1 Chronicles 12
1 Now these are they that came to David to Ziklag, while he yet kept himself close because of Saul the son of Kish: and they were among the mighty men, his helpers in war.
Und diese sind es, welche zu David nach Ziklag kamen, [Vergl. 1. Sam. 27] als er sich noch vor Saul, dem Sohne Kis, verborgen hielt; [Eig. vor [od. wegen] Saul abgesperrt war] auch sie waren unter den Helden, die ihm im Streite halfen,
2 They were armed with bows, and could use both the right hand and the left in slinging stones and in shooting arrows from the bow; they were of Saul’s brethren of Benjamin.
ausgerüstet mit dem Bogen und geübt, mit der Rechten und mit der Linken Steine zu schleudern und Pfeile mit dem Bogen abzuschießen: Von den Brüdern Sauls, aus Benjamin:
3 The chief was Ahiezer, then Joash, the sons of Shemaah the Gibeathite; and Jeziel, and Pelet, the sons of Azmaveth; and Beracah, and Jehu the Anathothite;
das Haupt Achieser, und Joas, die Söhne Haschemaas, des Gibeathiters; und Jesiel und Peleth, die Söhne Asmaweths; und Beraka, und Jehu, der Annethotiter;
4 and Ishmaiah the Gibeonite, a mighty man among the thirty and over the thirty; and Jeremiah, and Jahaziel, and Johanan, and Jozabad the Gederathite;
und Jischmaja, der Gibeoniter, ein Held unter den Dreißig und über die Dreißig; und Jeremia und Jachasiel und Jochanan, und Josabad, der Gederathiter;
5 Eluzai, and Jerimoth, and Bealiah, and Shemariah, and Shephatiah the Haruphite;
Elusai und Jerimoth und Bealja und Schemarja, und Schephatja, der Haruphiter;
6 Elkanah, and Isshiah, and Azarel, and Joezer, and Jashobeam, the Korahites;
Elkana und Jischschija und Asarel und Joeser und Jaschobam, die Korhiter;
7 and Joelah, and Zebadiah, the sons of Jeroham of Gedor.
und Joela und Sebadja, die Söhne Jerochams, von Gedor. -
8 And of the Gadites there separated themselves unto David to the hold in the wilderness, mighty men of valour, men trained for war, that could handle shield and spear; whose faces were like the faces of lions, and they were as swift as the roes upon the mountains;
Und von den Gaditern sonderten sich ab zu David, nach der Bergfeste in die Wüste, tapfere Helden, Männer des Heeres zum Kriege, mit Schild und Lanze gerüstet, deren Angesichter wie Löwenangesichter, und die den Gazellen auf den Bergen gleich waren an Schnelle:
9 Ezer the chief, Obadiah the second, Eliab the third;
Eser, das Haupt; Obadja, der zweite; Eliab, der dritte;
10 Mishmannah the fourth; Jeremiah the fifth;
Mischmanna, der vierte; Jeremia, der fünfte;
11 Attai the sixth, Eliel the seventh;
Attai, der sechste; Eliel, der siebte;
12 Johanan the eighth, Elzabad the ninth;
Jochanan, der achte; Elsabad, der neunte;
13 Jeremiah the tenth, Machbannai the eleventh.
Jeremia, der zehnte; Makbannai, der elfte.
14 These of the sons of Gad were captains of the host: he that was least was equal to an hundred, and the greatest to a thousand.
Diese, von den Söhnen Gads, waren Häupter des Heeres; der Kleinste konnte es mit hundert, und der Größte mit tausend aufnehmen. [Eig. der Kleinste war für hundert, für tausend]
15 These are they that went over Jordan in the first month, when it had overflown all its banks; and they put to flight all them of the valleys, both toward the east, and toward the west.
Diese sind es, welche über den Jordan gingen, im ersten Monat, wenn er alle seine Ufer überflutet, und alle Bewohner der Niederungen, gegen Osten und gegen Westen, in die Flucht jagten.
16 And there came of the children of Benjamin and Judah to the hold unto David.
Und es kamen einige von den Kindern Benjamin und Juda nach der Bergfeste zu David.
17 And David went out to meet them, and answered and said unto them, If ye be come peaceably unto me to help me, mine heart shall be knit unto you: but if [ye be come] to betray me to mine adversaries, seeing there is no wrong in mine hands, the God of our fathers look thereon, and rebuke it.
Und David ging hinaus, ihnen entgegen, und er hob an und sprach zu ihnen: Wenn ihr zum Frieden zu mir gekommen seid, um mir zu helfen, so wird mein Herz sich mit euch vereinigen; wenn aber, um mich an meine Feinde zu verraten, ohne daß Unrecht in meiner Hand ist, so möge der Gott unserer Väter es sehen und strafen!
18 Then the spirit came upon Amasai, who was chief of the thirty, [and he said], Thine are we, David, and on thy side, thou son of Jesse: peace, peace be unto thee, and peace be to thine helpers; for thy God helpeth thee. Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.
Da kam der Geist über [Eig. bekleidete der Geist] Amasai, das Haupt der Anführer: [O. der Ritter. Nach and. Lesart: der Dreißig] Dein sind wir, David, und mit dir, Sohn Isais! Friede, [O. Heil; so auch nachher] Friede dir und Friede deinen Helfern! denn dein Gott hilft dir! -Und David nahm sie auf und setzte sie zu Häuptern von Scharen.
19 Of Manasseh also there fell away some to David, when he came with the Philistines against Saul to battle, but they helped them not: for the lords of the Philistines upon advisement sent him away, saying, He will fall away to his master Saul to the jeopardy of our heads.
Und von Manasse liefen einige zu David über, als er mit den Philistern wider Saul in den Streit zog; aber sie halfen ihnen nicht; denn nachdem sie Rat gehalten hatten, entließen ihn die Fürsten der Philister, indem sie sprachen: Auf Gefahr unserer Köpfe könnte er zu seinem Herrn Saul überlaufen!
20 As he went to Ziklag, there fell to him of Manasseh, Adnah, and Jozabad, and Jediael, and Michael, and Jozabad, and Elihu, and Zillethai, captains of thousands that were of Manasseh.
Als er nach Ziklag zog, liefen von Manasse zu ihm über: Adna und Josabad und Jediael und Michael und Josabad und Elihu und Zillethai, Häupter der Tausende von Manasse.
21 And they helped David against the band of rovers: for they were all mighty men of valour, and were captains in the host.
Und sie halfen David wider die Streifschar, [Vgl. 1. Sam. 30,1-10] denn tapfere Helden waren sie alle; und sie wurden Oberste im Heere.
22 For from day to day there came to David to help him, until it was a great host, like the host of God.
Denn es kamen von Tag zu Tage zu David, um ihm zu helfen, bis es ein großes Heerlager wurde, wie ein Heerlager Gottes.
23 And these are the numbers of the heads of them that were armed for war, which came to David to Hebron, to turn the kingdom of Saul to him, according to the word of the LORD.
Und dies sind die Zahlen der Köpfe der zum Heere Gerüsteten, welche zu David nach Hebron kamen, um ihm das Königreich Sauls zuzuwenden nach dem Befehle Jehovas:
24 The children of Judah that bare shield and spear were six thousand and eight hundred, armed for war.
Die Kinder Juda, welche Schild und Lanze trugen, 6800 zum Heere Gerüstete.
25 Of the children of Simeon, mighty men of valour for the war, seven thousand and one hundred.
Von den Kindern Simeon: streitbare Männer [O. tapfere Helden] zum Heere, 7100.
26 Of the children of Levi four thousand and six hundred.
Von den Kindern Levi: 4600;
27 And Jehoiada was the leader of [the house of] Aaron, and with him were three thousand and seven hundred;
und Jojada, der Fürst von Aaron, und mit ihm 3700;
28 and Zadok, a young man mighty of valour, and of his father’s house twenty and two captains.
und Zadok, ein Jüngling, ein tapferer Held, und das Haus seines Vaters: 22 Oberste.
29 And of the children of Benjamin, the brethren of Saul, three thousand: for hitherto the greatest part of them had kept their allegiance to the house of Saul.
Und von den Kindern Benjamin, den Brüdern Sauls: 3000; aber der größte Teil von ihnen hielt bis dahin treu zum Hause Sauls. [W. wartete der Hut des Hauses Sauls]
30 And of the children of Ephraim twenty thousand and eight hundred, mighty men of valour, famous men in their fathers’ houses.
Und von den Kindern Ephraim: 20800, streitbare Männer, Männer von Namen, nach ihren Vaterhäusern.
31 And of the half tribe of Manasseh eighteen thousand, which were expressed by name, to come and make David king.
Und von dem halben Stamme Manasse: 18000, die mit Namen angegeben wurden, daß sie hingingen, um David zum König zu machen.
32 And of the children of Issachar, men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.
Und von den Kindern Issaschar: Männer, welche Einsicht hatten in die Zeiten, [d. h. ein richtiges Urteil in der Erwägung der Zeitverhältnisse] um zu wissen, was Israel tun mußte; ihre Häupter, 200; und alle ihre Brüder folgten ihrem Befehl. [W. Mund]
33 Of Zebulun, such as were able to go out in the host, that could set the battle in array, with all manner of instruments of war, fifty thousand; and that could order [the battle array, and were] not of double heart.
Von Sebulon: die zum Heere auszogen, mit allen Kriegswaffen zum Kampfe bereit, 50000, und zwar um sich in Schlachtreihen zu ordnen [O. indem sie sich ordneten] mit ungeteiltem Herzen.
34 And of Naphtali a thousand captains, and with them with shield and spear thirty and seven thousand.
Und von Naphtali: 1000 Oberste; und mit ihnen 37000 mit Schild und Speer.
35 And of the Danites that could set the battle in array, twenty and eight thousand and six hundred.
Und von den Danitern: 28600, zum Kampfe bereit.
36 And of Asher, such as were able to go out in the host, that could set the battle in array, forty thousand.
Und von Aser: die zum Heere auszogen, zum Kampfe bereit, 40000.
37 And on the other side of Jordan, of the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and of the half tribe of Manasseh, with all manner of instruments of war for the battle, an hundred and twenty thousand.
Und von jenseit des Jordan, von den Rubenitern und den Gaditern und dem halben Stamme Manasse: mit allen Waffen eines Kriegsheeres, 120000.
38 All these, being men of war, that could order the battle array, came with a perfect heart to Hebron, to make David king over all Israel: and all the rest also of Israel were of one heart to make David king.
Alle diese Kriegsleute, die sich in Schlachtreihen ordneten, kamen mit ungeteiltem Herzen nach Hebron, um David zum König über ganz Israel zu machen. Und auch alle übrigen in Israel waren eines Herzens, David zum König zu machen.
39 And they were there with David three days, eating and drinking: for their brethren had made preparation for them.
Und sie waren daselbst bei David drei Tage, und aßen und tranken; denn ihre Brüder hatten für sie zugerichtet.
40 Moreover they that were nigh unto them, [even] as far as Issachar and Zebulun and Naphtali, brought bread on asses, and on camels, and on mules, and on oxen, victual of meal, cakes of figs, and clusters of raisins, and wine, and oil, and oxen, and sheep in abundance: for there was joy in Israel:
Und auch die ihnen nahe wohnten, bis nach Issaschar und Sebulon und Naphtali hin, brachten Lebensmittel [W. Brot] auf Eseln und auf Kamelen und auf Maultieren und auf Rindern: Mehlspeisen, Feigenkuchen und Rosinenkuchen, und Wein und Öl, und Rinder und Kleinvieh in Menge; denn es war Freude in Israel.
