< Psalms 3 >

1 A psalm of David, when he fled from his son Absalom. How many, Lord, are my foes! Those who rise up against me are many.
A psalm of David when fled he from before - Absalom son his. O Yahweh how! they are many opponents my many [people] [are] rising up on me.
2 Many are those who say of me, ‘There is no help for him in his God.’ (Selah)
Many [people] [are] saying of self my there not [is] deliverance for him in God (Selah)
3 But you, Lord, are shield about me, my glory, who lifts up my head.
And you O Yahweh [are] a shield behind me honor my and [the one who] lifts up head my.
4 When loudly I call to the Lord, from his holy hill he gives answer. (Selah)
Voice my to Yahweh I called out and he answered me from [the] mountain of holiness his (Selah)
5 I laid down and slept: now I wake, for the Lord sustains me.
I I lay down and I slept! I awoke for Yahweh he sustains me.
6 I fear not the myriads of people who beset me on every side.
Not I will be afraid from ten thousands of people who all around they have taken a stand on me.
7 Arise, Lord: save me, my God, who strikes all my foes on the cheek, and shatters the teeth of the wicked.
Arise! O Yahweh - save me O God my for you have struck all enemies my jaw [the] teeth of wicked [people] you have broken.
8 Victory belongs to the Lord: let your blessing descend on your people. (Selah)
[belongs] to Yahweh deliverance [is] towards people your blessing your (Selah)
