Isaiah 63
1 Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, marching in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save.
੧ਇਹ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਬਾਸਰਾਹ ਨਗਰ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਲ ਬਸਤਰ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਦਾ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਲ ਦੇ ਵਾਧੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਲਾਂਘਾਂ ਭਰਦਾ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਮਰੱਥੀ ਹਾਂ।
2 Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat?
੨ਤੇਰਾ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਲਾਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਬਸਤਰ ਹੌਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਾਂ ਲਤਾੜਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੈ?
3 I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the peoples there was no man with me: yea, I trod them in mine anger, and trampled them in my fury; and their lifeblood is sprinkled upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment.
੩ਮੈਂ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਹੀ ਦਾਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੌਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਤਾੜਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼-ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਤਾੜਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿੱਧਿਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਬਸਤਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਛਿੜਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲਿਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਲਬੇੜਿਆ ਹੈ!
4 For the day of vengeance was in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
੪ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਬਦਲਾ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਛੁਡਾਇਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਲ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me.
੫ਮੈਂ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਹਾਇਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਮੈਂ ਦੰਗ ਰਹਿ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਭਾਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਤਦ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਹੀ ਬਾਂਹ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੰਭਾਲਿਆ।
6 And I trod down the peoples in mine anger, and made them drunk in my fury, and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.
੬ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਤਾੜਿਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਤਵਾਲੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਹਾਇਆ।
7 I will make mention of the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, [and] the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD hath bestowed on us; and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which he hath bestowed on them according to his mercies, and according to the multitude of his lovingkindnesses.
੭ਉਹਨਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਉਪਕਾਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੀਤੇ, ਨਾਲੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਸ ਵੱਡੀ ਭਲਿਆਈ ਲਈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਹਮ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਦੀ ਵਾਫ਼ਰੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਦਯਾ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
8 For he said, Surely, they are my people, children that will not deal falsely: so he was their saviour.
੮ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਹੈ, ਅਜਿਹੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜੋ ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਦੇਣਗੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
9 In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
੯ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋਇਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾਇਆ, ਉਹ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਫਿਰਿਆ।
10 But they rebelled, and grieved his holy spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, [and] himself fought against them.
੧੦ਪਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਦਰੋਹੀ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਖੀ ਕੀਤਾ, ਇਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਹ ਉਲਟਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਵੈਰੀ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਿਆ।
11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, [and] his people, [saying], Where is he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherds of his flock? where is he that put his holy spirit in the midst of them?
੧੧ਤਦ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, - ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮੁੰਦਰੋਂ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਲਿਆਇਆ, ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਨੂੰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਸਮੇਤ? ਉਹ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਪਾਇਆ?
12 that caused his glorious arm to go at the right hand of Moses? that divided the water before them, to make himself an everlasting name?
੧੨ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਤਾਪਵਾਨ ਭੁਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪਾਣੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾੜਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਨਾਮ ਬਣਾਵੇ?
13 that led them through the depths, as an horse in the wilderness, that they stumbled not?
੧੩ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਡੁੰਘਿਆਈਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ? ਜਿਵੇਂ ਘੋੜਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਠੋਕਰ ਨਾ ਖਾਧੀ।
14 As the cattle that go down into the valley, the spirit of the LORD caused them to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious name.
੧੪ਜਿਵੇਂ ਪਸ਼ੂ ਦੂਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਤਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਤਾਪਵਾਨ ਨਾਮ ਬਣਾਵੇਂ।
15 Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where is thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy bowels and thy compassions are restrained toward me.
੧੫ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਭਵਨ ਤੋਂ, ਤੇਰੀ ਅਣਖ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਆਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹਨ? ਤੇਰੀ ਅਣਖ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਹਮ ਜੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸੀ, ਰੁੱਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
16 For thou art our father, though Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us: thou, O LORD, art our father; our redeemer from everlasting is thy name.
੧੬ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈਂ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ, ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹਿਚਾਣਦਾ, ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ, ਸਾਡਾ ਛੁਡਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ, ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਕਾਲ ਤੋਂ ਹੈਂ।
17 O LORD, why dost thou make us to err from thy ways, and hardenest our heart from thy fear? Return for thy servants’ sake, the tribes of thine inheritance.
੧੭ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਿਆਂ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਭਟਕਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰਾ ਡਰ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਠੋਰ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ? ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਿੱਜ ਭਾਗ ਦੇ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਾਤਰ ਮੁੜ ਆ।
18 Thy holy people possessed [it] but a little while: our adversaries have trodden down thy sanctuary.
੧੮ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਲਈ ਹੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਫੇਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਲਤਾੜਿਆ ਹੈ।
19 We are become as they over whom thou never barest rule; as they that were not called by thy name.
੧੯ਅਸੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਣੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਰਾਜ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਦੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ।
