< Hosea 5 >

1 Hear this, priests! Attend, Israelites! Listen, royal family! For you is the judgment: a snare you have become at Mizpeh, and a net spread out on Tabor,
Inao, ry mpisoroñeo, mitsendreña ry anjomba’ Israeleo, manokilaña ravembia ry anjomba’ i mpanjakay, fa ama’ areo i zakay; amy t’ie fandrik’ amy Mitspà naho harato nalafike ho amy Tabore;
2 the rebels are deep in slaughter, but I will discipline all.
vaho mpiola miheotse t’ie mandenta ndra te nendahako.
3 I know Ephraim, Israel is not hidden from me, for you, Ephraim, have committed prostitution and Israel is defiled.
Fàntako t’i Efraime naho tsy mietak’ amako t’Israele; fa manao hakarapiloan-drehe Efraime, vaho maleotse t’Israele.
4 Their deeds do not permit them to return to their God. For the spirit of prostitution is within them, they do not know the Lord.
Tsy ho safirie’ iareo ty himpoly aman’Añahare’ iareo; fa añivo’ iareo ao ty fañahin-kakarapiloañe, vaho tsy fohi’ iereo t’Iehovà.
5 Israel’s arrogance testifies against them, Israel, even Ephraim, stumble in their sin, and Judah also stumbles with them.
Mitalily an-dahara’e ty fiebotsebora’ Israele; toly ndra hitsikapy an-kakèo t’Israele naho i Efraime; hiharo hihotrak’ am’ iereo ka t’Iehodà.
6 With their sheep and their cattle they will go to seek the Lord but they will not find him, he has withdrawn from them,
Hendese’ iereo ty lia-rai’ iareo naho o mpirai-tro’ iareoo ho paia’ iereo t’Iehovà, fe tsy ho oniñe, fa nisitake.
7 for they have been untrue to the Lord, their children are strangers. Their new moon festivals will soon destroy them and their fields.
Fa niola am’ Iehovà iereo, naho nahatoly anak’amontoñe; aa le habotse’ ty pea-bolañe reke-panañañe.
8 Blow the trumpet in Gibeah, the clarion in Ramah! Raise the alarm in Beth-aven: we are with you, Benjamin!
Tiofo e Gibà i antsivay naho e Ramà i soliy; koiho e Bet’avene ty hankàñe: mitoliha ry Beniamine.
9 Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of punishment, concerning the tribes of Israel I make known what is certain.
Ho koaheñe t’i Efraime amy andro fandilovañey; fa nampahafohineko o fifokoa’ Israeleo ze toe hifetsake.
10 The princes of Israel have become like thieves who move boundary stones. On them I will pour out my wrath like a flood.
Manahake ty mpameve vorovoro o roandria’ Iehodào; hadoandoako am’ iereo hoe rano ty habosehako.
11 Ephraim will be oppressed, crushed by judgment, for they are determined to go after vanity.
Forekekèñe t’i Efraime demok’ an-jaka; ie nañorike haloloañe an-tsatri’e.
12 So I am like a moth to Ephraim, like rottenness to the house of Judah.
Aa le ho bararaok’ amy Efraime raho, naho haloloañe amy anjomba’ Iehodày.
13 For when Ephraim saw their sickness and Israel their wound, Ephraim turned to Assyria, to its patron king. But he cannot heal you nor relieve you of your wound.
Ie nahaoniñe i arete’ey t’i Efraime, naho i fere’ey t’Iehodà, le nihitrike mb’ Asorey mb’eo, naho nisangitrife’e i mpanjaka Iaribey; f’ie tsy hahajangañ’ azo, vaho tsy ho melañe’e i fere’oy.
14 For I myself will be like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the house of Judah. I, yes I, will rend and go my way, I will carry off and none will rescue.
Ho liona amy Efraime raho, naho liona tora’e amy anjomba’ Iehodày; Zaho le Zaho avao ty handrimitse vaho hienga; hinday raho le ia ty haharombake.
15 I will return to my place, until in remorse they seek my presence. When they are in distress they will quickly seek me,
Homb’eo raho himpoly mb’añ’akibako añe, ampara’ t’ie miantoke o hakeo’eo, naho mipay ty tareheko; ie am-poheke ro hitsoek’ahy.
