< Amos 2 >

1 The Lord says: For Moab’s three crimes – no, four! – I will not rescind my judgment. They have burned to lime the bones of the king of Edom,
Hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà: Ty ami’ty fiolàñe telo’ i Moabe, naho i fahefa’ey le tsy hapoko ty fandilovañe aze, amy te niforototoe’e ho sokay ty taola’ i mpanjaka’ i Edomey;
2 to desecrate the dead. So I will send a fire into Moab. It will devour the palaces of Kirioth, with a war-cry, with the sound of trumpets.
aa le hañitrifako afo t’i Moabe, ze hampangotomomoke o anjomba’ i Kerioteo; le hikoromak’ ami’ty fivalitsikotahañe t’i Moabe, reketse fikoiakoiahañe naho ty fipopò’ i antsivay;
3 I will kill the ruler, all his nobles I will slay with him, says the Lord.
vaho haitoako añivo’e ao i mpizakay, le fonga hatraoko fizamanañe o roandria’eo, hoe t’Iehovà.
4 The Lord says: For Judah’s three crimes – no, four! – I will not rescind my judgment. They have rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept his statutes. Instead their false gods their ancestors followed, have led them astray.
Hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà: Ty ami’ty fiolàñe telo’ Iehoda, naho i fahèfa’ey le tsy hapoko ty fandilovañe aze, amy te tsinambolitio’ iareo o Tsara’ Iehovào naho tsy nambena’ iareo o fañè’eo, vaho nampandilatse iareo ty fandañira’ iareo ie nañaveloan-droae’ iareoo.
5 So I will send a fire on Judah. It will devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
fe hamotraheko afo t’Iehoda, hamorototo o anjomba’ Ierosalaimeo.
6 The Lord says: For Israel’s three crimes – no, four! – I will not rescind my judgment. They sell the righteous for money, the needy for a pair of shoes.
Hoe ty nafè’ Iehovà: Ty ami’ty fiolàñe telo’ Israele, naho i fah’efa’ey le tsy hapoko ty fandilovañe aze, amy te naleta’ iareo ho volafoty o vantañeo, naho ho hana o rarakeo;
7 They trample on the head of the poor, push the humble out of the way. Father and son go to the same temple girl, and so profane my holy name.
Dorodemohe’ iereo ami’ty debo’ ty tane toy ty añambone’ o rarakeo, naho mañolake ty lala’ o mpirekeo; ao ka t’indaty naho ty rae’e songa miolotse ami’ty somondrara raike, haniva ty añarako masiñe.
8 They stretch themselves on garments taken in pledges beside every altar, and they drink the wine of those who have been fined in the house of their God.
Ie màndre añ’ila’ o kitrelio an-tsikiñe tsinoake, vaho minoñe ty divai’ o nandilovañeo an-kibohon-drahare’ iareo ao.
9 It was I who destroyed the Amorites for your sake, whose height was like that of the cedars, as strong as oaks. I destroyed their fruit from above and their roots from below.
F’izaho ty nanjamañe o nte Amoreo aolo’ iareo eo, ie nira ami’ty haabon-tsivokon-tsifake; nanahake o vaovio ty haozara’e; fa rinotsako o voa’e amboneo, naho o vaha’e ambaneo.
10 It was I who brought you up from the land of Egypt, led you forty years in the wilderness, brought you here to possess the land of the Amorites.
Ie nakareko an-tane Mitsraime ao ka, naho niaoloako efa-polo taoñe am-pirangañe i fatrambeiy, soa te hanaña’ areo ty tane’ o nte Amoreo.
11 I raised up some of your sons to be prophets some of your youths to be Nazirites. Is not this indeed so, Israelites? says the Lord.
Mbore nibeizeko ho mpitoky ty ila’ o ana’ areoo, naho ho nte Nazire ty ila’e, tsy to hao zay, ry ana’ Israeleo? hoe t’Iehovà.
12 But you made the Nazirites drink wine and banned the prophets from prophesying.
Fa nazi’ areo o nte Nazireo ty hinoñe divay, vaho linili’o o mpitokio ami’ty hoe: Ko mitoky.
13 Listen! It is I who will make you groan in your places, as a wagon groans under its load of grain.
Inao t’ie ho tindrieko ambane manahake ty fanindrian-tsarete pea ampemba.
14 Then flight will fail the swift, and the strength of the strongest will be useless. The warrior will not save his life,
Hilesa ty fivoratsaha’ o malisao, naho tsy hitoloñe ty haozara’ o fatratseo vaho tsy haharomba-piaiñe ty fanalolahy,
15 the archer will not stand firm, the swift of foot will not escape, the horseman will not save his life.
mbore tsy hahafijohañe ty mpitàm-pale; naho tsy hahafioratse ty mahafilay am-pandia, naho tsy haharombak’aiñe ty mpiningi-tsoavala;
16 The bravest of warriors will flee away naked in that day, says the Lord.
vaho hitriban-day tsy an-tsaroñe ty lahi-tsi-ai’ o fanalolahio, hoe t’Iehovà.
