Psalms 64
1 For the leader. A psalm of David. Hear, O my God, the voice of my lament: guard my life from the dread of the foe.
Untuk pemimpin biduan. Mazmur Daud. Ya Allah, dengarlah suaraku pada waktu aku mengaduh, jagalah nyawaku terhadap musuh yang dahsyat.
2 Hide me from villains who secretly plot, from the blustering throng of the workers of evil,
Sembunyikanlah aku terhadap persepakatan orang jahat, terhadap kerusuhan orang-orang yang melakukan kejahatan,
3 who have sharpened their tongue like a sword, and aimed bitter words like arrows,
yang menajamkan lidahnya seperti pedang, yang membidikkan kata yang pahit seperti panah,
4 which from ambush they launch at the blameless, shooting swiftly and unafraid.
untuk menembak orang yang tulus hati dari tempat yang tersembunyi; sekonyong-konyong mereka menembak dia dengan tidak takut-takut.
5 They strengthen their wicked purpose, they tell of the snares they have hidden, they say to themselves, ‘Who can see?’
Mereka berpegang teguh pada maksud yang jahat, mereka membicarakan hendak memasang perangkap dengan sembunyi; kata mereka: "Siapa yang melihatnya?"
6 They think out their crimes full cunningly hidden deep in their crafty hearts.
Mereka merancang kecurangan-kecurangan: "Kami sudah siap, rancangan sudah rampung." Alangkah dalamnya batin dan hati orang!
7 But God with his arrow will shoot them, swiftly shall they be smitten.
Tetapi Allah menembak mereka dengan panah; sekonyong-konyong mereka terluka.
8 For their tongue he will bring them to ruin, all will shudder with horror at the sight of them.
Ia membuat mereka tergelincir karena lidah mereka; setiap orang yang melihat mereka menggeleng kepala.
9 Then every person, touched to awe, as they ponder what God has wrought, will tell the tale of his deeds.
Maka semua orang takut dan memberitakan perbuatan Allah, dan mengakui pekerjaan-Nya.
10 In the Lord shall the righteous rejoice, in him shall they take refuge; and all the true-hearted shall glory.
Orang benar akan bersukacita karena TUHAN dan berlindung pada-Nya; semua orang yang jujur akan bermegah.
