Genesis 46
1 So Israel brake up, with all that he had, and came in to Beer-sheba, —and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac.
Israel for dit med allt det honom tillhörde. Och då han kom till BerSaba, offrade han ett offer sins faders Isaacs Gudi.
2 And God said to Israel in the visions of the night, and he said—Jacob! Jacob! And he said—Behold me!
Och Gud sade till honom om nattena i ene syn: Jacob, Jacob. Han sade: Här är jag.
3 And he said: I, am GOD himself, the God of thy father, —Be not afraid of going down to Egypt, seeing that for a great nation, will I plant thee there.
Och han sade: Jag är Gud, dins faders Gud, frukta dig icke att fara in i Egypten; förty, der vill jag göra dig till ett mägtigt folk.
4 I will go down with thee to Egypt, and I will bring thee up, yea wholly up, —and, Joseph, shall lay his own hand upon thine eyes.
Jag vill fara dit med dig, och vill åter föra dig derut. Och Joseph skall lägga sina hand uppå din ögon.
5 So Jacob rose up from Beer-sheba, —and the sons of Israel brought Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the waggons which Pharaoh had sent to bring him;
Då for Jacob ifrå BerSaba. Och Israels barn förde Jacob sin fader, med sin barn och hustrur, på vagnomen, som Pharao hade sändt till att föra dem med.
6 and they took their cattle and the gains which they had gained in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, —Jacob and all his seed with him:
Och togo sin boskap och håfvor, som de förvärfvat hade i Canaans lande, och kommo så in uti Egypten, Jacob och all hans säd med honom:
7 his sons, and his sons’ sons with him, his daughters, and his sons’ daughters, and all his seed, brought he with him into Egypt.
Hans barn och hans barnabarn med honom, hans döttrar, och hans barns döttrar, och all hans säd.
8 Now, these, are the names of the sons of Israel who came into Egypt—Jacob and his sons, —the firstborn of Jacob, Reuben:
Desse äro Israels barns namn, de som kommo i Egypten: Jacob och hans söner. Jacobs förstfödde son Ruben.
9 And, the sons of Reuben, —Hanoch and Pallu, and Hezron and Carmi;
Rubens barn: Hanoch, Pallu, Hezron och Charmi.
10 And, the sons of Simeon, —Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar, —and Shaul, son of the Canaanitess;
Simeons barn: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, och Saul den Cananeiske qvinnones son.
11 And the sons of Levi, —Gershon, Kohath and Merari;
Levi barn: Gerson, Kehat och Merari.
12 And the sons of Judah, —Er and Onan and Shelah, and Perez and Zerah, —but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan, and the sons of Perez were Hezron and Hamul;
Juda barn: Er, Onan, Sela, Perez och Serah. Men Er och Onan dödde i Canaans lande. Men Perez barn: Hezron och Hamul.
13 And, the sons of Issachar, —Tola and Puvah, and Iob and Shimron;
Isaschars barn: Thola, Phuva, Job och Simron.
14 And the sons of Zebulon, —Sered and Elon, and Jahleel.
Sebulons barn: Sered, Elon och Jahleel.
15 These, are the sons of Leah whom she bare to Jacob in Padan-aram, with Dinah also his daughter, —All the souls of his sons and of his daughters, were thirty-three.
Desse äro barnen af Lea, som hon födde Jacob i Mesopotamien, med sine dotter Dina: De göra tillhopa alle, med söner och döttrar, tre och tretio själar.
16 And, the sons of Gad, —Zaphon and Haggi, Shuni and Ezbon, —Eri and Arodi and Areli;
Gads barn: Ziphion, Haggi, Suni, Ezbon, Eri, Arodi och Areli.
17 And, the sons of Asher, —Imnah and Ishvah and Ishvi and Beriah, and Serah their sister, —and the sons of Beriah, Heber and Malchiel.
Assers barn: Jimna, Jisua, Jisui, Brya; och Serah, deras syster. Men Bryas barn: Heber och Malchiel.
18 These, are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, —so she bare these to Jacob, —sixteen souls.
Desse äro Silpas barn, som Laban gaf Lea sine dotter, och födde Jacob dessa sexton själar.
19 The sons of Rachel, Jacob’s wife, —Joseph and Benjamin;
Rachels Jacobs hustrus barn: Joseph och BenJamin.
20 And there were born to Joseph in the land of Egypt, whom Asenath daughter of Poti-phera, priest of On, bare to him: Manasseh and Ephraim;
Och Joseph vordo födde i Egypten, Manasse och Ephraim, som honom födde Asnath Potiphera dotter Prestens i On.
21 And the sons of Benjamin—Bela and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera and Naaman, Ehi and Rosh, —Muppim and Huppim, and Ard.
BenJamins barn: Bela, Becher, Asbel, Gera, Naaman, Ehi, Ros, Muppim, Huppim och Ard.
22 These, are the sons of Rachel, who were born to Jacob, —all the souls, were fourteen.
Desse äro barnen af Rachel, som Jacob födde äro; alle tillhopa fjorton själar.
23 And, the sons of Dan, —Hushim;
Dans barn: Husim.
24 And the sons of Naphtali, —Jahzeel and Guni, and Jezer and Shillem.
Naphthali barn: Jahzeel, Guni, Jezer och Sillem.
25 These, are the sons of Bilhah, whom Laban gave to Rachel his daughter, —so she bare these to Jacob, —all the souls, were seven.
Desse äro Bilhas barn, som Laban hade gifvit sine dotter Rachel, och födde Jacob dessa sju själar.
26 All the souls that came in with Jacob to Egypt that had come forth of his loins, besides Jacob’s sons’ wives, —all the souls, were sixty-six;
Alla själar som kommo med Jacob in i Egypten, som utgångne voro af hans länd, undantagande hans barnahustrur, äro alle tillsamman sex och sextio själar.
27 and, the sons of Joseph who were born to him in Egypt, were two souls: All the souls of the house of Jacob that came into Egypt, were seventy.
Och Josephs barn, som honom vordo födde i Egypten, voro två själar: Så att alla Jacobs hus själar, som kommo in i Egypten, voro sjutio.
28 And he sent, Judah, before him unto Joseph, to direct his face to Goshen, —so they came in towards the land of Goshen.
Och han sände Juda för sig till Joseph, att han skulle visa honom vägen till Gosen; och de kommo in i landet Gosen.
29 Then yoked Joseph his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father towards Goshen, —and he appeared unto him, and fell upon his neck, and wept upon his neck a good while.
Då spände Joseph före sin vagn, och for ut emot Israel sin fader till Gosen. Och då han fick se honom, föll han om hans hals, och gret svårliga på hans hals.
30 Then said Israel unto Joseph I am ready to die at last, —now that I have seen thy face, in that thou art, yet alive.
Då sade Israel till Joseph: Nu vill jag gerna dö, efter det jag hafver sett ditt ansigte, att du ännu lefver.
31 Then said Joseph unto his brethren and unto the house of his father, I must go up, and must tell Pharaoh—and must say unto him, My brethren, and the house of my father, who were in the land of Canaan, have come in unto me.
Joseph sade till sina bröder och sin faders hus: Jag vill fara upp, och undervisa der Pharao, och säga till honom: Mine broder och mins faders hus är kommit till mig utaf Canaans land;
32 Now, the men, are feeders of flocks, for men of cattle, they are, —and their flocks and their herds and all that they have, have they brought in.
Och äro herdar, ty det är sådana folk, som med boskap umgå plägar; deras får och fä, och allt det de hafva, hafva de fört med sig.
33 So shall it come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call for you, —and shall say—What is your occupation?
Då nu Pharao varder eder kallandes, och säger: Hvad är edar handel?
34 Then shall ye say—Men of cattle, have thy servants been from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers, —To the end ye may dwell in the land of Goshen, for an abomination to Egyptians, is every feeder of a flock,
Så skolen I säga: Dine tjenare äro folk, som med boskap umgå ifrå vår barndom allt härtill, både vi och våre fäder, på det I må få bo i det landet Gosen; förty alle herdar äro såsom en styggelse för de Egyptier.
