Psalms 57
1 For the leader. Al tashheth. A michtam of David, when he fled from Saul into a cave. Be gracious, O God, be gracious to me, for in you I take shelter. In your sheltering wings I take refuge, till ruin be over past.
Ten compasión de mí, oh ʼElohim. Ten compasión de mí. Porque mi alma confía en Ti, Y en la sombra de tus alas me amparo Hasta que pase la destrucción.
2 I cry to the Most High God, to the God who accomplishes for me.
Clamaré a ʼElohim ʼElyón, A ʼEL, Quien me favorece.
3 He will send me his succour from heaven, he will thrust away those who would trample me. (Selah)
Él enviará desde el cielo Y me salvará de la infamia del que me oprime. (Selah) ʼElohim enviará su misericordia y su verdad.
4 In the midst of lions I lie, who devour human prey. Their teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue is a sharpened sword.
Mi vida está en medio de leones. Estoy tendido entre los que respiran fuego. Hijos de hombres, sus dientes son lanzas y flechas, Y su lengua, espada aguda.
5 Be exalted, God, o’er the heavens, and your glory o’er all the earth.
¡Exaltado seas sobre los cielos, oh ʼElohim! ¡Tu gloria sea sobre toda la tierra!
6 They set a net for my feet, but in it was their own foot caught. Before me they dug a pit, but they fell into it themselves. (Selah)
Tendieron una red ante mis pies para doblegar mi vida. Cavaron un hoyo delante de mí Y ellos cayeron en él. (Selah)
7 My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast. I would sing, I would make music;
Mi corazón está establecido, oh ʼElohim. Está firme mi corazón. Cantaré y entonaré salmos.
8 awake, my soul. Awake, harp and lyre; I would wake the dawn.
Despierta, alma mía. Despierten, arpa y lira. Yo despertaré el alba.
9 I would praise you among the peoples, O Lord, and make music among the nations to you;
Te daré gracias entre los pueblos, oh ʼAdonay. Te cantaré salmos en las naciones.
10 for great to heaven is your love, and your faithfulness to the clouds.
Porque tu misericordia es grande hasta los cielos, Y tu verdad, hasta las nubes.
11 Be exalted, God, o’er the heavens, and your glory o’er all the earth.
Exaltado seas sobre los cielos, oh ʼElohim. Y tu gloria sea por encima de toda la tierra.
