Job 13
1 Lo, mine eye hath seen all [this], mine ear hath heard and understood it.
੧ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੇਰੀ ਅੱਖ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਹੈ।
2 What ye know, [the same] do I know also: I am not inferior unto you.
੨ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਘੱਟ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।
3 Surely I would speak to the Almighty, and I desire to reason with God.
੩ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਣਾ, ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
4 But ye are forgers of lies, ye are all physicians of no value.
੪ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਝੂਠੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਘੜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਹੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਿਕੰਮੇ ਵੈਦ ਹੋ!
5 Oh that ye would altogether hold your peace! and it should be your wisdom.
੫ਕਾਸ਼ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਨ ਠਹਿਰਦੇ!
6 Hear now my reasoning, and hearken to the pleadings of my lips.
੬ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਮੇਰੀ ਦਲੀਲ ਸੁਣੋ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਲਾਓ।
7 Will ye speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
੭ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕੁਧਰਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਛਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬੋਲੋਗੇ?
8 Will ye respect his person? will ye contend for God?
੮ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਜਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਮੁਕੱਦਮਾ ਲੜੋਗੇ?
9 Is it good that he should search you out? or as one deceiveth a man, will ye deceive him?
੯ਭਲਾ ਇਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਂਚੇ, ਜਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਦਿਓਗੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਧੋਖਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ?
10 He will surely reprove you, if ye do secretly respect persons.
੧੦ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਕਰੋਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਖ਼ਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਝਿੜਕੇਗਾ।
11 Shall not his excellency make you afraid, and his dread fall upon you?
੧੧ਭਲਾ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਹਾਨਤਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਾਉਂਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੈਂਦਾ?
12 Your memorable sayings [are] proverbs of ashes, your defences [are] defences of clay.
੧੨ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮਸਲੇ ਖ਼ਾਕ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਹਾਉਤਾਂ ਹਨ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਮਿੱਟੀ ਦੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਹਨ!
13 Hold your peace, let me alone, that I may speak, and let come on me what wilt.
੧੩ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਾਂ, ਫੇਰ ਜੋ ਹੋਵੇ ਸੋ ਹੋਵੇ!
14 Wherefore should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in mine hand?
੧੪ਮੈਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਾਸ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਬਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਤਲੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਾਂ?
15 Though he slay me, yet will I wait for him: nevertheless I will maintain my ways before him.
੧੫ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਆਸ ਨਹੀਂ, ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਲ-ਚਲਣ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
16 This also shall be my salvation; for a godless man shall not come before him.
੧੬ਇਹ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਕੁਧਰਮੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ।
17 Hear diligently my speech, and let my declaration be in your ears.
੧੭ਧਿਆਨ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣੋ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਵੇ।
18 Behold now, I have ordered my cause; I know that I am righteous.
੧੮ਹੁਣ ਵੇਖੋ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੁਕੱਦਮੇ ਦੀ ਤਿਆਰੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਠਹਿਰਾਂਗਾ।
19 Who is he that will contend with me? for now shall I hold my peace and give up the ghost.
੧੯ਕੌਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
20 Only do not two things unto me, then will I not hide myself from thy face:
੨੦ਦੋ ਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾ ਕਰ, ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰੋਂ ਨਾ ਲੁਕਾਂਗਾ।
21 Withdraw thine hand far from me; and let not thy terror make me afraid.
੨੧ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਲੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਭੈਅ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਡਰਾਵੇ।
22 Then call thou, and I will answer; or let me speak, and answer thou me.
੨੨ਤਦ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਜਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਬੋਲਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇ!
23 How many are mine iniquities and sins? make me to know my transgression and my sin.
੨੩ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਬੁਰਾਈਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਿੰਨੇ ਹਨ? ਮੇਰਾ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਅਤੇ ਪਾਪ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ!
24 Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and holdest me for thine enemy?
੨੪ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਕਿਉਂ ਲੁਕਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਗਿਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
25 Wilt thou harass a driven leaf? and wilt thou pursue the dry stubble?
੨੫ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਉੱਡਦੇ ਪੱਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਡਰਾਵੇਂਗਾ? ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸੁੱਕੇ ਘਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ?
26 For thou writest bitter things against me, and makest me to inherit the iniquities of my youth:
੨੬ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੌੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਲਿਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜੁਆਨੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਦੀਆਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੱਲੇ ਪਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
27 Thou puttest my feet also in the stocks, and markest all my paths; thou drawest thee a line about the soles of my feet:
੨੭ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੋਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹਬਾਨੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਲ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ!
28 Though I am like a rotten thing that consumeth, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
੨੮ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਸੜੀ ਹੋਈ ਚੀਜ਼ ਵਰਗਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਹੰਢਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਜਾਂ ਉਸ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੀੜੇ ਨੇ ਖਾ ਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ!
