Psalms 41

1 For the leader; for Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Happy are those who consider the weak; in the day of misfortune the Lord will deliver them.

۱ برای سالار مغنیان. مزمور داود خوشابحال کسی‌که برای فقیر تفکرمی کند. خداوند او را در روز بلاخلاصی خواهد داد.

2 He will keep them safe, happy, and long in the land, and not give them up to the rage of their foes.

۲ خداوند او را محافظت خواهد کرد و زنده خواهد داشت. او در زمین مبارک خواهد بود و او را به آرزوی دشمنانش تسلیم نخواهی کرد.

3 The Lord will sustain them on bed of languishing; tending their sickness, as long as they lie.

۳ خداوند او را بر بستربیماری تایید خواهد نمود. تمامی خوابگاه او رادر بیماریش خواهی گسترانید.

4 For this cause I say, ‘Lord, show me your favour; heal me, because I have sinned against you.’

۴ من گفتم: «ای خداوند بر من رحم نما. جان مرا شفا بده زیرا به توگناه ورزیده‌ام.»

5 My enemies speak of me nothing but evil, ‘When will he die, and his name pass away?’

۵ دشمنانم درباره من به بدی سخن می‌گویند که کی بمیرد و نام او گم شود.

6 When one comes to see me, their words ring hollow; their heart keeps gathering mischief the while; and when they go out, they give it speech.

۶ واگر برای دیدن من بیاید، سخن باطل می‌گوید ودلش در خود شرارت را جمع می‌کند. چون بیرون رود آن را شایع می‌کند.

7 In secret they whisper together against me, all those who hate me plot evil against me.

۷ و جمیع خصمانم با یکدیگر بر من نمامی می‌کنند و درباره من بدی می‌اندیشند،

8 ‘Some fatal disease has fastened upon him; and now that he lies, he will rise up no more.’

۸ که «حادثه‌ای مهلک بر او ریخته شده است. و حال که خوابیده است دیگر نخواهدبرخاست.»

9 My most trusted friend, on whom I relied, who ate of my bread, has turned against me.

۹ و آن دوست خالص من که بر اواعتماد می‌داشتم که نان مرا نیز می‌خورد، پاشنه خود را بر من بلند کرد.

10 But do you, Lord, graciously raise me up, that I may pay them their due reward.

۱۰ و اما تو‌ای خداوند بر من رحم فرموده، مرابرپا بدار تا مجازات بدیشان رسانم.

11 By this will I know you delight in me: if my foes may not shout over me in triumph.

۱۱ از این می‌دانم که در من رغبت داری زیرا که دشمنم برمن فخر نمی نماید.

12 For my innocence you uphold me, and set me forever before your face.

۱۲ و مرا به‌سبب کمالم مستحکم نموده‌ای و مرا به حضور خویش دائم قائم خواهی نمود.

13 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting, Amen and Amen.

۱۳ یهوه خدای اسرائیل متبارک باد. از ازل تا به ابد. آمین و آمین.
