Psalms 125

1 A Song of Ascents. They that trust in the LORD are as mount Zion, which cannot be moved, but abideth for ever.

੧ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਦਾ ਗੀਤ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਕਦੇ ਡੋਲਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਅਟੱਲ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ!

2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people, from this time forth and for evermore.

੨ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਰਬਤ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਹਨ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਹੈ, ਹੁਣ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਕਾਲ ਤੱਕ ਹੈ।

3 For the sceptre of wickedness shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; that the righteous put not forth their hands unto iniquity.

੩ਦੁਸ਼ਟਾਂ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ-ਡੰਡ ਧਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਣਿਆ ਨਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਧਰਮੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਬਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਵਧਾਉਣ।

4 Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

੪ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਭਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਕਰ, ਅਤੇ ਸਿੱਧੇ ਮਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਵੀ।

5 But as for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.

੫ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਠੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਭਟਕ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਕਰਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਵੇਗਾ! ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਸਲਾਮਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
