Psalms 60

1 For the Chief Musician; set to Shushan Eduth: Michtam of David, to teach: when he strove with Aram-naharaim and with Aram-zobah, and Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the Valley of Salt twelve thousand. O God, thou hast cast us off, thou hast broken us down; thou hast been angry; O restore us again.

੧ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਵਜਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ। ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨੇਦੂਤ ਦੇ ਰਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਮਿਕਤਾਮ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਰਮ ਨਹਰੈਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਮ ਸੋਬਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਆਬ ਨੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜ ਕੇ ਲੂਣ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਦੋਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ ਹੈ, ਤੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਬਹਾਲ ਕਰ!

2 Thou hast made the land to tremble; thou hast rent it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.

੨ਤੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਬਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਤੇੜਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਡੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ!

3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of staggering.

੩ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਡਾਢੇ ਕਲੇਸ਼ ਵਿਖਾਏ ਹਨ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਡੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਮਧ ਪਿਆਈ ਹੈ।

4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)

੪ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਝੰਡਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ। ਸਲਹ।

5 That thy beloved may be delivered, save with thy right hand, and answer us.

੫ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਛੁਡਾਏ ਜਾਣ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ!

6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will exult: I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.

੬ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਨਾਵਾਂਗਾ, ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ਕਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੰਡ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਕੋਥ ਦੀ ਘਾਟੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਣਾਂਗਾ।

7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the defence of mine head; Judah is my sceptre.

੭ਗਿਲਆਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਿਰ ਦਾ ਟੋਪ ਹੈ, ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਰਾਜ ਡੰਡਾ ਹੈ,

8 Moab is my washpot; upon Edom will I cast my shoe: Philistia, shout thou because of me.

੮ਮੋਆਬ ਮੇਰੀ ਚਿਲਮਚੀ ਹੈ, ਅਦੋਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਪੌਲਾ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ, ਹੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਰਾ ਮਾਰ!

9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who hath led me unto Edom?

੯ਕੌਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਫ਼ੀਲਦਾਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ? ਕੌਣ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇਸ ਤੱਕ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇਗਾ?

10 Hast not thou, O God, cast us off? and thou goest not forth, O God, with our hosts.

੧੦ਭਲਾ, ਤੂੰ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੀਆਂ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ?

11 Give us help against the adversary: for vain is the help of man.

੧੧ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਆਦਮੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਚਾਓ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੈ।

12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our adversaries.

੧੨ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੂਰਮਗਤੀ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ, ਉਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਤਾੜ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ!
