Psalms 12

1 For the Chief Musician; set to the Sheminith. A Psalm of David. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

೧ಪ್ರಧಾನಗಾಯಕನ ಕೀರ್ತನ ಸಂಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡದ್ದು; ಮಂದರಸ್ಥಾಯಿಯೊಡನೆ ಹಾಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು; ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ರಕ್ಷಿಸು; ಭಕ್ತರು ಮುಗಿದು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ನಂಬಿಗಸ್ತರನ್ನು ಕಾಣುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lip, and with a double heart, do they speak.

೨ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ನೆರೆಯವರೊಡನೆ ಸುಳ್ಳನ್ನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಅವರು ವಂಚನೆಯ ತುಟಿಗಳಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೊಂದು ಒಳಗೊಂದು ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ.

3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that speaketh great things:

೩ಯೆಹೋವನು ವಂಚನೆಯ ತುಟಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಬಡಾಯಿ ನಾಲಿಗೆಯನ್ನೂ ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡಲಿ.

4 Who have said, with our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

೪ಅವರು, “ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಗೆ ತಡೆಯಿಲ್ಲವಲ್ಲಾ; ನಮ್ಮ ತುಟಿಗಳು ನಮ್ಮವೇ; ನಮಗೆ ಒಡೆಯನು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರಲ್ಲಾ.

5 For the spoiling of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety at whom they puff.

೫ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ಕುಗ್ಗಿದವರ ಬಾಧೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಗತಿಯಿಲ್ಲದವರ ನರಳುವಿಕೆಯು ನನಗೆ ಕೇಳಿಸಿತು. ಈಗ ಎದ್ದು ಬಂದು ಅವರ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವೆನು. ಅವರು ಬಯಸಿದಂತೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ಇರಿಸುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.

6 The words of the LORD are pure words; as silver tried in a furnace on the earth, purified seven times.

೬ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾದವುಗಳೇ; ಅವು ಏಳು ಸಾರಿ ಪುಟಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ಚೊಕ್ಕ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯೋಪಾದಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

೭ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲೂ ನೀಚರೇ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದರೂ, ಜನರೊಳಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವ ಆಳ್ವಿಕೆಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದರೂ,

8 The wicked walk on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

೮ಯೆಹೋವನೇ, ನೀನು ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದಿ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟರಿಂದ ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಕಾಪಾಡುವಿ.
