Psalms 83
1 God, don’t keep silent. Don’t keep silent, and don’t be still, God.
Cântico e Salmo de Asafe: Deus, não fiques em silêncio; não estejas indiferente, nem fiques quieto, ó Deus.
2 For, behold, your enemies are stirred up. Those who hate you have lifted up their heads.
Porque eis que teus inimigos fazem barulho, e aqueles que te odeiam levantam a cabeça.
3 They conspire with cunning against your people. They plot against your cherished ones.
Planejam astutos conselhos contra teu povo, e se reúnem para tramar contra teus preciosos.
4 “Come,” they say, “let’s destroy them as a nation, that the name of Israel [God prevails] may be remembered no more.”
Eles disseram: Vinde, e os destruamos, para que não sejam mais um povo, e nunca mais seja lembrado o nome de Israel.
5 For they have conspired together with one mind. They form an alliance against you.
Porque tomaram conselhos com uma só intenção; fizeram aliança contra ti:
6 The tents of Edom [Red] and the Ishmaelites [Pays attention God]; Moab [From father], and the Hagrites;
As tendas de Edom, e dos ismaelitas, de Moabe, e dos agarenos;
7 Gebal, Ammon [Tribal people], and Amalek [Man who licks up]; Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
De Gebal, e de Amom, e de Amaleque; dos filisteus, com os moradores de Tiro.
8 Assyria [Level plain] also is joined with them. They have helped the children of Lot [Veil, Covering]. (Selah) ·contemplation with musical interlude·.
A Assíria também se aliou a eles; eles foram a força dos filhos de Ló. (Selá)
9 Do to them as you did to Midian [Strife], as to Sisera, as to Jabin, at the river Kishon;

10 who perished at Endor, who became as dung for the earth.
[Que] pereceram em Endor; vieram a ser esterco da terra.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb; yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna;
Faze a eles [e] a seus nobres como a Orebe, e como Zeebe; e a todos os seus príncipes como a Zebá, e como a Zalmuna,
12 who said, “Let us take possession of God’s pasture lands.”
Que disseram: Tomemos posse para nós dos terrenos de Deus.
13 My God, make them like tumbleweed; like chaff before the wind.
Deus meu, faze-os como a um redemoinho, como a palhas perante o vento;
14 As the fire that burns the forest, as the flame that sets the mountains on fire,
Como o fogo, que queima uma floresta, e como a labareda que incendeia as montanhas.
15 so pursue them with your tempest, and terrify them with your storm.
Persegue-os assim com tua tempestade, e assombra-os com o teu forte vento.
16 Fill their faces with confusion, that they may seek your name, Adonai.
Enche os rostos deles de vergonha, para que busquem o teu nome, SENHOR.
17 Let them be disappointed and dismayed forever. Yes, let them be confounded and perish;
Sejam envergonhados e assombrados para sempre, e sejam humilhados, e pereçam.
18 that they may know that you alone, whose name is Adonai, are haElyon [the Most High] over all the earth.
Para que saibam que tu, (e teu nome é EU-SOU), és o Altíssimo sobre toda a terra.
