Luke 2
1 Now it came to pass, in those days, that there went forth a decree from Caesar Augustus, for all the inhabited earth to be enrolled:
১সেই সময়ত চীজাৰ আগষ্টচে নিৰ্দেশ জাৰি কৰিলে যে, ৰোম সাম্রাজ্যত বাস কৰা সকলো লোকৰ নাম লিখাই গণনা কৰা হওক।
2 this enrolment, first was made while Cyrenius was governor of Syria:
২চিৰিয়াৰ ৰাজ্যপাল কুৰীণীয়ৰ সময়ত এয়ে প্ৰথম লোক পিয়ল হৈছিল।
3 and all were journeying to be enrolled, each one unto his own city.
৩সেয়ে, নাম লিখাবৰ বাবে প্রত্যেকে নিজৰ নিজৰ নগৰলৈ গ’ল।
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of a city Nazareth, into Judaea, into the city of David which is called Bethlehem; because he was of the house and family of David:
৪ৰজা দায়ুদৰ বংশধৰ হোৱা হেতুকে যোচেফেও গালীল প্রদেশৰ নাচৰত নগৰৰ পৰা দায়ুদৰ নগৰ নামেৰে খ্যাত যিহূদাৰ বৈৎলেহম নগৰলৈ গ’ল।
5 to enrol himself with Mary who was betrothed to him, she being with child.
৫যোচেফে তেওঁলৈ বাগ্দান কৰা মৰিয়মকো লগত লৈ নাম লিখাবৰ বাবে গ’ল। সেই সময়ত মৰিয়ম গর্ভৱতী আছিল।
6 And it came to pass, while they were there, that the days were fulfilled for her to give birth;
৬পাছত তেওঁলোক তাতে থাকোতে, মৰিয়মৰ প্ৰসৱৰ কাল পূৰ্ণ হ’ল।
7 and she gave birth to her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
৭তেওঁ নিজৰ প্রথম পুত্ৰ সন্তান প্ৰসৱ কৰিলে আৰু তেওঁক কাপোৰেৰে মেৰিয়াই দানা পাত্ৰত শুৱাই থলে; কাৰণ অতিথিশালাত তেওঁলোকৰ কাৰণে থকা ঠাই নাছিল।
8 And there were, shepherds, in the same country, dwelling in the fields, and keeping the watches of the night over their flock.
৮সেই অঞ্চলত কিছুমান মেষৰখীয়াই ৰাতি পথাৰত নিজৰ নিজৰ জাকবোৰ পহৰা দি আছিল।
9 And, a messenger of the Lord, stood over them, and, a glory of the Lord, shone round about them; and they feared, a great fear.
৯হঠাতে প্ৰভুৰ দূত এজন আহি তেওঁলোকৰ ওচৰত উপস্থিত হ’ল আৰু তেতিয়াই প্রভুৰ মহিমা তেওঁলোকৰ চাৰিওফালে উজ্জ্বল হৈ প্ৰকাশিত হ’ল; তাতে তেওঁলোকৰ অতিশয় ভয় লাগিল।
10 And the messenger said unto them—Be not afraid! For lo! I bring you good tidings of a great joy, the which shall be for all the people:
১০তেতিয়া দূতে তেওঁলোকক কলে, “ভয় নকৰিবা; কিয়নো চোৱা, যি শুভবার্তা সকলো লোকৰ কাৰণে হব, সেই মহা আনন্দৰ শুভবার্তা মই তোমালোকৰ আগত ঘোষণা কৰোঁ যে,
11 That there hath been born unto you, this day, a saviour, —Who is Christ the Lord—in the city of David!
১১আজি দায়ুদৰ নগৰত তোমালোকৰ কাৰণে ত্ৰাণকর্তা জন্মিল; তেওঁ অভিষিক্ত প্ৰভু খ্ৰীষ্ট।
12 And, this, to you is, a sign: Ye shall find a babe, wrapped in swaddling clothes, and lying in a manger.
১২তোমালোকলৈ এয়ে চিন হব যে, ল’ৰা জনক কাপোৰেৰে মেৰিয়াই দানা পাত্ৰত শুৱাই থোৱা দেখা পাবা।”
13 And, suddenly, there came to be, with the messenger, the throng of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying—
১৩তেতিয়া অকস্মাতে স্বর্গবাহিনীৰ এক বৃহৎ দলে সেই দূতৰ লগ ল’লে আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ প্রশংসা কৰি কবলৈ ধৰিলে,
14 Glory, in the highest, unto God! And, on earth, peace, among men of goodwill.
১৪“উৰ্দ্ধলোকত ঈশ্বৰৰ মহিমা, আৰু পৃথিৱীত তেওঁৰ প্ৰীতিৰ পাত্ৰ মানুহবোৰৰ মাজত শান্তি।”
15 And it came to pass, when the messengers had departed from them into heaven, that, the shepherds, began to say one to another—Let us go through forthwith as far as to Bethlehem, and see this thing which hath come to pass, which the Lord hath made known to us.
১৫পাছত স্বর্গৰ দূত সকল তেওঁলোকৰ ওচৰৰ পৰা স্বৰ্গলৈ উলটি যোৱাত মেষৰখীয়াবোৰে পৰস্পৰে কোৱা-কুই কৰিলে, “ব’লা, এতিয়া আমি বৈৎলেহমলৈ যাওঁহক; যি ঘটনাৰ কথা প্রভুৱে আমাৰ আগত ঘোষণা কৰিলে, তাকে চাবলৈ যাওঁ ব’লা।”
16 And they came, with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the babe lying in the manger.
১৬তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকে বেগাই বিচাৰি গ’ল, তাতে বিচাৰি যোৱাত মৰিয়ম, যোচেফ, আৰু দানা পাত্ৰত শুৱাই থোৱা ল’ৰা জনক দেখা পালে।
17 Now, when they beheld, they made known concerning the thing which had been told them as to this child.
১৭এইদৰে দেখাৰ পাছত শিশুটিৰ বিষয়ে তেওঁলোকক যি যি কথা দূতে কৈছিল, সেই সকলো কথা তেওঁলোকে লোক সকলক জনালে।
18 And, all who heard, marvelled concerning the things which had been told by the shepherds unto them;
১৮তাতে মেষৰখীয়া সকলৰ কথা শুনি সকলোৱে বিস্ময় মানিলে।
19 but, Mary, was closely observing, all, these things, putting them together in her heart.
১৯কিন্তু মৰিয়মে হলে সেইবোৰ কথা মনতে সাঁচি থলে আৰু সেই বিষয়ে চিন্তা কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
20 And the shepherds returned, giving glory and singing praise unto God, over all things which they had heard and seen, according as it had been told unto them.
২০ইয়াৰ পাছত মেষৰখীয়াবোৰে তেওঁলোকক যি দৰে কোৱা হৈছিল, সেই অনুসাৰে সকলো দেখি আৰু শুনি তেওঁলোকে ঈশ্বৰৰ প্রশংসা স্তুতি কৰি ঘৰলৈ উলটি গ’ল।
21 And, when eight days were fulfilled for circumcising him, then was his name called, Jesus, —which it was called by the messenger, before he was conceived in the womb.
২১পাছে আঠ দিনৰ পাছত, যেতিয়া তেওঁৰ চুন্নৎ কৰিবৰ সময় হ’ল, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে শিশুটিৰ নাম যীচু ৰাখিলে; তেওঁ মাতৃগর্ভত স্থিতি হোৱাৰ আগেয়ে স্বর্গৰ দূতে এই নাম দিছিল।
22 And, when the days of their purification, according to the law of Moses, were fulfilled, they took him up into Jerusalem, to present [him] unto the Lord, —
২২মোচিৰ বিধান অনুসাৰে শুচিকৰণৰ দিন উপস্থিত হোৱাত যোচেফ আৰু মৰিয়মে শিশু যীচুক প্রভুৰ ওচৰত উপস্থিত কৰিবৰ কাৰণে তেওঁলোক যিৰূচালেমত থকা মন্দিৰলৈ আনিলে।
23 according as it is written in the law of the Lord—Every male that is a firstborn, Holy unto the Lord, shall be called,
২৩কাৰণ প্রভুৰ বিধান-শাস্ত্ৰত লিখা আছে যে “প্ৰথমে জন্মা প্ৰতিজন পুত্র সন্তানক প্রভুৰ উদ্দেশ্যে ‘পবিত্ৰ’ বুলি কোৱা হব।”
24 and to give a sacrifice, according to that which is said in the law of the Lord—A pair of turtle-doves, or two young pigeons.
২৪আৰু “এযোৰ কপৌ বা দুটা পাৰ পোৱালি” বলিদান কৰাৰ কথা যি দৰে প্রভুৰ বিধান-শাস্ত্ৰত লিখা আছে, তাক উৎসর্গ কৰিবলৈকো তেওঁলোক যিৰূচালেমলৈ আহিল।
25 And lo! there was, a man, in Jerusalem, whose name, was Symeon; and, this man, was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and Holy Spirit was upon him;
২৫তেতিয়া যিৰূচালেমত চিমিয়োন নামেৰে এজন ধাৰ্মিক আৰু ঈশ্বৰভক্ত লোক আছিল আৰু তেওঁ ইস্ৰায়েলৰ সান্ত্বনাৰ কাৰণে অপেক্ষা কৰি আছিল। পবিত্ৰ আত্মা তেওঁৰ সৈতে আছিল।
26 and it had been intimated to him by the Holy Spirit, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Christ of the Lord.
২৬প্ৰভুৰ অভিষিক্ত জনক দেখা নাপায় মানে, তেওঁ মৃত্যুভোগ নকৰিব, এই কথা পবিত্ৰ আত্মাৰ দ্বাৰাই তেওঁলৈ প্ৰকাশ কৰা হৈছিল।
27 And he came, in the Spirit, into the temple; and, when the parents brought in the child Jesus, that they might do according to that which was customary by the law concerning it,
২৭সেইদিনা পবিত্র আত্মাৰ দ্বাৰা চালিত হৈ চিমিয়োন মন্দিৰলৈ আহিছিল। বিধানৰ বিধান পালন কৰিবলৈ মাক-বাপেকে শিশু যীচুক ভিতৰলৈ আনিলে।
28 even he, welcomed it into his arms, and blessed God, and said—
২৮তেতিয়া চিমিয়োনে যীচুক কোলাত লৈ ঈশ্বৰৰ প্ৰশংসা কৰি ক’লে,
29 Now, dost thou dismiss thy servant, O Sovereign, according to thy declaration—in peace;
২৯“হে প্ৰভু, এতিয়া আপুনি নিজৰ প্রতিশ্রুতি অনুসাৰে আপোনাৰ দাসক শান্তিৰে বিদায় দিয়ক।
30 Because mine eyes have seen thy salvation,
৩০কিয়নো মোৰ চকুৱে আপোনাৰ পৰিত্রাণ দেখা পালে,
31 Which thou hast prepared in face of all the peoples:
৩১যি পৰিত্রাণ আপুনি সকলো লোকৰ সাক্ষাতে প্রস্তুত কৰিলে।
32 A light for the unveiling of nations, and the glory of thy people Israel.
৩২তেওঁ অনা-ইহুদী সকলৰ আগত সত্য প্রকাশ কৰাৰ এক পোহৰ হব আৰু তেৱেঁই আপোনাৰ প্রজা ইস্ৰায়েল লোকৰ গৌৰৱ হব।”
33 And his father and mother were marvelling over the things which were being spoken concerning him.
৩৩শিশুটিৰ বিষয়ে চিমিয়োনে যি সকলো কথা ক’লে, সেই বিষয় শুনি মাক-বাপেক বিস্মিত হৈ গ’ল।
34 And Symeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother—Lo! this one, is being set for the falling and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign to be spoken against;
৩৪তাৰ পাছত চিমিয়োনে তেওঁলোকক আশীৰ্বাদ কৰি যীচুৰ মাক মৰিয়মক ক’লে, “মনোযোগেৰে শুনা! এই শিশুটিয়েই ইস্ৰায়েলৰ মাজত অনেকৰ পতন আৰু উত্থানৰ কাৰণ হব আৰু তেওঁ এনে এক চিন হ’ব যাৰ বিৰুদ্ধে অনেকেই কথা কব;
35 And, thou! through thy very soul, shall pass a sword, that, reasonings, may be revealed, out of many hearts.
৩৫তাতে বহু লোকৰ মনৰ ভাৱনা প্রকাশ হৈ পৰিব আৰু তোমাৰ নিজৰ হৃদয় শূলে বিন্ধিব।”
36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher; —the same, advanced in many days; having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity,
৩৬সেই ঠাইতে হান্না নামৰ এগৰাকী ভাববাদিনী আছিল। তেওঁ আচেৰ ফৈদৰ পনুৱেলৰ জীয়েক। তেওঁৰ অনেক বয়স হৈছিল। বিবাহৰ পাছত তেওঁ স্বামীৰ সৈতে সাত বছৰ থাকিল
37 and, she, had been a widow for as long as eighty-four years, —who left not the temple, with fastings and supplications, rendering divine service night and day; —
৩৭আৰু পাছত চৌৰাশী বছৰ বয়সলৈকে তেওঁ বিধৱাৰ জীৱন কটালে। তেওঁ মন্দিৰ এৰি কলৈকো যোৱা নাছিল; দিনে ৰাতিয়ে উপবাস আৰু প্রার্থনাৰে ঈশ্বৰৰ আৰাধনা কৰিছিল।
38 and, in that very hour, coming near, she began to give thanks unto God, and to speak concerning him unto all who were waiting for the redemption of Jerusalem.
৩৮ঠিক সেই সময়তে, তেওঁ তেওঁলোকৰ ফালে আগবাঢ়ি আহি ঈশ্বৰক ধন্যবাদ দিবলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰিলে আৰু যিৰূচালেমৰ মুক্তিৰ অপেক্ষাত থকা সকলোকে সেই শিশুটিৰ বিষয়ে ক’বলৈ ধৰিলে।
39 And, when they had finished all things that were according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, into their own city, Nazareth.
৩৯প্ৰভুৰ বিধানৰ মতে কৰিবলগীয়া সকলো নিয়ম সম্পূর্ণ কৰি যোচেফ আৰু মৰিয়ম নিজৰ নগৰ গালীল প্ৰদেশৰ নাচৰতলৈ উলটি আহিল।
40 And, the child, went on growing, and waxing strong, becoming filled with wisdom; and, the favour of God, was upon it.
৪০পাছে শিশুটি ক্রমে ক্রমে বৃদ্ধি পাই শক্তিমান হব ধৰিলে আৰু জ্ঞানেৰেও পূর্ণ হব ধৰিলে; ঈশ্বৰৰ অনুগ্ৰহ তেওঁৰ ওপৰত আছিল।
41 And his parents used to journey yearly into Jerusalem, at the feast of the passover.
৪১নিস্তাৰ-পৰ্ব পালন কৰিবলৈ প্রত্যেক বছৰে যীচুৰ মাক আৰু বাপেক যিৰূচালেমলৈ যায়।
42 And, when he became twelve years, and they went up, according to the custom of the feast,
৪২যীচুৰ বয়স যেতিয়া বাৰ বছৰ, তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকে যথা ৰীতি মতে সেই পর্বলৈ গৈছিল।
43 and completed the days, and then were returning, the boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem, —and his parents noticed it not;
৪৩পর্বৰ সকলো ৰীতি শেষ কৰি তেওঁলোক যেতিয়া ঘৰলৈ উলটি আহিছিল, তেতিয়া ল’ৰা যীচু যিৰূচালেমতে ৰৈ গ’ল; কিন্তু তেওঁৰ মাক-বাপেকে এই কথা জনা নাছিল।
44 but, supposing him to be in the company, went a day’s journey, and then began to seek for him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances,
৪৪তেওঁলোকৰ সৈতে যাত্রা কৰা দলৰ লগতে যীচু আছে বুলি ভাবি, তেওঁলোক এদিনৰ বাট গ’ল। পাছত তেওঁলোকে আত্মীয়-স্বজন আৰু বন্ধু-বান্ধৱৰ মাজত তেওঁক বিচাৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে।
45 and, not finding him, returned unto Jerusalem, seeking him.
৪৫কিন্তু মানুহৰ মাজত বিচাৰি নাপায় যিৰূচালেমলৈ পুণৰ ঘূৰি আহি তেওঁলোকে যীচুক তাত বিচাৰি ফুৰিব ধৰিলে।
46 And it came to pass, that, after three days, they found him in the temple, sitting amidst the teachers, —both hearkening unto them, and questioning them.
৪৬তিনি দিনৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকে যীচুক মন্দিৰত পালে। তেওঁ অধ্যাপক সকলৰ মাজত বহি তেওঁলোকৰ কথা শুনি আছিল আৰু নানা প্ৰশ্ন সুধি আছিল।
47 Now all who heard him were beside themselves, because of his understanding and his answers.
৪৭আৰু যি সকলে তেওঁৰ কথা শুনিলে, তেওঁলোক সকলোৱে তেওঁৰ বুদ্ধি আৰু উত্তৰত বিস্ময় মানিলে।
48 And, when they behold him, they were astounded, and his mother said unto him—Child! why, hast thou dealt with us, thus? Lo! thy father and I, in anguish, were seeking thee.
৪৮মাক-বাপেকেও তেওঁক দেখি আচৰিত হ’ল৷ মাকে তেওঁক ক’লে, “বোপা, তুমি আমালৈ কিয় এইদৰে কৰিলা? তোমাৰ দেউতাৰা আৰু মই তোমাক বিচাৰি হাবাথুৰি খাই ফুৰিছোঁ।”
49 And he said unto them—Why was it that ye were seeking me? Perceived ye not, that, in the courts of my Father, I must needs be?
৪৯তেতিয়া তেওঁলোকক তেওঁ ক’লে, “তোমালোকে কি কাৰণে মোক বিচাৰি ফুৰিছা? মই মোৰ পিতৃৰ ঘৰত থকা যে উচিত, ইয়াক জানো তোমালোকে নাজানা?”
50 And, they, understood not the thing which he spake to them.
৫০কিন্তু তেওঁ কি কথা কব বিচাৰিছিল, সেই কথাৰ অৰ্থ তেওঁলোকে বুজি নাপালে।
51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was submitting himself unto them. And, his mother, was closely observing all these things in her heart.
৫১তাৰ পাছত তেওঁলোকৰ লগত তেওঁ নাচৰতলৈ উভটি গ’ল আৰু তেওঁলোকৰ বাধ্য হৈ থাকিল। তেওঁৰ মাকে এই সকলো কথা মনত ৰাখিলে।
52 And, Jesus, went on advancing in wisdom, and in stature, and in favour with God and men.
৫২কিন্তু এইদৰে যীচু জ্ঞান আৰু বয়সত বৃদ্ধি পাব ধৰিলে; আৰু ঈশ্বৰৰ অনুগ্ৰহ সৈতে, মানুহৰ প্রেমত অধিককৈ বাঢ়ি যাব ধৰিলে।
