Isaiah 49
1 Hearken, ye Coastlands, unto me, And give ear ye peoples afar off, —Yahweh, called me, from my birth, From my nativity, made he mention of my name;
೧ದ್ವೀಪನಿವಾಸಿಗಳೇ, ನನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕಿವಿಗೊಡಿರಿ, ದೂರದ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳೇ, ಆಲಿಸಿರಿ! ನಾನು ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗಲೇ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರೆದನು, ತಾಯಿಯ ಉದರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಂದಿನಿಂದಲೂ ನನ್ನ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
2 And he made my mouth, like a sharp sword, In the shadow of his hand, he concealed me, —And made of me a polished arrow, In his quiver, he hid me;
೨ನನ್ನ ಬಾಯಿಯನ್ನು ಹದವಾದ ಖಡ್ಗವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ, ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯ ನೆರಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುದುಗಿಸಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಚೂಪಾದ ಬಾಣವನ್ನಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿ, ತನ್ನ ಬತ್ತಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
3 And said to me My Servant, thou art, —Israel, in whom I will get myself glory.
೩ಆತನು ನನಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನೂ, ನಾನು ಪ್ರಭಾವಹೊಂದಬೇಕಾದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
4 But I, said, To no purpose, have I toiled, For waste and mist—my vigour, have I spent, —Surely, my vindication, is, with, Yahweh, And, my recompence, with my God.
೪ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು, “ನಾನು ಪಡುವ ಪ್ರಯಾಸವು ವ್ಯರ್ಥ, ನನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಉಪಯೋಗಮಾಡಿದ್ದು ಹಾಳೇ, ಬರಿ ಗಾಳಿಯೇ. ಆದರೂ ನನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ನನಗೆ ಲಾಭವು ನನ್ನ ದೇವರಿಂದಲೇ ಆಗುವುದು” ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಂಡೆನು.
5 Now, therefore, said Yahweh—Fashioning me from birth To be Servant to him, To restore Jacob unto him, And that, Israel, unto him, might be gathered And I be honourable in the eyes of Yahweh, And, my God, be proved to have been my strength,
೫ಆಹಾ, ನಾನು ಯೆಹೋವನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾನ್ಯನು, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರೇ ನನಗೆ ಬಲವು. ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯರನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ತನ್ನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಕೂಡಿಬರಬೇಕೆಂತಲೂ ಆತನು ಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನನ್ನಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಿದನಲ್ಲವೆ.
6 Yea he said—It is too small a thing, for being my Servant, That thou shouldest raise up the tribes of Jacob, And the preserved of Israel, shouldst restore, —So I will give thee to become a light of nations, That, my salvation, may reach as far as the end of the earth.
೬ಆತನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸೇವಕನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕಾದವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾಕೋಬಿನ ಕುಲಗಳನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತಪಡಿಸುವುದೂ, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ರಕ್ಷಿತರಾದವರನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ಬರಮಾಡುವುದೂ ಅಲ್ಪ ಕಾರ್ಯವೇ ಸರಿ. ನನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯು ಲೋಕದ ಕಟ್ಟಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೆ ವ್ಯಾಪಿಸುವಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕನ್ನಾಗಿ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುವೆನು.”
7 Thus, saith Yahweh—the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One To him that is despised of the soul, To the abhorred of the nation To the servant of rulers, Kings, shall see and arise, Princes, lo! they have bowed themselves down, —Because of Yahweh, who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel, lo! he hath chosen thee.
೭ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವನೂ, ಅನ್ಯಜನಾಂಗಕ್ಕೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯನೂ, ಜನದೊಡೆಯರ ಸೇವಕನೂ ಆದವನಿಗೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ವಿಮೋಚಕನೂ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಯೆಹೋವನ ಪ್ರಾಮಾಣಿಕತೆಯನ್ನೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸದಮಲಸ್ವಾಮಿಯು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಪರಿಗ್ರಹಿಸಿರುವುದನ್ನೂ ಅರಸರು ನೋಡಿ ಎದ್ದು ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು, ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ಅಡ್ಡಬೀಳುವರು.”
8 Thus, saith Yahweh—In a time of acceptance, have I answered thee, In a day of salvation, have I helped thee, —That I may preserve thee And give thee as the covenant of a people, To establish the land, To bring into possession the desolate heritages;
೮ಇದೇ ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ, “ಈ ಪ್ರಸನ್ನತೆಯ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಸದುತ್ತರವನ್ನು ದಯಪಾಲಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಈ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಯ ದಿನದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುತ್ತಾ ನನ್ನ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಆಧಾರವನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ.
9 Saying To them who are bound Go forth, To them who are in darkness, Shew yourselves, —By the roads, shall they graze, And on all bare places, shall be their pasture:
೯ನೀನು ಬಂದಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವರಿಗೆ ‘ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು, ಕತ್ತಲಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ, ‘ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ ಹೊರಡಿರಿ’ ಎಂದು ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹಾಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ವತ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಂಚಿ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಉನ್ನತ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಗೆ ತರುವೆನು. ನನ್ನ ಜನವೆಂಬ ಹಿಂಡು ದಾರಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮೇಯುವುದು. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಬೋಳುಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳೂ ಕೂಡ ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲಾಗುವವು.
10 They shall neither hunger, nor thirst, Nor shall smite them the glowing sand, or the glaring sun, —For, he that hath compassion upon them, will lead them, And unto springs of water, will he conduct them.
೧೦ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹಸಿವೆ ಬಾಯಾರಿಕೆಗಳು ಆಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಝಳವೂ ಬಿಸಿಲೂ ಬಡಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವಾತನು ದಾರಿತೋರಿಸುತ್ತಾ ನೀರು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವ ಒರತೆಗಳ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಸುವನು.
11 Then will I make of all my mountains, a road, And my highways, shall be upraised.
೧೧ನನ್ನ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮದಾರಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನನ್ನ ರಾಜಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಎತ್ತರಿಸುವೆನು.
12 Lo! these, from afar, shall come in, —And lo! these, from the North and from the West, And these, from the land of Sinim.
೧೨ಇಗೋ, ಇವರು ದೂರದಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಇಗೋ, ಇವರು ಬಡಗಲಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಪಡವಲಿಂದ, ಇವರು ಸೀನೀಮ್ ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
13 Shout in triumph—O heavens! And exult—O earth! And break forth, ye mountains, into shouts of triumph, —For Yahweh hath comforted his people, And on his humbled ones, taketh he compassion.
೧೩ಆಕಾಶವೇ, ಹರ್ಷಧ್ವನಿಗೈ! ಭೂಮಿಯೇ, ಉಲ್ಲಾಸಗೊಳ್ಳು! ಪರ್ವತಗಳೇ, ಹರ್ಷಧ್ವನಿಗೈಯಿರಿ! ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಯನ್ನು ಸಂತೈಸಿ, ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದ ತನ್ನ ಜನರನ್ನು ಕರುಣಿಸುವನು.”
14 But Zion had said. Yahweh hath forsaken me, —Even, My Lord, hath forgotten me!
೧೪ಚೀಯೋನ್ ನಗರಿಯಾದರೋ, “ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ, ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆತಿದ್ದಾನೆ” ಎಂದುಕೊಂಡಳು.
15 Can, a woman, forget, her sucking child, Past taking compassion on the son of her womb? Even these, may forget, Yet will, I, not forget, thee:
೧೫ಒಬ್ಬ ಹೆಂಗಸು ತಾನು ಹೆತ್ತ ಮಗುವಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರುಣೆಯಿಡದೆ ತನ್ನ ಮೊಲೆಕೂಸನ್ನು ಮರೆತಾಳೇ? ಒಂದು ವೇಳೆ ಮರೆತರು ಮರೆತಾಳು, ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
16 Lo! on the palms of my hands, have I portrayed thee, —Thy walls are before me continually.
೧೬ಇಗೋ, ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ಪೌಳಿಗೋಡೆಗಳು ಸದಾ ನನ್ನ ಕಣ್ಣೆದುರಿನಲ್ಲಿವೆ.
17 In haste are thy sons, —They who have been tearing thee down and laying thee waste, out of thee, let them go forth!
೧೭ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತ್ವರೆಪಟ್ಟು ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿ ಹಾಳುಮಾಡಿದವರು ನಿನ್ನೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾರೆ.
18 Lift up, round about, thine eyes and see, All those, have gathered themselves together—have come to thee! As I live, Declareth Yahweh, —Surely all those as an ornament, shalt thou put on, And bind them about thee for a girdle as a bride.
೧೮ಕಣ್ಣೆತ್ತಿ ಸುತ್ತಲು ನೋಡು! ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಕೂಡಿಕೊಂಡು ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ನೀನು ಇವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಆಭರಣವನ್ನಾಗಿ ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ, ವಧುವು ಒಡ್ಯಾಣವನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನೀನು ಇವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಎದೆಗೆ ಒರಗಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.
19 Surely, as for thy wastes, and thy desolations, and thy land of ruins, Surely, now, shalt thou be too strait for thine inhabitants, And, far off, shall be they who have been swallowing thee up.
೧೯ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಳು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳು, ನಿನ್ನ ಬೀಳು ಭೂಮಿಯು, ಕೆಟ್ಟುಹೋದ ನಿನ್ನ ಸೀಮೆಯು ಇವುಗಳಿಗೆ ಏನಾಗುವುದೆಂದು ನೋಡುವಿ. ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿದವರು ದೂರವಾಗುವರು, ನಿನ್ನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀನು ಸಂಕೋಚಸ್ಥಳವಾಗುವಿ.
20 The children of whom thou wast bereaved shall yet say in thine ears, —Too strait for me, is the place Make room for me that I may settle down.
೨೦ಸಂತಾನವನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡವಳಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳು, ‘ಸ್ಥಳವು ನನಗೆ ಸಂಕೋಚ, ನಾನು ವಾಸಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ಥಳವಾಗುವಂತೆ ಸರಿದುಕೋ’ ಎಂದು ಆಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಾತು ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಿವಿಗೆ ಬೀಳುವುದು.
21 Then shalt thou say in thy heart, —Who hath borne me, these, Seeing, I, have been bereaved and unfruitful, a captive and banished? These, therefore, who hath brought them up? Lo! I, was left, alone, These, where were they?
೨೧ಆಗ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮನದೊಳಗೆ, ‘ನನಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಇವರನ್ನು ಯಾರು ಹೆತ್ತರು? ನಾನೋ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡವಳು, ಪುತ್ರಹೀನಳು, ದೇಶಭ್ರಷ್ಟಳು, ತಿರುಕಳು. ಇವರನ್ನು ಸಾಕಿದವರು ಯಾರು? ಆಹಾ, ನಾನು ಒಂಟಿಯಾಗಿ ಉಳಿದಿದ್ದೆನಲ್ಲಾ, ಇವರೆಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು?’” ಎಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.
22 Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh—Lo! I will lift up, unto nations my hand, Yea unto peoples, will I raise high my banner, —And they shall bring in thy sons in their bosom, And, thy daughters, on the shoulder shall be borne;
೨೨ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಇಗೋ, ನಾನು ಜನಾಂಗಗಳಿಗೆ ಕೈಸನ್ನೆಮಾಡಿ ದೇಶಾಂತರಗಳಿಗೆ ನನ್ನ ಧ್ವಜವನ್ನು ಎತ್ತುವೆನು. ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರರನ್ನು ಎದೆಗಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವರು. ನಿನ್ನ ಕುಮಾರ್ತೆಯರನ್ನು ಹೆಗಲ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರೆದುತರುವರು.
23 And, kings, shall be, thy foster-fathers. And their queens, thy nursing mothers, With face to the ground, shall they bow down to thee, The dust of thy feet, shall they lick, —So shalt thou know that, I, am Yahweh, In that, they shall not be put to shame, Who were waiting for me.
೨೩ರಾಜರು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಕುತಂದೆಗಳು, ಅವರ ರಾಣಿಯರು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಕುತಾಯಿಯರು ಆಗುವರು. ನಿನಗೆ ಸಾಷ್ಟಾಂಗವಾಗಿ ಅಡ್ಡಬಿದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾದಧೂಳನ್ನು ನೆಕ್ಕುವರು. ನಾನೇ ಯೆಹೋವನು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಆಶಾಭಂಗಪಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ನಿನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು.
24 Shall prey, be taken from a mighty one? Or the captive of one in the right, be delivered?
೨೪ಶೂರನಿಂದ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೋ? ಭಯಂಕರನಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾದವರನ್ನು ಬಿಡಿಸಬಹುದೋ?
25 Surely, thus, saith Yahweh—Even the captive of the mighty one, shall be taken away, And the prey of the tyrant, be delivered; And thine opposers, I, will oppose, And thy children, I, will save;
೨೫ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ಶೂರನ ಸೆರೆಯವರೂ ಅಪಹರಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು. ಭಯಂಕರನ ಕೊಳ್ಳೆಯೂ ತೆಗೆಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದು. ನಿನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಹೋರಾಡುವವನ ಸಂಗಡ ನಾನೇ ಹೋರಾಡಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ಧರಿಸುವೆನು.
26 Then will I feed thy tormentors with their own flesh, And as with new wine—with their own blood, shall they be drunk, —So shall all flesh, know, that, I—Yahweh, am thy Saviour, And, thy Redeemer, is the Mighty One of Jacob.
೨೬ನಿನ್ನ ಹಿಂಸಕರು ತಮ್ಮ ಮಾಂಸವನ್ನೇ ತಿನ್ನುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವೆನು, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿಯುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರು ಸ್ವಂತ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಕುಡಿದು ಅಮಲೇರುವರು. ಆಗ ಯೆಹೋವನಾದ ನಾನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ರಕ್ಷಕನು, ನಿನ್ನ ವಿಮೋಚಕನು, ಯಾಕೋಬ್ಯರ ಶೂರನು” ಎಂದು ನರಜನ್ಮದವರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗುವುದು.
