125 Thy servant, I am—give me understanding, so shall I get to know thy testimonies.
Je suis ton serviteur, rends-moi intelligent, et je connaîtrai tes témoignages.
126 It is time that Yahweh should work, They have frustrated thy law!
Il est temps que l'Eternel opère; ils ont aboli ta Loi.
127 For this cause, do I love thy commandments, More than gold, yea than fine gold!
C'est pourquoi j'ai aimé tes commandements, plus que l'or, même plus que le fin or.
128 For this cause, all thy precepts concerning all things, I deem right, Every way of falsehood, I hate.
C'est pourquoi j'ai estimé droits tous les commandements que tu donnes de toutes choses, [et] j'ai eu en haine toute voie de mensonge.
129 [PE.] Wonderful are thy testimonies, For this cause, hath my soul observed them.
PE. Tes témoignages sont des choses merveilleuses; c'est pourquoi mon âme les a gardés.
130 The opening of thy words, sheddeth light, Giving understanding to the simple.
L'entrée de tes paroles illumine, [et] donne de l'intelligence aux simples.
131 My mouth, have I opened wide, and panted, because, for thy commandments, have I longed.
J'ai ouvert ma bouche, et j'ai soupiré; car j'ai souhaité tes commandements.
132 Turn thyself unto me, and show me favour, —As is befitting, to the lovers of thy Name.
Regarde-moi, et aie pitié de moi, selon que tu as ordinairement compassion de ceux qui aiment ton Nom.
133 My steps, direct thou by thy word, and let no iniquity, have dominion over me.
Affermis mes pas sur ta parole, et que l'iniquité n'ait point d'empire sur moi.
134 Set me free from the oppression of man, so will I keep thy precepts.
Délivre-moi de l'oppression des hommes, afin que je garde tes commandements.
135 Thy face, light thou up on thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
Fais luire ta face sur ton serviteur, et m'enseigne tes statuts.
136 Streams of water, have run down mine eyes, because men have not kept thy law.
Mes yeux se sont fondus en ruisseaux d'eau, parce qu'on n'observe point ta Loi.
137 [ZADHE.] Righteous art thou, O Yahweh, —and, equitable, are thy regulations.
TSADE. Tu es juste, ô Eternel! et droit en tes jugements.
138 Thou hast righteously commanded thy testimonies, yea in great faithfulness.
Tu as ordonné tes témoignages comme une chose juste, et souverainement ferme.
139 My zeal, hath put an end to me, for mine adversaries have forgotten thy words.
Mon zèle m'a miné; parce que mes adversaires ont oublié tes paroles.
140 Refined is thy word, to the uttermost, and, thy servant loveth it.
Ta parole est souverainement raffinée, c'est pourquoi ton serviteur l'aime.
141 Small, am I, and despised, Thy precepts, have I not forgotten.
Je suis petit et méprisé, [toutefois] je n'oublie point tes commandements.
142 Thy righteousness, is righteous to times age-abiding, and, thy law, is truth.
Ta justice est une justice à toujours, et ta Loi est la vérité.
143 Straitness and distress, have befallen me, Thy commandments, are my dear delights.
La détresse et l'angoisse m'avaient rencontré; [mais] tes commandements sont mes plaisirs.
144 Righteous are thy testimonies, unto times age-abiding, Give me understanding, that I may live.
Tes témoignages ne sont que justice à toujours; donne m'en l’intelligence, afin que je vive.
145 [KOPH.] I have cried out with all my heart, answer me, O Yahweh; Thy statutes, will I observe.
KOPH. J'ai crié de tout mon cœur, réponds-moi, ô Eternel! [et] je garderai tes statuts.
146 I have cried out unto thee, oh save me, That I may keep thy testimonies.

147 I forestalled the twilight, and cried for help, For thy word, I waited.

148 Mine eyes forestalled the night-watches, To meditate in thy word.
Mes yeux ont prévenu les veilles de la nuit pour méditer la parole.
149 My voice, O hear, according to thy lovingkindness, O Yahweh! according to thy wont, give me life.
Ecoute ma voix selon ta miséricorde: ô Eternel! fais-moi revivre selon ton ordonnance.
150 They have drawn near, who pursue villainy, From thy law, have they gone far away.
Ceux qui sont adonnés à des machinations se sont approchés de moi, [et] ils se sont éloignés de ta Loi.
151 Near art thou, O Yahweh, and, all thy commandments, are truth.
Eternel, tu es aussi près de moi; et tous tes commandements ne sont que vérité.
152 Long, have I known, from thy testimonies, That, to times age-abiding, thou didst establish them.
J'ai connu dès longtemps touchant tes témoignages, que tu les as fondés pour toujours.
153 [RESH.] Behold mine affliction, and rescue me, For, thy law, have I not forgotten.
RESCH. Regarde mon affliction, et m'en retire; car je n'ai point oublié ta Loi.
154 Plead my cause, and redeem me, By thy word, give me life
Soutiens ma cause, et me rachète; fais-moi revivre suivant ta parole.
155 Far from the lawless, is salvation, For, thy statutes, have they not sought.
La délivrance est loin des méchants; parce qu'ils n'ont point recherché tes statuts.
156 Thy compassions, are great, O Yahweh, According to thy regulations, give me life.
Tes compassions sont en grand nombre, ô Eternel! fais-moi revivre selon tes ordonnances.
157 Many, are my persecutors and mine adversaries, From thy testimonies, have I not swerved.
Ceux qui me persécutent et qui me pressent, [sont] en grand nombre: [toutefois] je ne me suis point détourné de tes témoignages.
158 I have seen traitors, and felt loathing, Because, thy word, they kept not.
J'ai jeté les yeux sur les perfides et j'ai été rempli de tristesse de ce qu'ils n'observaient point ta parole.
159 See thou that, thy precepts, I have loved, O Yahweh, according to thy lovingkindness, give me life.
Regarde combien j'ai aimé tes commandements; Eternel! fais-moi revivre selon ta miséricorde.
160 The sum of thy word, is truth, and, age-abiding, is every one of thy righteous regulations.
Le principal point de ta parole est la vérité, et toute l'ordonnance de ta justice est à toujours.
161 [SHIN.] Rulers, have persecuted me, without cause, But, of thy word, hath my heart stood in awe.
SCIN. Les principaux du peuple m'ont persécuté sans sujet; mais mon cœur a été effrayé à cause de ta parole.
162 Joyful am I over thy word, Like the finder of spoil in abundance.
Je me réjouis de ta parole, comme ferait celui qui aurait trouvé un grand butin.
163 Falsehood, I hate and abhor, Thy law, do I love.
J'ai eu en haine et en abomination le mensonge; j'ai aimé ta Loi.
164 Seven times in the day, have I praised thee, For thy righteous regulations.
Sept fois le jour je te loue à cause des ordonnances de ta justice.
165 Blessing in abundance, have the lovers of thy law, and nothing to make them stumble.
Il y a une grande paix pour ceux qui aiment ta Loi, et rien ne peut les renverser.
166 I have looked for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy commandments, have I done.
Eternel, j'ai espéré en ta délivrance, et j'ai fait tes commandements.
167 My soul hath kept thy testimonies, yea I have loved them greatly.
Mon âme a observé tes témoignages, et je les ai souverainement aimés.
168 I have kept thy precepts, and thy testimonies, For, all my ways, are before thee.
J'ai observé tes commandements et tes témoignages; car toutes mes voies sont devant toi.
169 [TAU] Let my shouting come near before thee, O Yahweh, According to thy word, give me understanding.
THAU. Eternel, que mon cri approche de ta présence; rends-moi intelligent selon ta parole.
170 Let my supplication come in before thee, According to thy word, deliver me.
Que ma supplication vienne devant toi; délivre-moi selon ta parole.
171 My lips, shall pour out, praise, When thou shalt teach me thy statutes.
Mes lèvres publieront ta louange, quand tu m'auras enseigné tes statuts.
172 My tongue, shall respond, with thy word, For, all thy commandments, are righteous.
Ma langue ne s'entretiendra que de ta parole; parce que tous tes commandements ne sont que justice.
173 Be thy hand ready to help me, For, thy statutes, have I chosen.
Que ta main me soit en aide, parce que j'ai choisi tes commandements.
174 I have longed for thy salvation, O Yahweh, and, thy law, is my dear delight.
Eternel, j'ai souhaité ta délivrance, et ta Loi est tout mon plaisir.
175 Let my soul live, that it may praise thee, So shall thy regulation help me.
Que mon âme vive, afin qu'elle te loue; et fais que tes ordonnances me soient en aide.
176 I have strayed like a wandering sheep, O seek thy servant, For, thy commandments, have I not forgotten.
J'ai été égaré comme la brebis perdue; cherche ton serviteur; car je n'ai point mis en oubli tes commandements.
