< Psalms 98 >

1 A psalm. Sing a new song to the Lord, for he has done wonders; his right hand and holy arm have won him the victory.
A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song; for he hath done marvelous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.
2 The Lord has made his victory known, and revealed to the eyes of the nations his righteousness.
The LORD hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shown in the sight of the heathen.
3 Mindful he was of his kindness to Jacob, faithful he was to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the victory of our God.
He hath remembered his mercy and his truth towards the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
4 Shout, all the earth, to the Lord: break into cries and music.
Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.
5 Play on the lyre to the Lord, on the lyre and with loud melody.
Sing to the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm.
6 With trumpet and sound of horn, shout before the king.
With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King.
7 Let the sea and its fulness roar, the world and the dwellers upon it.
Let the sea roar, and the fullness of it, the world, and they that dwell therein.
8 Let the streams clap their hands, let the hills shout for gladness together
Let the floods clap [their] hands: let the hills be joyful together
9 before the Lord for he comes, he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice and the nations with equity.
Before the LORD; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness will he judge the world, and the people with equity.
