Mark 15
1 Immediately in the morning the chief priests, with the elders and Torah-Teachers, and the whole council, held a consultation, and bound Yeshua [Salvation], and carried him away, and delivered him up to Pilate [Armed with javelin].
Ngay sáng hôm sau, các thầy trưởng tế, các trưởng lão, các thầy dạy luật, và cả Hội Đồng Quốc Gia họp nhau thảo luận. Họ trói Chúa Giê-xu lại và giải Ngài qua Phi-lát, tổng trấn La Mã.
2 Pilate [Armed with javelin] asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews [Praisers]?” He answered, “So you say.”
Phi-lát hỏi Chúa: “Anh có phải là Vua người Do Thái không?” Chúa Giê-xu đáp: “Phải.”
3 The chief priests accused him of many things.
Các thầy trưởng tế tố cáo Ngài nhiều tội.
4 Pilate [Armed with javelin] again asked him, “Have you no answer? See how many things they testify against you!”
Phi-lát hỏi Chúa: “Anh không trả lời gì hết sao? Người ta tố cáo anh đủ điều đó!”
5 But Yeshua [Salvation] made no further answer, so that Pilate [Armed with javelin] marveled.
Chúa Giê-xu vẫn không đáp, khiến Phi-lát rất ngạc nhiên.
6 Now at the feast he used to release to them one prisoner, whom they asked of him.
Hằng năm đến lễ Vượt Qua, Phi-lát có lệ phóng thích một người tù theo thỉnh nguyện của dân chúng.
7 There was one called Bar-Abba [Son Father], bound with his fellow insurgents, men who in the insurrection had committed murder.
Năm ấy có Ba-ra-ba bị giam trong ngục cùng một số phạm nhân can tội cố sát, nhân cuộc nổi dậy chống chính quyền La Mã.
8 The multitude, crying aloud, began to ask him to do as he always did for them.
Dân chúng kéo đến xin Phi-lát phóng thích một người tù theo thông lệ.
9 Pilate [Armed with javelin] answered them, saying, “Do you want me to release to you the King of the Jews [Praisers]?”
Phi-lát hỏi: “Các anh muốn ta tha Vua người Do Thái không?”
10 For he perceived that for envy the chief priests had delivered him up.
Vì Phi-lát biết rõ các thầy trưởng tế bắt Chúa nộp cho ông chỉ vì lòng ganh ghét.
11 But the chief priests stirred up the multitude, that he should release Bar-Abba [Son Father] to them instead.
Nhưng các thầy trưởng tế sách động quần chúng yêu cầu Phi-lát phóng thích Ba-ra-ba.
12 Pilate [Armed with javelin] again asked them, “What then should I do to him whom you call the King of the Jews [Praisers]?”
Phi-lát hỏi lại: “Còn người các anh gọi là Vua người Do Thái, ta phải xử sao đây?”
13 They cried out again, “Crucify him!”
Họ hét lớn: “Đóng đinh nó trên cây thập tự!”
14 Pilate [Armed with javelin] said to them, “Why, what evil has he done?” But they cried out exceedingly, “Crucify him!”
Phi-lát hỏi: “Tại sao? Người ấy có tội gì đâu?” Nhưng họ gầm thét: “Đóng đinh hắn trên cây thập tự!”
15 Pilate [Armed with javelin], wishing to please the multitude, released Bar-Abba [Son Father] to them, and handed over Yeshua [Salvation], when he had flogged him, to be nailed to the execution-stake.
Để mua chuộc lòng dân, Phi-lát phóng thích Ba-ra-ba cho họ, đồng thời sai đánh Chúa Giê-xu rồi giao cho lính đem đóng đinh trên cây thập tự.
16 The soldiers led him away within the court, which is the Praetorium; and they called together the whole cohort.
Quân lính giải Chúa vào dinh tổng trấn, rồi tập họp cả đại đội.
17 They clothed him with purple, and weaving a crown of thorns, they put it on him.
Chúng mặc cho Ngài tấm áo màu tía, bện chiếc mão bằng gai đội lên đầu Ngài.
18 They began to salute him, “Hail, King of the Jews [Praisers]!”
Chúng giả vờ chào: “Lạy Vua người Do Thái!”
19 They struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and bowing their knees, did homage to him.
Rồi lấy gậy sậy đập lên đầu Chúa, khạc nhổ vào mặt Chúa, và quỳ gối lạy.
20 When they had mocked him, they took the purple off of him, and put his own garments on him. They led him out to crucify him.
Chế giễu xong, chúng cởi áo màu tía ra, mặc áo dài lại cho Chúa, rồi dẫn Ngài đi đóng đinh trên cây thập tự.
21 They compelled one passing by, coming from the country, Simeon [Hearing] of Cyrene, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to go with them, that he might bear his execution-stake.
Si-môn, người xứ Ly-bi, vừa từ thôn quê lên Giê-ru-sa-lem, bị bọn lính bắt vác cây thập tự cho Chúa Giê-xu. (Si-môn là cha của A-lét-xan-đơ và Ru-phu).
22 They brought him to the place called Golgotha, which means, “The place of a skull.”
Bọn lính giải Chúa lên đồi Gô-gô-tha (nghĩa là Đồi Sọ).
23 They offered him wine mixed with myrrh to drink, but he didn’t take it.
Chúng cho Ngài uống rượu pha với chất nhựa thơm, nhưng Ngài không uống.
24 Crucifying him, they parted his garments among them, casting lots on them, what each should take.
Bọn lính đóng đinh Chúa trên cây thập tự. Chúng gieo súc sắc chia nhau bộ áo của Ngài, mỗi người lãnh một phần.
25 It was nine in the morning when they nailed him to the stake.
Chúa bị đóng đinh vào khoảng chín giờ sáng.
26 The superscription of his accusation was written over him, “The King of the Jews [Praisers].”
Tấm bảng tội trạng ghi mấy chữ: “Vua người Do Thái.”
27 With him they executed on the stake two robbers; one on his right hand, and one on his left.
Bọn lính cũng đóng đinh hai tướng cướp trên cây thập tự, một tên bên phải, một tên bên trái Chúa.
28 The Scripture was fulfilled, which says, “He was counted with transgressors.”
Việc xảy ra đúng như lời tiên tri trong Thánh Kinh: “Ngài bị kể vào hàng phạm nhân.”
29 Those who passed by blasphemed him, wagging their heads, and saying, “Ha! You who destroy the temple, and build it in three days,
Khách qua đường lắc đầu, sỉ nhục Chúa: “Ha! Anh đòi phá nát Đền Thờ rồi xây lại trong ba ngày!
30 save yourself, and come down from the execution-stake!”
Sao không tự giải cứu và xuống khỏi cây thập tự đi!”
31 Likewise, also the chief priests mocking among themselves with the Torah-Teachers said, “He saved others. He can’t save himself.
Các thầy trưởng tế và các thầy dạy luật cũng chế nhạo: “Hắn cứu người khác giỏi lắm mà cứu mình không nổi!
32 Let the Messiah [Anointed one], the Melek Isra'el [King of God prevails], now come down from the execution-stake, that we may see and believe him.” Those who were placed on execution-stakes with him also insulted him.
Này, Đấng Mết-si-a, Vua người Do Thái! Phải xuống khỏi cây thập tự cho chúng tôi thấy, chúng tôi mới tin chứ!” Hai tên cướp bị đóng đinh với Chúa cũng sỉ nhục Ngài.
33 At noon, there was darkness over the whole land until three o'clock in the afternoon.
Lúc giữa trưa, khắp đất đều tối đen như mực cho đến ba giờ chiều.
34 At three, Yeshua [Salvation] cried with a loud voice, saying, “Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”
Đúng ba giờ, Chúa Giê-xu kêu lớn: “Ê-li, Ê-li, la-ma-sa-bách-ta-ni” nghĩa là “Đức Chúa Trời ơi! Đức Chúa Trời ơi! Sao Ngài lìa bỏ Con?”
35 Some of those who stood by, when they heard it, said, “Behold, he is calling Elijah [My God Yah].”
Nghe tiếng kêu, mấy người đứng gần bảo: “Này, hắn gọi Ê-li!”
36 One ran, and filling a sponge full of vinegar, put it on a reed, and gave it to him to drink, saying, “Let him be. Let’s see whether Elijah [My God Yah] comes to take him down.”
Một người chạy đi lấy bông đá tẩm rượu chua, buộc vào đầu cây sậy đưa lên cho Chúa nhấm, và nói: “Để chờ xem Ê-li có đến đem hắn xuống không!”
37 Yeshua [Salvation] cried out with a loud voice, and gave up the spirit.
Chúa Giê-xu kêu lên một tiếng lớn, rồi tắt thở.
38 The veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom.
Bức màn trong Đền Thờ bị xé làm đôi từ trên xuống dưới.
39 When the centurion, who stood by opposite him, saw that he cried out like this and breathed his last, he said, “Truly this man was the Ben-Elohim ·Son of Elohim God·!”
Viên đội trưởng La Mã đứng trước cây thập tự, thấy Chúa qua đời như thế, liền nhìn nhận: “Người này đúng là Con Đức Chúa Trời!”
40 There were also women watching from afar, among whom were both Mary of Magdala [Rebellion of City tower], and Mary [Rebellion] the mother of James [Surplanter] the less and of Joses, and Salome;
Một số phụ nữ nhìn từ xa. Trong số đó có Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len, Ma-ri (mẹ Gia-cơ nhỏ và Giô-sép), cùng Sa-lô-mê.
41 who, when he was in Galilee [District, Circuit], followed him, and served him; and many other women who came up with him to Jerusalem [City of peace].
Khi Chúa còn ở Ga-li-lê, họ đã cùng nhiều phụ nữ khác đi theo phục vụ Ngài. Họ mới theo Chúa lên Giê-ru-sa-lem để dự lễ Vượt Qua.
42 When evening had now come, because it was the Preparation Day (Nissan 14), that is, the day before the festival Sabbath ·To cease·,
Hôm đó, nhằm ngày thứ Sáu, là ngày chuẩn bị, trước ngày Sa-bát. Đến chiều tối,
43 Joseph [May he add] of Arimathaea [May he add of Lofty place], a prominent council member who also himself was looking for God’s Kingdom, came. He boldly went in to Pilate [Armed with javelin], and asked for Yeshua [Salvation]'s body.
Giô-sép, người A-ri-ma-thê, một nhân viên có uy tín trong Hội Đồng Quốc Gia, từng trông đợi Nước của Đức Chúa Trời, đã bạo dạn đến xin Phi-lát cho lãnh xác Chúa Giê-xu.
44 Pilate [Armed with javelin] marveled if he were already dead; and summoning the centurion, he asked him whether he had been dead long.
Phi-lát không tin Chúa Giê-xu đã chết, nên gọi viên đại đội trưởng đến phối kiểm.
45 When he found out from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph [May he add].
Khi viên sĩ quan xác nhận Chúa Giê-xu đã tắt hơi, Phi-lát cho phép Giô-sép được lãnh xác Ngài.
46 He bought a linen cloth, and taking him down, wound him in the linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb which had been cut out of a rock. He rolled a stone against the door of the tomb.
Giô-sép mua một cây vải gai, gỡ xác Chúa Giê-xu xuống khâm liệm, chôn trong huyệt đá đục bên sườn núi, rồi lăn một tảng đá lớn chặn trước cửa mộ.
47 Mary of Magdala [Rebellion of City tower] and Mary [Rebellion], the mother of Joses, saw where he was laid.
Ma-ri Ma-đơ-len và Ma-ri, mẹ Giô-sép theo dõi nên biết nơi an táng Chúa Giê-xu.
