Psalms 92
1 A Psalm, a Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
安息日の歌、さんび いと高き者よ、主に感謝し、み名をほめたたえるのは、よいことです。
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,
あしたに、あなたのいつくしみをあらわし、夜な夜な、あなたのまことをあらわすために、
3 With an instrument of ten strings, and with the psaltery; with a solemn sound upon the harp.
十弦の楽器と立琴を用い、琴のたえなる調べを用いるのは、よいことです。
4 For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands.
主よ、あなたはみわざをもってわたしを楽しませられました。わたしはあなたのみ手のわざを喜び歌います。
5 How great are thy works, O LORD! thy thoughts are very deep.
主よ、あなたのみわざはいかに大いなることでしょう。あなたのもろもろの思いは、いとも深く、
6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth a fool understand this:
鈍い者は知ることができず、愚かな者はこれを悟ることができません。
7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed for ever:
たとい、悪しき者は草のようにもえいで、不義を行う者はことごとく栄えても、彼らはとこしえに滅びに定められているのです。
8 But thou, O LORD, art on high for evermore.
しかし、主よ、あなたはとこしえに高き所にいらせられます。
9 For, lo, thine enemies, O LORD, for, lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
主よ、あなたの敵、あなたの敵は滅び、不義を行う者はことごとく散らされるでしょう。
10 But my horn hast thou exalted like [the horn of] the wild-ox: I am anointed with fresh oil.
しかし、あなたはわたしの角を野牛の角のように高くあげ、新しい油をわたしに注がれました。
11 Mine eye also hath seen [my desire] on mine enemies, mine ears have heard [my desire] of the evil-doers that rise up against me.
わたしの目はわが敵の没落を見、わたしの耳はわたしを攻める悪者どもの破滅を聞きました。
12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
正しい者はなつめやしの木のように栄え、レバノンの香柏のように育ちます。
13 They that are planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
彼らは主の家に植えられ、われらの神の大庭に栄えます。
14 They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap and green:
彼らは年老いてなお実を結び、いつも生気に満ち、青々として、
15 To shew that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
主の正しいことを示すでしょう。主はわが岩です。主には少しの不義もありません。
