Hosea 6
1 saying, ‘Come let us return to the Lord, for he has torn us but he will heal us, he has injured us but he will bandage our wounds,
“Kommt und laßt uns zu Jehova umkehren; denn er hat zerrissen und wird uns heilen, er hat geschlagen und wird uns verbinden.
2 he will revive in a couple of days, on the third day he will raise us up again, to live in his presence.
Er wird uns nach zwei Tagen wieder beleben, am dritten Tage uns aufrichten; und so werden wir vor seinem Angesicht leben.
3 Let us know, let us eagerly seek to know the Lord. His coming is as sure as the sunrise. He will come to us like the winter rain, as the spring rain that waters the earth.’
So laßt uns Jehova erkennen, ja, laßt uns trachten nach seiner Erkenntnis! Sein Hervortreten ist sicher wie die Morgendämmerung; und er wird für uns kommen wie der Regen, wie der Spätregen die Erde benetzt.”
4 What can I make of you, Ephraim! What can I make of you, Judah! Your love is like a morning cloud, like the dew which early goes away.
Was soll ich dir tun, Ephraim, was soll ich dir tun, Juda, da eure Frömmigkeit wie die Morgenwolke ist und wie der Tau, der früh verschwindet?
5 That is why I have hewn them by the prophets, I have slain them by the words of my mouth. My judgment is like the light that goes forth,
Darum habe ich sie behauen durch die Propheten, habe sie getötet durch die Worte meines Mundes; und mein Gericht geht hervor wie das Licht.
6 for it is love that I delight in and not sacrifice, and knowledge of God and not burnt offerings.
Denn an Frömmigkeit habe ich Gefallen und nicht am Schlachtopfer, und an der Erkenntnis Gottes mehr als an Brandopfern.
7 But they after the manner of men have transgressed the covenant, there they have played me false.
Sie aber haben den Bund übertreten wie Adam, haben dort treulos gegen mich gehandelt.
8 Gilead is a city of evildoers, tracked with bloody footprints,
Gilead ist eine Stadt von Übeltätern, voll Blutspuren.
9 and as bandits lie in wait for a man, so a band of priests murder on the way to Shechem. How terrible is the evil they do!
Und wie ein Straßenräuber auflauert, so die Rotte der Priester; sie morden auf dem Wege nach Sichem, ja, sie verüben Schandtat.
10 In Bethel I have seen a horrible thing. There Ephraim plays the prostitute, Israel is defiled.
Im Hause Israel habe ich Schauderhaftes gesehen: daselbst ist Ephraims Hurerei, Israel hat sich verunreinigt.
11 Judah for you also a harvest is set. When I would restore the fortunes of my people,
Auch über dich, Juda, ist eine Ernte verhängt, wenn ich die Gefangenschaft meines Volkes wenden werde.
