Psalms 47

1 For the leader. Of the Korahites. A psalm. Clap your hands, all you peoples: shout to God in ringing cries.

למנצח לבני-קרח מזמור ב כל-העמים תקעו-כף הריעו לאלהים בקול רנה

2 For the Lord is most high and dread, a great king over all the earth.

כי-יהוה עליון נורא מלך גדול על-כל-הארץ

3 He subdues the peoples under us, the nations under our feet;

ידבר עמים תחתינו ולאמים תחת רגלינו

4 he chooses our heritage for us, the glory of Jacob whom he loves. (Selah)

יבחר-לנו את-נחלתנו את גאון יעקב אשר-אהב סלה

5 God is gone up with a shout, the Lord with the sound of a trumpet.

עלה אלהים בתרועה יהוה בקול שופר

6 Sing praise to our God, sing praises: sing praise to our king, sing praises.

זמרו אלהים זמרו זמרו למלכנו זמרו

7 For king of all earth is he: praise God in a skilful song.

כי מלך כל-הארץ אלהים-- זמרו משכיל

8 God is king over all the nations, God sits on his holy throne.

מלך אלהים על-גוים אלהים ישב על-כסא קדשו

9 Princes of nations gather with the people of Abraham’s God: for the shields of the earth are God’s; greatly exalted is he.

נדיבי עמים נאספו-- עם אלהי אברהם כי לאלהים מגני-ארץ-- מאד נעלה
