< Psalms 82 >

1 A psalm of Asaph. God has taken his stand in the divine assembly: in the midst of the gods he holds judgment.
KE ku mai nei ke Akua iwnena o ke anaina alii; Oia ka i hooponopono iwaena o na akua.
2 ‘How long will you crookedly judge, and favour the wicked? (Selah)
Pehea la ka loihi o ko oukou apono ana i ka hewa, A hoolana hoi i ka maka o ka poe lawehala? (Sila)
3 Do right by the weak and the orphan, acquit the innocent poor.
E hoopono oukou i ka mea nawaliwali, a me na keiki makua ole; E hoopololei hoi mamuli o ka poe pilikia, a me ka mea ilihune.
4 Rescue the weak and the needy, save them from the hand of the wicked.
E hoopakele oukou i ka mea nawaliwali, a me ka mea nele; E kaili mai hoi ia lakou, mai ka lima mai o ka poe hewa.
5 ‘They have neither knowledge nor insight, in darkness they walk to and fro, while the earth’s foundations totter.
Aole e ike lakou, aole hoi e hooponopono iho; Holoholo lakou ma ka pouli; Naueue hoi na kumu a pau o ka honua.
6 It was I who appointed you gods, children of the Most High all of you.
Olelo aku la au, He poe akua oukou, He poe keiki no hoi oukou na ka Mea kiekie loa.
7 Yet like mortals you will surely die, you will fall like any prince.’
Aka, e make no oukou e like me na kanaka, A e hina hoi e like me kekahi o na'lii.
8 Arise, O God, judge the earth, for all nations are yours by inheritance.
E ku mai oe, e ke Akua, e hooponopono i ko ka honua; No ka mea, e loaa ana no ia oe, iwaena o ko na aina a pau.
