< 1 Timothy 2 >

1 First of all, then, I ask that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings should be offered for everyone,
2 especially for kings and all who are in high positions, in order that we may lead a quiet and peaceful life in a deeply religious and reverent spirit.
Hule-oꞌe taꞌo naa fee mane-maneꞌ ra ro basa malangga ra. No taꞌo naa, basa hita tasodꞌa no mole-dꞌame, tungga Lamatualain hihiin. Masodꞌaꞌ naa nandaa soaꞌ neu atahori mana beꞌutee neu Lamatualain.
3 This will be good and acceptable in the eyes of God, our Savior,
Hule-oꞌe mataꞌ naa, maloleꞌ. Naa tao nemehoꞌo Lamatualain, mana fee masodꞌaꞌ neu hita.
4 whose will is that everyone should be saved, and attain to a full knowledge of the truth.
Ana nau basa atahori hambu masodꞌaꞌ, ma rahine saa fo ndoo-tetuꞌ. Naeni:
5 There is but one God, and one mediator between God and humanity – the human, Christ Jesus,
Lamatualain naa, esaꞌ a. Ma lelete o esaꞌ a boe. Leleta naa, naeni Yesus kristus mana nadameꞌ Lamatualain no hita atahori. Ma Yesus naa, memaꞌ atahoriꞌ tebꞌe-tebꞌe.
6 who gave himself as a ransom on behalf of all. This must be our testimony, as opportunities present themselves;
Ana fee aon fo soitefa basa hita mia sala tara. Ndaa no fain, Lamatualain soi relo-relo Dudꞌui Malolen fo nafadꞌe neu basa atahori.
7 and it was for this that I was myself appointed a herald and an apostle (I am telling the simple truth and no lie) – a teacher of the Gentiles in the faith and truth.
Huu naa, Lamatualain pili nala au dadꞌi dedꞌenun ena, fo uu ufadꞌe atahori nda Yahudi ra sa sia bee-bꞌee, ma unori se fo ara ramahere Lamatuaꞌ Yesus no rasodꞌa tungga dala ndo tetuꞌ a. Saa fo au ufadꞌeꞌ ia, tebꞌe taꞌo naa. Au nda lelekoꞌ sa.
8 My desire, then, is that it should be the custom everywhere for the men to lead the prayers, with hands reverently uplifted, avoiding heated controversy.
Au hihii ngga taꞌo ia: sia bee-bꞌee, mete ma hei miꞌibꞌue fo hule-oꞌe, na, hei musi malolole esa no esa. Afiꞌ miminasa esa no esa. Afiꞌ mireresi. Mete ma botiꞌ lima mara fo hule-oꞌe, rala mara musi meumareꞌ.
9 I also desire that women should adorn themselves with appropriate dress, worn quietly and modestly, and not with wreaths or gold ornaments for the hair, or pearls, or costly clothing,
Inaꞌ ra o onaꞌ naa boe. Au nau ara tao ao nara randaa, ma pake bꞌualoꞌas nandaa boe. Afiꞌ koao fo tao atahori pupuik se, ma afiꞌ tao langga fulu nara mataꞌ-mataꞌ, do, pake bꞌualoꞌas mafelit nda nandaa hadat sa, doꞌ koao naꞌalelenaꞌ nendiꞌ, bua mbilas lilo fulaꞌ no mutiara ma permata. Te mana tao inaꞌ ra meulau, naeni rala meumare, ma tatao malole nara. Na ndaa no inaꞌ mana beꞌutee neu Lamatualain.
10 but – as is proper for women who profess to be religious – with good actions.
11 They must learn, listening quietly to their teachers and showing them all deference.
Mete ma atahori saraniꞌ ra raꞌabꞌue rena nenoriꞌ, na, inaꞌ ra o tungga hohoro-lalaneꞌ ra fo pasa ndiki nara nenene malolole ma rena tetebꞌes nenoriꞌ naa. Afiꞌ utu-utu ma tao haras.
12 I do not consent to them becoming teachers, or exercising authority over men; they ought to not make a fuss.
Tungga au, inaꞌ ra nda randaa rananaru soꞌu ao nara fo parenda touꞌ, ma ranori se sa. Malole lenaꞌ inaꞌ ra subꞌa-subꞌaꞌ a.
13 Adam was formed first, not Eve.
Huu Lamatualain naꞌadꞌadꞌiꞌ Adam naꞌahuluꞌ dei de Hawa.
14 And it was not Adam who was deceived; it was the woman who was entirely deceived and fell into sin.
Boe ma Adam nda nenetipuꞌ naꞌahuluꞌ mia nitu ra malangga monaen sa, te inaꞌ. Eniꞌ a leleꞌ naa, atahori ralena-langga Lamatualain hohoro-lalanen.
15 But she will be saved by the birth of a child, if they never abandon faith, love, or holiness, and behave with modesty.
Te onaꞌ naa o, inaꞌ ra o bisa hambu masodꞌaꞌ, huu ara bꞌonggi. Sadꞌi ramehere tebꞌe neu Kristus, rasodꞌa esa sue esa, rasodꞌa no rala meumareꞌ, ma rasodꞌa randaa no hadꞌa-dꞌalaꞌ.
