Psalms 37
1 Of David. Be not kindled to wrath at the wicked, nor envious of those who work wrong;
| مزمور داود به‌سبب شریران خویشتن را مشوش مساز و بر فتنه انگیزان حسد مبر. | ۱ |
2 for, like grass, they will speedily wither, and fade like the green of young grass.
| زیراکه مثل علف به زودی بریده می‌شوند و مثل علف سبز پژمرده خواهند شد. | ۲ |
3 Trust in the Lord, and do good; remain in the land, and deal faithfully:
| بر خداوند توکل نما و نیکویی بکن. در زمین ساکن باش و از امانت پرورده شو. | ۳ |
4 then the Lord will be your delight, he will grant you your heart’s petitions.
| و در خداوندتمتع ببر، پس مسالت دل تو را به تو خواهد داد. | ۴ |
5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act,
| طریق خود را به خداوند بسپار و بر وی توکل کن که آن را انجام خواهد داد. | ۵ |
6 making clear as the light your right, and your just cause clear as the noon-day.
| و عدالت تو رامثل نور بیرون خواهد آورد و انصاف تو را مانندظهر. | ۶ |
7 In silence and patience wait on the Lord. Be not kindled to anger at those who prosper. At those who execute evil devices.
| نزد خداوند ساکت شو و منتظر او باش واز شخص فرخنده طریق و مرد حیله گر خود رامشوش مساز. | ۷ |
8 Desist from anger, abandon wrath: be not kindled to anger it leads but to evil:
| از غضب برکنار شو و خشم راترک کن. خود را مشوش مساز که البته باعث گناه خواهد شد. | ۸ |
9 for evildoers will be cut off, but the land will be theirs, who wait on the Lord.
| زیرا که شریران منقطع خواهندشد. و اما منتظران خداوند وارث زمین خواهندبود. | ۹ |
10 Yet but a little, and the wicked vanish: look at their place: they are there no more.
| هان بعد از اندک زمانی شریر نخواهد بود. در مکانش تامل خواهی کرد و نخواهد بود. | ۱۰ |
11 But the humble will have the land, and the rapture of peace in abundance.
| واما حلیمان وارث زمین خواهند شد و از فراوانی سلامتی متلذذ خواهند گردید. | ۱۱ |
12 The wicked plots against the righteous, snarls like a wild animal;
| شریر بر مرد عادل شورا می‌کند و دندانهای خود را بر او می‌افشرد. | ۱۲ |
13 the Lord laughs, for he sees that his day is coming.
| خداوند بر او خواهدخندید، زیرا می‌بیند که روز او می‌آید. | ۱۳ |
14 The wicked have drawn the sword, and bent the bow, to fell the poor, to slay those who walk uprightly;
| شریران شمشیر را برهنه کرده و کمان راکشیده‌اند تا مسکین و فقیر را بیندازند وراست روان را مقتول سازند. | ۱۴ |
15 but their sword will pierce their own heart, and their bows will be broken in pieces.
| شمشیر ایشان به دل خود ایشان فرو خواهد رفت و کمانهای ایشان شکسته خواهد شد. | ۱۵ |
16 Better is the righteous person’s little than the wealth of many wicked.
| نعمت اندک یک مردصالح بهتر است، از اندوخته های شریران کثیر. | ۱۶ |
17 For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds the righteous.
| زیرا که بازوهای شریران، شکسته خواهد شد. و اما صالحان را خداوند تایید می‌کند. | ۱۷ |
18 The Lord watches over the days of the blameless, their heritage will continue forever.
| خداوندروزهای کاملان را می‌داند و میراث ایشان خواهدبود تا ابدالاباد. | ۱۸ |
19 They will not be shamed in the evil time, in the days of famine they will be satisfied.
| در زمان بلا خجل نخواهندشد، و در ایام قحط سیر خواهند بود. | ۱۹ |
20 Because the wicked will perish: but the foes of the Lord, like a brand in the oven, will vanish, like smoke they will vanish.
| زیراشریران هلاک می‌شوند و دشمنان خداوند مثل خرمی مرتعها فانی خواهند شد. بلی مثل دخان فانی خواهند گردید. | ۲۰ |
21 The wicked must borrow and cannot pay back, but the righteous is lavish and gives.
| شریر قرض می‌گیرد ووفا نمی کند و اما صالح رحیم و بخشنده است. | ۲۱ |
22 For those blest by the Lord inherit the land, while those whom he curses will be cut off.
| زیرا آنانی که از وی برکت یابند وارث زمین گردند. و اما آنانی که ملعون وی‌اند، منقطع خواهند شد. | ۲۲ |
23 The Lord supports the steps of those with whom he is pleased.
| خداوند قدمهای انسان رامستحکم می‌سازد، و در طریق هایش سرورمی دارد. | ۲۳ |
24 Though they fall, they will not be cast headlong, for the Lord holds their hands.
| اگر‌چه بیفتد افکنده نخواهد شد زیراخداوند دستش را می‌گیرد. | ۲۴ |
25 Never, from youth to age, have I seen the righteous forsaken, or their children begging bread.
| من جوان بودم والان پیر هستم و مرد صالح را هرگز متروک ندیده‌ام و نه نسلش را که گدای نان بشوند. | ۲۵ |
26 They are ever lavishly lending, and their children are fountains of blessing.
| تمامی روز رئوف است و قرض دهنده. وذریت او مبارک خواهند بود. | ۲۶ |
27 Turn away from evil and do good and you will live in the land forever.
| از بدی برکنار شو و نیکویی بکن. پس ساکن خواهی بود تا ابدالاباد. | ۲۷ |
28 For the Lord loves justice, he does not forsake his friends. The unrighteous will be destroyed forever, and the seed of the wicked will be cut off.
| زیرا خداوند انصاف را دوست می‌دارد و مقدسان خود را ترک نخواهدفرمود. ایشان محفوظ خواهند بود تا ابدالاباد. واما نسل شریر منقطع خواهد شد. | ۲۸ |
29 But the land will belong to the righteous, they will live upon it forever,
| صالحان وارث زمین خواهند بود و در آن تا به ابد سکونت خواهند نمود. | ۲۹ |
30 The mouth of the righteous murmurs wisdom, and words of justice are on their tongues.
| دهان صالح حکمت را بیان می‌کند و زبان او انصاف را ذکر می‌نماید. | ۳۰ |
31 The law of their God is in their heart, their steps are never unsteady.
| شریعت خدای وی در دل اوست. پس قدمهایش نخواهد لغزید. | ۳۱ |
32 The wicked watches the righteous, and seeks to put them to death.
| شریر برای صالح کمین می‌کند و قصد قتل وی می‌دارد. | ۳۲ |
33 But the Lord leaves them not in their hand: at their trial they will not be held guilty.
| خداونداو را در دستش ترک نخواهد کرد و چون به داوری آید بر وی فتوا نخواهد داد. | ۳۳ |
34 Wait on the Lord, and observe his way: he will lift you to honour the land will be yours, you will feast your eyes on the doom of the wicked.
| منتظرخداوند باش و طریق او را نگاه دار تا تو را به وراثت زمین برافرازد. چون شریران منقطع شوندآن را خواهی دید. | ۳۴ |
35 I have seen the wicked exultant, lifting themselves like a cedar of Lebanon.
| شریر را دیدم که ظلم پیشه بود و مثل درخت بومی سبز خود را بهر سومی کشید. | ۳۵ |
36 But the moment I passed, they vanished! I sought for them, but they could not be found.
| اما گذشت و اینک نیست گردید و اورا جستجو کردم و یافت نشد. | ۳۶ |
37 Preserve your honour and practise uprightness, for such a person fares well in the end.
| مرد کامل راملاحظه کن و مرد راست را ببین زیرا که عاقبت آن مرد سلامتی است. | ۳۷ |
38 But transgressors will perish together. Cut off are the wicked forever.
| اما خطاکاران جمیع هلاک خواهند گردید و عاقبت شریران منقطع خواهد شد | ۳۸ |
39 The righteous are saved by the Lord, who in time of distress is their refuge:
| و نجات صالحان از خداوند است و در وقت تنگی او قلعه ایشان خواهد بود. | ۳۹ |
40 the Lord helps and rescue them, from the wicked he rescues and saves them, because they take refuge in him.
| وخداوند ایشان را اعانت کرده، نجات خواهد داد. ایشان را از شریران خلاص کرده، خواهد رهانید. زیرا بر او توکل دارند. | ۴۰ |
