< Psalms 94 >

1 Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth.
O SENYÈ, Bondye a vanjans lan, Bondye a vanjans lan, kite limyè vin parèt!
2 Rise up, judge of the earth, pay back the proud what they deserve.
Vin leve, O Jij sou tè a. Bay rekonpans a moun ògeye yo.
3 Lord, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult,
4 with their blustering arrogant words, their braggart and wicked speech,
Yo vide pawòl yo, yo pale avèk ògèy. Tout moun ki fè mechanste yo vante tèt yo.
5 crushing your people, Lord, and afflicting your heritage,
Yo kraze pèp Ou a, O SENYÈ. Yo aflije eritaj Ou a.
6 murdering widows and strangers, slaying the fatherless?
Yo touye vèv yo avèk etranje a. Yo asasine òfelen yo.
7 They think that the Lord does not see, nor the God of Jacob regard it.
Yo fin di: “SENYÈ a pa wè, ni Bondye Jacob la p ap okipe sa a.”
8 Take heed, you dullest of people; when will you be wise, you fools?
9 Is he deaf, who shaped the ear? Is he blind, who fashioned the eye?
10 Can he who trains nations not punish them he who teaches knowledge to people?
(Sila) ki fè chatiman nasyon yo, èske Li p ap fè repwòch? (Sila) ki enstwi lòm; Li konnen!
11 The Lord knows the thoughts of people, that only a breath are they.
SENYÈ a konnen panse a lòm, ke se sèlman yon souf ke yo ye.
12 Happy are those whom you chasten, and teach out of your law,
Beni se nonm ke Ou bay chatiman an, O SENYÈ, ke Ou enstwi nan lalwa Ou a,
13 keeping them calm in the day of misfortune, till a pit be dug for the wicked.
pou Ou kapab bay li sekou nan jou advèsite yo, jiskaske yon fòs fin fouye pou mechan yo.
14 For the Lord will not leave his people, he will not forsake his inheritance.
Paske SENYÈ a p ap abandone pèp Li a, ni Li p ap lage pèp eritaj Li a.
15 For the righteous shall come to their rights, and all true-hearted people shall follow them.
Paske jijman an va devni dwat ankò e tout pèp ladwati yo va swiv li.
16 Who will rise up for me against those who do evil? Who will stand up for me against workers of wrong?
17 Were it not for the help of the Lord, I would soon have gone to the silent grave.
Si SENYÈ a pa t sekou mwen, nanm mwen ta fin abite nan andwa silans lan.
18 When I thought that my foot was slipping, your kindness, Lord, held me up.
Si mwen ta di: “Pye m glise,” Lanmou dous Ou a, O SENYÈ, va kenbe m.
19 When with cares my heart was crowded, your comforts make me glad.
Lè panse twoub mwen yo vin ogmante anndan m, konsolasyon Ou yo fè kè m kontan.
20 Can corrupt justice be your ally, framing mischief by statute?
21 They assail the life of the righteous, and innocent blood condemn.
Yo vin reyini ansanm kont lavi moun dwat yo, e kondane inosan yo a lanmò.
22 But the Lord is my sure retreat, my God is the rock of my refuge.
Men SENYÈ a se toujou sitadèl mwen e Bondye mwen an, wòch ki pwoteje mwen an.
23 He will bring back their sin upon them, for their wickedness he will destroy them; the Lord our God will destroy them.
SENYÈ nou an va koupe retire yo.
