Leviticus 26
1 Ye shall make you no idols, neither shall ye rear you up a graven image, or a pillar, neither shall ye place any figured stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.
No haréis para vosotros ídolos, ni escultura, ni os levantaréis título, ni pondréis en vuestra tierra piedra pintada para inclinaros a ella; porque yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios.
2 Ye shall keep my sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
Guardad mis sábados, y tened en reverencia mi santuario: Yo soy el SEÑOR.
3 If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
Si anduviereis en mis decretos, y guardareis mis mandamientos, y los pusiereis por obra;
4 then I will give your rains in their season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
yo daré vuestra lluvia en su tiempo, y la tierra dará su fruto, y el árbol del campo dará su fruto;
5 And your threshing shall reach unto the vintage, and the vintage shall reach unto the sowing time: and ye shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
y la trilla os alcanzará a la vendimia, y la vendimia alcanzará a la sementera, y comeréis vuestro pan hasta saciaros y habitaréis seguros en vuestra tierra.
6 And I will give peace in the land, and ye shall lie down, and none shall make you afraid: and I will cause evil beasts to cease out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
Porque yo daré paz en la tierra, y dormiréis, y no habrá quien os espante; y haré quitar las malas bestias de vuestra tierra, y por vuestra tierra no pasará cuchillo.
7 And ye shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
Y perseguiréis a vuestros enemigos, y delante de vosotros caerán a cuchillo.
8 And five of you shall chase an hundred, and an hundred of you shall chase ten thousand: and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
Y cinco de vosotros perseguirán a cien, y cien de vosotros perseguirán a diez mil, y vuestros enemigos caerán a cuchillo delante de vosotros.
9 And I will have respect unto you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you; and will establish my covenant with you.
Porque yo me volveré a vosotros, y os haré crecer, y os multiplicaré, y afirmaré mi pacto con vosotros.
10 And ye shall eat old store long kept, and ye shall bring forth the old because of the new.
Y comeréis lo añejo de mucho tiempo, y sacaréis fuera lo añejo a causa de lo nuevo.
11 And I will set my tabernacle among you: and my soul shall not abhor you.
Y pondré mi morada en medio de vosotros, y mi alma no os abominará;
12 And I will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be my people.
y andaré entre vosotros, y yo seré vuestro Dios, y vosotros seréis mi pueblo.
13 I am the LORD your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that ye should not be their bondmen; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.
Yo soy el SEÑOR vuestro Dios, que os saqué de la tierra de Egipto, para que no fueseis sus esclavos; y rompí las coyundas de vuestro yugo, y os he hecho andar con el rostro alto.
14 But if ye will not hearken unto me, and will not do all these commandments;
Pero si no me oyereis, ni hiciereis todos estos mis mandamientos,
15 and if ye shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhor my judgments, so that ye will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant;
y si abominareis mis decretos, y vuestra alma menospreciare mis derechos, no poniendo por obra todos mis mandamientos, e invalidando mi pacto;
16 I also will do this unto you; I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away: and ye shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.
yo también haré con vosotros esto: enviaré sobre vosotros terror, extenuación y calentura, que consuman los ojos y atormenten el alma; y sembraréis en balde vuestra simiente, porque vuestros enemigos la comerán.
17 And I will set my face against you, and ye shall be smitten before your enemies: they that hate you shall rule over you; and ye shall flee when none pursueth you.
Y pondré mi ira sobre vosotros, y seréis heridos delante de vuestros enemigos; y los que os aborrecen se enseñorearán de vosotros, y huiréis sin que haya quien os persiga.
18 And if ye will not yet for these things hearken unto me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.
Y si aun con estas cosas no me oyereis, yo tornaré a castigaros siete veces más por vuestros pecados.
19 And I will break the pride of your power; and I will make your heaven as iron, and your earth as brass:
Y quebrantaré la soberbia de vuestra fortaleza, y tornaré vuestro cielo como hierro, y vuestra tierra como bronce.
20 and your strength shall be spent in vain: for your land shall not yield her increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.
Y vuestra fuerza se consumirá en vano; que vuestra tierra no dará su fruto, y los árboles de la tierra no darán su fruto.
21 And if ye walk contrary unto me, and will not hearken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins.
Y si anduviereis conmigo en oposición, y no me quisiereis oír, yo añadiré sobre vosotros siete veces más plagas según vuestros pecados.
22 And I will send the beast of the field among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your ways shall become desolate.
Enviaré también contra vosotros bestias fieras que os arrebaten los hijos, y destruyan vuestros animales, y os apoquen, y vuestros caminos sean desiertos.
23 And if by these things ye will not be reformed unto me, but will walk contrary unto me;
Y si con estas cosas no fuereis corregidos, sino que anduviereis conmigo en oposición,
24 then will I also walk contrary unto you; and I will smite you, even I, seven times for your sins.
yo también procederé con vosotros, en oposición y os heriré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados.
25 And I will bring a sword upon you, that shall execute the vengeance of the covenant; and ye shall be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and ye shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
Y traeré sobre vosotros cuchillo vengador, en vindicación del pacto; y os recogeréis a vuestras ciudades; mas yo enviaré pestilencia entre vosotros, y seréis entregados en mano del enemigo.
26 When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.
Cuando yo os quebrantare el sustento del pan, cocerán diez mujeres vuestro pan en un horno, y os devolverán vuestro pan por peso; y comeréis, y no os saciaréis.
27 And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me;
Y si con esto no me oyereis, mas procediereis conmigo en oposición,
28 then I will walk contrary unto you in fury; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.
yo procederé con vosotros en contra y con ira, y os castigaré aún siete veces por vuestros pecados.
29 And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat.
Y comeréis la carne de vuestros hijos, y comeréis la carne de vuestras hijas.
30 And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your sun-images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols; and my soul shall abhor you.
Y destruiré vuestros altos, y talaré vuestras imágenes, y pondré vuestros cuerpos muertos sobre los cuerpos muertos de vuestros ídolos, y mi alma os abominará.
31 And I will make your cities a waste, and will bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.
Y pondré vuestras ciudades en desierto, y asolaré vuestros santuarios, y no oleré la fragancia de vuestro suave perfume.
32 And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it.
Yo asolaré también la tierra, que se pasmarán de ella vuestros enemigos que en ella moran;
33 And you will I scatter among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you: and your land shall be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
y a vosotros os esparciré por los gentiles, y desenvainaré cuchillo en pos de vosotros; y vuestra tierra estará asolada, y desiertas vuestras ciudades.
34 Then shall the land enjoy her sabbaths, as long as it lieth desolate, and ye be in your enemies’ land; even then shall the land rest, and enjoy her sabbaths.
Entonces la tierra reposará sus sábados todos los días que estuviere asolada, mientras vosotros estéis en la tierra de vuestros enemigos; la tierra descansará entonces y gozará sus sábados.
35 As long as it lieth desolate it shall have rest; even the rest which it had not in your sabbaths, when ye dwelt upon it.
Todo el tiempo que estará asolada, reposará lo que no reposó en vuestros sábados mientras habitabais en ella.
36 And as for them that are left of you, I will send a faintness into their heart in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as one fleeth from the sword; and they shall fall when none pursueth.
Y a los que quedaren de vosotros infundiré en sus corazones tal cobardía, en la tierra de sus enemigos, que el sonido de una hoja movida los perseguirá, y huirán como de cuchillo, y caerán sin que nadie los persiga.
37 And they shall stumble one upon another, as it were before the sword, when none pursueth: and ye shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
Y tropezarán los unos con los otros, como si huyeran delante de cuchillo, aunque nadie los persiga; y no podréis resistir delante de vuestros enemigos.
38 And ye shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up.
Y pereceréis entre los gentiles, y la tierra de vuestros enemigos os consumirá.
39 And they that are left of you shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
Y los que quedaren de vosotros decaerán en las tierras de vuestros enemigos por su iniquidad; y por la iniquidad de sus padres decaerán con ellos.
40 And they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that because they have walked contrary unto me,
Y confesarán su iniquidad, y la iniquidad de sus padres, por su prevaricación con que prevaricaron contra mí; y también porque anduvieron conmigo en oposición,
41 I also walked contrary unto them, and brought them into the land of their enemies: if then their uncircumcised heart be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity;
Yo también habré andado con ellos en contra, y los habré metido en la tierra de sus enemigos; y entonces se humillará su corazón incircunciso, y rogarán por su pecado;
42 then will I remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
y yo me acordaré de mi pacto con Jacob, y asimismo de mi pacto con Isaac, y también de mi pacto con Abraham me acordaré; y haré memoria de la tierra.
43 The land also shall be left of them, and shall enjoy her sabbaths, while she lieth desolate without them; and they shall accept of the punishment of their iniquity: because, even because they rejected my judgments, and their soul abhorred my statutes.
Que la tierra estará desamparada de ellos, y reposará sus sábados, estando desierta a causa de ellos; y ellos rogarán por su pecado; por cuanto menospreciaron mis derechos, y tuvo el alma de ellos fastidio de mis decretos.
44 And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God:
Y aun con todo esto, estando ellos en tierra de sus enemigos, yo no los desecharé, ni los abominaré para consumirlos, invalidando mi pacto con ellos; porque yo el SEÑOR soy su Dios.
45 but I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the LORD.
Antes me acordaré de ellos por el pacto antiguo, cuando los saqué de la tierra de Egipto a los ojos de los gentiles, para ser su Dios: Yo soy el SEÑOR.
46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws, which the LORD made between him and the children of Israel in mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
Estos son los decretos, derechos y leyes que estableció el SEÑOR entre sí y los hijos de Israel en el monte de Sinaí por mano de Moisés.
