< Psalms 111 >

1 Halleluyah ·praise Yah·! I will yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to Adonai with my whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the congregation.
Alleluia. Confitebor tibi Domine in toto corde meo: in consilio iustorum, et congregatione.
2 Adonai’s works are great, pondered by all those who delight in them.
Magna opera Domini: exquisita in omnes voluntates eius.
3 His work is honor and majesty. His righteousness endures forever.
Confessio et magnificentia opus eius: et iustitia eius manet in saeculum saeculi.
4 He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Adonai is gracious and merciful.
Memoriam fecit mirabilium suorum, misericors et miserator Dominus:
5 He has given food to those who fear him. He always remembers his covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties·.
escam dedit timentibus se. Memor erit in saeculum testamenti sui:
6 He has shown his people the power of his works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.
virtutem operum suorum annunciabit populo suo:
7 The works of his hands are truth and mishpat ·justice·. All his precepts are sure.
Ut det illis hereditatem gentium: opera manuum eius veritas, et iudicium.
8 They are established forever and ever. They are done in truth and uprightness.
Fidelia omnia mandata eius: confirmata in saeculum saeculi, facta in veritate et aequitate.
9 He has sent redemption to his people. He has enjoined his covenant forever. His name is holy and awesome!
Redemptionem misit populo suo: mandavit in aeternum testamentum suum. Sanctum, et terribile nomen eius:
10 The fear of Adonai is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His tehilah ·praise song· endures forever!
initium sapientiae timor Domini. Intellectus bonus omnibus facientibus eum: laudatio eius manet in saeculum saeculi.
