1 Timothy 6

1 All who are in the position of slaves should regard their masters as deserving of the greatest respect, so that the name of God, and our teaching, may not be maligned.

۱ آنانی که غلامان زیر یوغ می‌باشند، آقایان خویش را لایق کمال احترام بدانند که مبادانام و تعلیم خدا بد گفته شود.

2 Those who have Christian masters should not think less of them because they are also followers of Christ, but on the contrary they should serve them all the better, because those who are to benefit by their good work are dear to them as their fellow Christians.

۲ اما کسانی که آقایان مومن دارند، ایشان را تحقیر ننمایند، ازآنجا که برادرانند بلکه بیشتر خدمت کنند از آنروکه آنانی که در این احسان مشارکند، مومن ومحبوبند.

3 Anyone who teaches otherwise, and refuses their assent to sound instruction – the instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ – and to the teaching of religion,

۳ و اگرکسی بطور دیگر تعلیم دهد و کلام صحیح خداوند ما عیسی مسیح و آن تعلیمی را که به طریق دینداری است قبول ننماید،

4 is puffed up with conceit, not really knowing anything, but having a morbid craving for discussions and arguments. Such things only give rise to envy, quarrelling, recriminations, base suspicions,

۴ از غرورمست شده، هیچ نمی داند بلکه در مباحثات ومجادلات دیوانه گشته است که از آنها پدیدمی آید حسد و نزاع و کفر و ظنون شر

5 and incessant wrangling on the part of these corrupt-minded people who have lost all hold on the truth, and who think of religion only as a source of gain.

۵ و منازعات مردم فاسدالعقل و مرتد از حق که می‌پندارند دینداری سود است. از چنین اشخاص اعراض نما.

6 Of course religion is a great source of gain – when combined with contentment!

۶ لیکن دینداری با قناعت سود عظیمی است.

7 For we brought nothing into the world, because we cannot even carry anything out of it.

۷ زیرا که در این دنیا هیچ نیاوردیم و واضح است که از آن هیچ نمی توانیم برد.

8 So, with food and shelter, we will be content.

۸ پس اگر خوراک وپوشاک داریم، به آنها قانع خواهیم بود.

9 Those who want to be rich fall into the net of temptation, and become the prey of many foolish and harmful ambitions, which plunge people into destruction and ruin.

۹ اماآنانی که می‌خواهند دولتمند شوند، گرفتارمی شوند در تجربه و دام و انواع شهوات بی‌فهم ومضر که مردم را به تباهی و هلاکت غرق می‌سازند.

10 Love of money is a source of all kinds of evil; and in their eagerness to be rich some have wandered away from the faith, and have been pierced to the heart by many a regret.

۱۰ زیرا که طمع ریشه همه بدیهااست که بعضی چون در‌پی آن می‌کوشیدند، ازایمان گمراه گشته، خود را به اقسام دردهاسفتند.

11 But you must, servant of God, avoid all this. Aim at righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, gentleness.

۱۱ ولی تو‌ای مرد خدا، از اینها بگریز وعدالت و دینداری و ایمان و محبت و صبر وتواضع را پیروی نما.

12 Run the great race of the faith, and win the eternal life. It was for this that you received the call, and, in the presence of many witnesses, made the great profession of faith. (aiōnios g166)

۱۲ و جنگ نیکوی ایمان رابکن و بدست آور آن حیات جاودانی را که برای آن دعوت شدی و اعتراف نیکو کردی در حضورگواهان بسیار. (aiōnios g166)

13 I beg you, as in the sight of God, the source of all life, and of Christ Jesus who before Pontius Pilate made the great profession of faith –

۱۳ تو را وصیت می‌کنم به حضور آن خدایی که همه را زندگی می‌بخشد و مسیح عیسی که در‌پیش پنطیوس پیلاطس اعتراف نیکونمود،

14 I implore you to keep his command free from stain or reproach, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.

۱۴ که تو وصیت را بی‌داغ و ملامت حفظکن تا به ظهور خداوند ما عیسی مسیح.

15 This will be brought about in his own time by the one ever-blessed Potentate, the king of all kings and Lord of all lords,

۱۵ که آن را آن متبارک و قادر وحید و ملک الملوک ورب‌الارباب در زمان معین به ظهور خواهد آورد.

16 who alone is possessed of immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or ever can see – to whom be ascribed honour and power for ever. Amen. (aiōnios g166)

۱۶ که تنها لایموت و ساکن در نوری است که نزدیک آن نتوان شد و احدی از انسان او را ندیده و نمی تواند دید. او را تا ابدالاباد اکرام و قدرت باد. آمین. (aiōnios g166)

17 Teach those who are wealthy in this life not to pride themselves, or fix their hopes, on so uncertain a thing as wealth, but on God, who gives us a wealth of enjoyment on every side. (aiōn g165)

۱۷ دولتمندان این جهان را امر فرما که بلندپروازی نکنند و به دولت ناپایدار امید ندارند، بلکه به خدای زنده که همه‌چیز را دولتمندانه برای تمتع به ما عطا می‌کند؛ (aiōn g165)

18 Teach them to show kindness, to exhibit a wealth of good actions, to be open-handed and generous,

۱۸ که نیکوکار بوده، در اعمال صالحه دولتمند و سخی و گشاده‌دست باشند؛

19 storing up for themselves what in the future will prove to be a good foundation, so that they may gain the only true life.

۱۹ و برای خود اساس نیکو بجهت عالم آینده نهند تا حیات جاودانی را بدست آرند.

20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to you. Avoid the profane prattle and contradictions of what some miscall “theology,”

۲۰ ‌ای تیموتاوس تو آن امانت را محفوظ دار واز بیهوده‌گویی های حرام و از مباحثات معرفت دروغ اعراض نما،

21 for there are those who, while asserting their proficiency in it, have yet, as regards the faith, gone altogether astray. God bless you all.

۲۱ که بعضی چون ادعای آن کردند از ایمان منحرف گشتند. فیض با تو باد. آمین.
