Numbers 27
1 Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh [Causing to forget], of the families of Manasseh [Causing to forget] the son of Joseph [May he add] came near. These are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah [Rest], and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Tirzah.
E chegaram as filhas de Selofad, filho de Hepher, filho de Gilead, filho de Machir, filho de Manasseh, entre as famílias de Manasseh, filho de José: (e estes são os nomes de suas filhas: Machla, Noa, Hogla, Milca, e Tirza);
2 They stood before Moses [Drawn out], and before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before the princes and all the congregation, at the door of the Tent of Meeting, saying,
E puseram-se diante de Moisés, e diante de Eleazar, o sacerdote, e diante dos príncipes e de toda a congregação, à porta da tenda da congregação, dizendo:
3 “Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against Adonai in the company of Korach [Bald one, Frost], but he died in his own sin. He had no sons.
Nosso pai morreu no deserto, e não estava entre a congregação dos que se congregaram contra o Senhor na congregação de Coré: mas morreu no seu próprio pecado, e não teve filhos
4 Why should the name of our father be taken away from among his family, because he had no son? Give to us a possession among the brothers of our father.”
Porque se tiraria o nome de nosso pai do meio da sua família, porquanto não teve filhos? dá-nos possessão entre os irmãos de nosso pai
5 Moses [Drawn out] brought their mishpat ·case· before Adonai.
E Moisés levou a sua causa perante o Senhor.
6 Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], saying,
E falou o Senhor a Moisés, dizendo:
7 “The daughters of Zelophehad speak right. You shall surely give them a possession of an inheritance among their father’s brothers. You shall cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.
As filhas de Selofad falam retamente: certamente lhes darás possessão de herança entre os irmãos de seu pai; e a herança de seu pai farás passar a elas
8 You shall speak to the children of Israel [God prevails], saying, ‘If a man dies, and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.
E falarás aos filhos de Israel, dizendo: Quando alguém morrer, e não tiver filho, então fareis passar a sua herança a sua filha.
9 If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.
E, se não tiver filha, então a sua herança dareis a seus irmãos.
10 If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father’s brothers.
Porém, se não tiver irmãos, então dareis a sua herança aos irmãos de seu pai.
11 If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman who is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it. This shall be a statute and judgement for the children of Israel [God prevails], as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].’”
Se também seu pai não tiver irmãos, então a sua herança dareis a seu parente, àquele que lhe for o mais chegado da sua família, para que a possua: isto aos filhos de Israel será por estatuto de direito, como o Senhor ordenou a Moisés
12 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Go up into this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel [God prevails].
Depois disse o Senhor a Moisés: Sobe a este monte de Abarim, e vê a terra que tenho dado aos filhos de Israel.
13 When you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron [Light-bringer] your brother was gathered;
E, havendo-a visto, então serás recolhido aos teus povos, assim tu como foi recolhido teu irmão Aarão:
14 because in the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against my word in the wilderness of Zin, to honor me as holy at the waters before their eyes.” (These are the waters of Meribah [Quarreling] of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)
Porquanto rebeldes fostes no deserto de Zin, na contenda da congregação, ao meu mandado de me santificar nas águas diante dos seus olhos: (estas são as águas de Meribah de Cades, no deserto de Zin.)
15 Moses [Drawn out] spoke to Adonai, saying,
Então falou Moisés ao Senhor, dizendo:
16 “Let Adonai, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,
O Senhor, Deus dos espíritos de toda a carne, ponha um homem sobre esta congregação,
17 who may go out before them, and who may come in before them, and who may lead them out, and who may bring them in; that the congregation of Adonai not be as sheep which have no shepherd.”
Que saia diante deles, e que entre diante deles, e que os faça sair, e que os faça entrar: para que a congregação do Senhor não seja como ovelhas que não tem pastor.
18 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Take Joshua [Salvation Yah] the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him.
Então disse o Senhor a Moisés: Toma para ti a Josué, filho de Nun, homem em quem há o espírito, e põe a tua mão sobre ele
19 Set him before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before all the congregation; and enjoin him in their sight.
E apresenta-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação, e dá-lhe mandamentos aos olhos deles.
20 You shall give authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] may obey.
E põe sobre ele da tua glória, para que obedeça toda a congregação dos filhos de Israel.
21 He shall stand before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgments of the Urim before Adonai. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel [God prevails] with him, even all the congregation.”
E se porá perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, o qual por ele consultará, segundo o juízo de Urim, perante o Senhor: conforme ao seu dito sairão, e conforme ao seu dito entrarão, ele e todos os filhos de Israel com ele, e toda a congregação.
22 Moses [Drawn out] did as Adonai enjoined him. He took Joshua [Salvation Yah], and set him before Eleazar [Help of God] the priest, and before all the congregation.
E fez Moisés como o Senhor lhe ordenara: porque tomou a Josué, e apresentou-o perante Eleazar, o sacerdote, e perante toda a congregação:
23 He laid his hands on him, and enjoined him, as Adonai spoke by Moses [Drawn out].
E sobre ele pôs as suas mãos, e lhe deu mandamentos, como o Senhor ordenara pela mão de Moisés.
