Esther 2

1 Some time later, when the wrath of King Ahasuerus had subsided, he remembered what Vashti had done and what had been decreed against her.

پاش ئەوەی تووڕەیی ئەحەشوێرۆشی پاشا دامرکایەوە، پاشا ڤەشتی و ڕەفتارەکەی و ئەو بڕیارەی کە لە دژی دەریکرد بەبیری هاتەوە.

2 Then the king’s servants who waited upon him said, ‘Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king,

ئینجا ئەوانەی خزمەتی پاشایان دەکرد پێشنیاریان کرد: «با بگەڕێن بۆ کچانی پاکیزە و ڕوخسار جوان بۆ پاشا،

3 and let the king appoint commissioners to all the provinces of his kingdom to gather them all to Susa the royal residence. Let them be brought into the women’s quarters under the custody of Hegai, the king’s eunuch, who has charge of the women. Then give them what is needed to make them beautiful,

با پاشا بریکار دابنێت لەناو هەموو هەرێمەکانی شانشینەکەیدا تاکو هەموو کچە پاکیزە و جوانەکان لە حەرەمسەرای قەڵای شوش کۆبکەنەوە. با لەژێر سەرپەرشتی هێگەیدا بن، کە کاربەدەستی پاشا و بەرپرسی حەرەمسەراکەیە، هەروەها با بۆنوبەرامیان پێ بدرێت.

4 and let the girl who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti.’ The proposal pleased the king so he put it into action.

ئینجا ئەو کچەش کە پاشا پەسەندی دەکات، با ببێتە شاژن و شوێنی ڤەشتی بگرێتەوە.» پاشا ئەو قسەیەی پێ باش بوو، کاری پێکرد.

5 In Susa the royal residence lived a Jew named Mordecai. He was son of Jair, son of Shimei, son of Kish, a Benjamite.

لەو کاتە لەناو قەڵای شوش پیاوێکی جولەکە هەبوو لە هۆزی بنیامین بوو، ناوی مۆردەخای کوڕی یائیری کوڕی شیمعی کوڕی قیش بوو.

6 (Kish had been carried away from Jerusalem with the exiles who were deported with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon took captive.)

یەکێک بوو لەو ڕاپێچکراوانەی نەبوخودنەسری پاشای بابل لە ئۆرشەلیمەوە ڕاپێچی کردبوون، لەنێو ئەو ڕاپێچکراوانەی یەهۆیاکینی پاشای یەهودایان لەگەڵ بوو.

7 Mordecai had adopted Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle’s daughter, since she had neither father nor mother. The girl was shapely and beautiful; and after her father and mother died, Mordecai raised her as if she was his own daughter.

مۆردەخای ئامۆزایەکی هەبوو بە ناوی هەدەسا، خۆی پەروەردەی کردبوو، چونکە نە باوکی هەبوو نە دایک. ئەم کچە بە ئەستێر ناسراوبوو، کچێکی نازدار و ڕوخسار جوان بوو، پاش مردنی دایک و باوکی مۆردەخای کردییە کچی خۆی.

8 When the king’s command and decree were known, many girls were gathered together to Susa the capital under the custody of Hegai. Esther was also taken into the king’s palace and placed under the custody of Hegai, who had charge of the women.

بە بیستنی فەرمانەکەی پاشا و یاساکەی بۆ کۆکردنەوەی کچانی زۆر لە قەڵای شوش و سپاردنیان بە دەستی هێگەی، ئەستێریش بردرایە کۆشکی پاشا و بە هێگەیی بەرپرسی حەرەمسەرا سپێردرا.

9 The girl pleased him and gained his favour, so that he quickly gave her the cosmetics she needed to enhance her beauty and her allowance of food and the seven maids selected from the king’s household. He also transferred her and her maids to the best place in the harem.

کچە لەبەرچاوی هێگەی پەسەند بوو و بە دڵی بوو. لەبەر ئەوە دەستبەجێ بۆن و کەلوپەلی جوانکاری و خواردنی تایبەتی پێدا. هەروەها حەوت خزمەتکاری هەڵبژێردراوی لە کۆشکی پاشا پێدا، ئینجا ئەو و خزمەتکارەکانی بۆ باشترین شوێنی حەرەمسەرا گواستەوە.

10 Esther had not revealed her people nor her family background because Mordecai had ordered her not to.

ئەستێر هیچی لەبارەی ڕەگەز و ڕەچەڵەکی ئاشکرا نەکرد، چونکە مۆردەخای ڕایسپاردبوو کە ئەوە نەکات.

11 Every day Mordecai would to walk in front of the courtyard of the harem and ask after Esther’s health and what was happening to her.

مۆردەخای هەموو ڕۆژێک لەبەردەم حەوشەی حەرەمسەرا دەهات و دەچوو، بۆ ئەوەی بزانێت ئەستێر چۆنە و ئاگاداربێت لەوەی چی بەسەردێت.

12 The girls were prepared for meeting King Ahasuerus for twelve months: six months being treated with oil of myrrh and six months with perfumes and cosmetics. After the twelve months,

بەگوێرەی یاسای پەیڕەوکراو بۆ ئافرەتان هەر کچێک ساڵێکی تەواوی لە ئاراییشت و ئامادەکاری بەسەردەبرد: شەش مانگ بە زەیتی موڕ، شەش مانگیش بە بۆن و کەرەستەی دیکەی جوانکاری. ئینجا لەدوای ئەوە نۆرەی دەهات بچێتە لای ئەحەشوێرۆشی پاشا.

13 each girl went in to the king. She was allowed to take with her whatever she wished from the women’s quarters,

بەم شێوەیە بۆ لای پاشا دەچوو، هەرچی دەویست پێی دەدرا، بۆ ئەوەی لە حەرەمسەراوە لەگەڵ خۆی بیباتە کۆشکی پاشا.

14 and would enter the palace in the evening and return the next morning to another part of the harem under the care of the king’s eunuch Shaashgaz who was in charge of concubines. She would not go to the king again unless he desired her and summoned her by name.

ئێوارە دەچووە ژوورەوە و بەیانی بۆ بەشێکی دیکەی حەرەمسەرا دەگەڕایەوە، بۆ ژێر سەرپەرشتی شەعەشگەزی کاربەدەستی پاشا و بەرپرسی کەنیزەکان. جارێکی دیکە نەدەچووە ژوورەوە بۆ لای پاشا، تەنها ئەگەر پاشا پێی دڵخۆش بووایە و بە ناوی خۆیەوە بانگی بکردایە.

15 When it was the turn of Esther (the girl adopted by Mordecai, daughter of his uncle Abihail) to go in to the king, she only took with her those things that Hegai, the king’s eunuch in charge of the women, had advised her to take. Esther was liked by all who saw her.

کاتێک نۆرەی ئەستێر هات، کچی ئەبیحەیلی مامی مۆردەخای، ئەوەی مۆردەخای کردییە کچی خۆی، بۆ ئەوەی بچێتە ژوورەوە بۆ لای پاشا، هیچ شتێکی داوا نەکرد جگە لەوەی هێگەیی کاربەدەستی پاشا و بەرپرسی حەرەمسەرا پێشنیاری کردبوو. هەرکەسێکیش ئەستێری ببینیایە دەچووە دڵییەوە.

16 Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus in the royal palace in the tenth month, the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.

ئەستێر لە مانگی دە بردرایە ژوورەوە بۆ لای ئەحەشوێرۆش پاشا لە کۆشکی شاهانە، لە مانگی تێڤێت، لە حەوتەمین ساڵی پاشایەتییەکەی.

17 And the king loved her more than all the other women, and she became his favourite and won his affection. He placed the royal diadem on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.

پاشا ئەستێری لە هەموو ژنەکان زیاتر خۆشویست، لە هەموو پاکیزەکانی دیکە زیاتر پەسەندی کرد و چووە دڵییەوە. تاجی شاهانەی لەسەر سەری دانا و لە شوێنی ڤەشتی کردییە شاژن.

18 Then the king gave a great feast to all his officials and courtiers in honour of Esther, and he remitted the taxes of the provinces and distributed gifts with royal liberality.

ئینجا پاشا خوانێکی گەورەی بۆ هەموو سەرکردە و خزمەتکارەکانی سازکرد وەک رێزگرتنێک لە ئەستێر، پشووی لە هەرێمەکاندا ڕاگەیاند و بەقەد بەخشندەیی پاشا دیاری بەخشرا.

19 All the time the virgins were assembled again, Mordecai was sitting as an offical at the king’s gate.

کاتێک پاکیزەکان بۆ جاری دووەم کۆکرانەوە، مۆردەخای لەلای دەروازەی پاشا دانیشتبوو.

20 Esther had not revealed her people or family background because she still obeyed him as she had when he was bringing her up.

ئەستێریش هەروەک مۆردەخای ڕایسپاردبوو هیچ شتێکی لەبارەی ڕەگەز و ڕەچەڵەکی ئاشکرا نەکردبوو، چونکە ئەستێر هەروەک ئەو ڕۆژانەی مۆردەخای بەخێوی دەکرد بە قسەی ئەو دەجوڵایەوە.

21 In those days while Mordecai was sitting in the king’s gate, two of the royal court attendants, Bigthan and Teresh, who guarded the entrance of the palace, became enraged and attempted to kill King Ahasuerus.

لەو ڕۆژانەدا لە کاتێکدا مۆردەخای لە دەروازەی پاشا دانیشتبوو، بیگتانا و تەرەش کە دوو ئەفسەری پاشا بوون لەو ئەفسەرانەی پاسەوانیێتی دەروازەکەیان دەکرد، تووڕە بوون و پیلانیان گێڕا کە دەستیان بۆ ئەحەشوێرۆش پاشا درێژ بکەن.

22 But Mordecai learned of the conspiracy and disclosed it to Queen Esther, and she told the king on Mordecai’s behalf.

بەڵام مۆردەخای بەو کارەی زانی و بە شاژنە ئەستێری گەیاند، ئەویش بە ناوی مۆردەخایەوە بە پاشای گوت.

23 When the affair was investigated and the facts discovered, the conspirators were both hanged on the gallows. The incident was recorded in the presence of the king in the daily record of events.

کاتێک بابەتەکە لێی کۆڵڕایەوە و زانییان کە ڕاستە، هەردووکیان لە دار دران. ئەو ڕووداوەش لەبەردەم پاشا لە پەڕتووکی کاروباری ڕۆژانە تۆمار کرا.
