< Psalms 33 >

1 Shout for joy in the Lord, you righteous: praise for the upright is seemly.
Zabbuli ya Dawudi. Muyimbire Mukama n’essanyu mmwe abatuukirivu; kisaanira abalongoofu okumutenderezanga.
2 Give thanks to the Lord on the lyre, play to him on a ten-stringed harp.
Mutendereze Mukama n’ennanga, mumukubire ennyimba ku ntongooli ey’enkoba ekkumi.
3 Sing to him a new song, play skilfully and shout merrily.
Mumuyimbire oluyimba oluggya; musune enkoba ze ntongooli n’amagezi nga bwe muyimba mu ddoboozi ery’omwanguka olw’essanyu.
4 For the Lord is straight in his promise; and all that he does is in faithfulness.
Kubanga ekigambo kya Mukama kituufu era kya mazima; mwesigwa mu buli ky’akola.
5 Justice and right he loves; the earth is full of his kindness.
Mukama ayagala obutuukirivu n’obwenkanya. Ensi ejjudde okwagala kwa Mukama okutaggwaawo.
6 By his word the heavens were made, all their host by the breath of his mouth.
Mukama yayogera kigambo, eggulu ne likolebwa; n’assiza omukka mu kamwa ke eggye lyonna ery’omu ggulu ne litondebwa.
7 He gathers the sea in a bottle, the ocean he puts into store-houses.
Yakuŋŋaanya amazzi g’ennyanja mu ntuumu, agayanja n’agasibira mu masitoowa gaago.
8 Let the whole world honour the Lord, let all who live on earth be in awe.
Ensi yonna esaana etyenga Mukama, n’abantu ab’omu mawanga gonna bamussengamu ekitiibwa;
9 For at his word it came into being, at his command it stood forth.
kubanga yayogera bwogezi n’etondebwa, n’alagira n’eyimirira nga nywevu.
10 The Lord frustrates the designs of the nations, what the peoples have purposed, he brings to nought,
Mukama asansulula enteekateeka y’amawanga; alemesa abantu okutuukiriza bye bagenderera.
11 but the Lord’s own design will stand forever, and what his heart has purposed, through all generations.
Naye enteekateeka za Mukama zibeerawo nga nywevu emirembe gyonna; n’ebigendererwa by’omutima gwe bya lubeerera.
12 Happy the nation whose God is the Lord, the people he chose for himself as his own.
Lirina omukisa eggwanga eririna Katonda nga ye Mukama waalyo, ng’abantu baalyo yabalonda babeere bantu be.
13 The Lord looks down from heaven, he sees all of humanity;
Mukama asinziira mu ggulu n’alaba abaana b’abantu bonna;
14 from where he rules he gazes on all who inhabit the earth.
asinziira mu kifo kye mw’abeera n’alaba abantu bonna abali ku nsi.
15 He fashions the hearts of them all, and gives heed to all that they do.
Ye y’ategeka ebirowoozo byabwe bonna ne yeetegereza byonna bye bakola.
16 It is not by great armies that kings are victorious, it is not by great strength that a warrior saves himself;
Tewali kabaka asobola kuwona olw’obunene bw’eggye lye; era tewali mulwanyi ayinza kuwona olw’amaanyi ge amangi.
17 false hope is the war-horse to usher in victory, for all its great might it can provide no escape.
Okusuubira embalaasi yokka okukuwanguza olutalo kuteganira bwerere; newaakubadde erina amaanyi mangi naye tesobola kulokola.
18 See! The eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his kindness;
Naye amaaso ga Mukama galabirira abo abamutya; abalina essuubi mu kwagala kwe okutaggwaawo,
19 to deliver their life from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
abawonya okufa, era abawonya enjala.
20 We wait for the Lord: he is our help and our shield.
Tulindirira Mukama nga tulina essuubi, kubanga ye mubeezi waffe era ye ngabo yaffe.
21 For in him our heart is glad, we trust in his holy name.
Mu ye emitima gyaffe mwe gijaguliza, kubanga twesiga erinnya lye ettukuvu.
22 Let your kindness, O Lord, be upon us, as is our hope in you.
Okwagala kwo okutaggwaawo kubeerenga mu ffe, Ayi Mukama, ng’essuubi lyaffe bwe liri mu ggwe.
