Titus 2

1 You however, should speak of such subjects as properly have a place in sound teaching.

۱ اما تو سخنان شایسته تعلیم صحیح را بگو:

2 Teach that the older men should be soberly clear minded, dignified and self-controlled – sound in faith, love, and patient endurance.

۲ که مردان پیر، هشیار و باوقار وخرداندیش و در ایمان و محبت و صبر، صحیح باشند.

3 So, too, that the older women should live reverent lives, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking.

۳ همچنین زنان پیر، در سیرت متقی باشند و نه غیبت‌گو و نه بنده شراب زیاده بلکه معلمات تعلیم نیکو،

4 They should teach what is good, so as to train the younger women to love their husbands and children,

۴ تا زنان جوان را خرد بیاموزند که شوهردوست و فرزنددوست باشند،

5 and to be self-controlled, pure-minded, to be watching over their home, to be kind, respecting the authority of their husbands, so that no one will speak badly of God’s message.

۵ وخرداندیش و عفیفه و خانه نشین و نیکو و مطیع شوهران خود که مبادا کلام خدا متهم شود.

6 In the same way with the younger men – encourage them to be self-controlled.

۶ و به همین نسق جوانان را نصیحت فرما تا خرداندیش باشند.

7 In all things, set an example of doing good. In your teaching, show integrity and seriousness –

۷ و خود را در همه‌چیز نمونه اعمال نیکو بسازو در تعلیم خود صفا و وقار و اخلاص را بکار بر،

8 let the instruction that you give be sound and above reproach, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed when they fail to find anything bad to say about us.

۸ و کلام صحیح بی‌عیب را تا دشمن چونکه فرصت بد‌گفتن در حق ما نیابد، خجل شود.

9 Tell slaves to respect their owner’s authority in all circumstances, and to try their best to please them.

۹ غلامان را نصیحت نما که آقایان خود رااطاعت کنند و در هر امر ایشان را راضی سازند ونقیض گو نباشند؛

10 Teach them not to contradict or to pilfer, but to show such praiseworthy fidelity in everything, as to recommend the teaching about God our Saviour by all that they do.

۱۰ و دزدی نکنند بلکه کمال دیانت را ظاهر سازند تا تعلیم نجات‌دهنده ما خدارا در هر چیز زینت دهند.

11 For the loving kindness of God has been revealed, bringing salvation for all,

۱۱ زیرا که فیض خدا که برای همه مردم نجات‌بخش است، ظاهر شده،

12 leading us to renounce ungodliness and worldly desires, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives here in this present age, (aiōn g165)

۱۲ ما را تادیب می‌کند که بی‌دینی و شهوات دنیوی را ترک کرده، با خرداندیشی و عدالت و دینداری در این جهان زیست کنیم. (aiōn g165)

13 while awaiting our blessed hope – the appearing in glory of our great God and Saviour, Christ Jesus.

۱۳ و آن امید مبارک و تجلی جلال خدای عظیم و نجات‌دهنده خود ما عیسی مسیح را انتظار کشیم،

14 For he gave himself on our behalf, to deliver us from all wickedness, and to purify for himself a people who should be truly his own and eager to do good.

۱۴ که خود را در راه ما فدا ساخت تا ما را از هر ناراستی برهاند و امتی برای خودطاهر سازد که ملک خاص او و غیور در اعمال نیکو باشند.

15 Tell them of all this, and encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone belittle you.

۱۵ این را بگو و نصیحت فرما و درکمال اقتدار توبیخ نما و هیچ‌کس تو را حقیرنشمارد.
