< Luke 12 >

1 Meanwhile, when a multitude of many thousands had gathered together, so much so that they trampled on each other, he began to tell his disciples first of all, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees [Separated], which is hypocrisy.
Zvichakadaro makumi ezvuru zvechaunga akati aungana, zvekuti vaitsikana, akatanga kutaura kuvadzidzi vake pakutanga achiti: Imwi chenjerai mbiriso yeVaFarisi, inova unyepedzeri.
2 But there is nothing covered up, that will not be revealed, nor hidden, that will not be known.
Uye hakuna chinhu chakafukidzwa, chisingazopenengurwi, nechakavigwa, chisingazozikanwi.
3 Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light. What you have spoken in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.
Naizvozvo zvese zvamakataura murima zvichanzwikwa muchiedza; neizvo zvamakataura munzeve mudzimba dzemukati zvichaparidzwa pamusoro pematenga edzimba.
4 “I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
Uye ndinoti kwamuri shamwari dzangu: Musatya vanouraya muviri, asi shure kweizvozvo vasingazogoni kuita chimwe chinhu.
5 But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna (Place of fiery torment for the dead). Yes, I tell you, fear him. (Geenna g1067)
Asi ndichakuratidzai wamunofanira kutya: Ityai iye anoti shure kwekuuraya ane simba rekukanda mugehena; hongu, ndinoti kwamuri: Ityai iye. (Geenna g1067)
6 “Are not five sparrows sold for two assaria coins (a trivial cost)? Not one of them is forgotten by God.
Ko tushiri tushanu hatutengeswi nemakobiri maviri here? Hakuna kamwe kadzo kanokanganikwa pamberi paMwari.
7 But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows.
Asi kunyange nevhudzi remusoro wenyu rakaverengwa rese. Musatya naizvozvo, munopfuura tushiri tuzhinji.
8 “I tell you, everyone who confesses me before men, him will the Son of Man also confess before the angels of God;
Ndinotiwo kwamuri: Umwe neumwe anondibvuma pamberi pevanhu, Mwanakomana wemunhu achamubvumawo pamberi pevatumwa vaMwari;
9 but he who denies me in the presence of men will be denied in the presence of the angels of God.
asi anondiramba pamberi pevanhu, acharambwa pamberi pevatumwa vaMwari.
10 Everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but those who blaspheme against Ruach haKodesh [Spirit of the Holiness] will not be forgiven.
Uye umwe neumwe anoreva shoko achipikisa Mwanakomana wemunhu, achakanganwirwa; asi uyo anonyomba Mweya Mutsvene haazokanganwirwi.
11 When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, don’t be anxious how or what you will answer, or what you will say;
Kana vachikuisai kumasinagoge nevatongi nevane simba, musafunganya kuti muchapindura sei kana chii, kana muchataurei;
12 for Ruach haKodesh [Spirit of the Holiness] will teach you in that same hour what you must say.”
nokuti Mweya Mutsvene achakudzidzisai neawa iro zvamunofanira kutaura.
13 One of the multitude said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.”
Zvino umwe wechaunga wakati kwaari: Mudzidzisi, udzai mwanakomana wamai vangu agovane nhaka neni.
14 But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or an arbitrator over you?”
Asi wakati kwaari: Iwe munhu, ndiani wakandigadza kuva mutongi kana mugoveri pamusoro penyu?
15 He said to them, “Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life does not consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses.”
Akati kwavari: Ngwarirai muchenjerere ruchiva, nokuti upenyu hwemunhu hahusi mukuwanda kwezvinhu zvaanazvo.
16 He spoke a parable to them, saying, “The ground of a certain rich man produced abundantly.
Akataura mufananidzo kwavari, achiti: Munda weumwe munhu mufumi wakabereka kwazvo;
17 He reasoned within himself, saying, ‘What will I do, because I don’t have room to store my crops?’
akafunga mukati make, achiti: Ndichaitei? Nokuti handina nzvimbo pandingaunganidzira zvibereko zvangu.
18 He said, ‘This is what I will do. I will pull down my barns, and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods.
Ndokuti: Ndichaita izvi: Ndichaputsa matura angu, ndivake makuru, ndiunganidzire zvirimwa zvangu zvese ipapo, nenhumbi dzangu,
19 I will tell my soul, “Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take your ease, eat, drink, be merry.”’
ndigoti kumweya wangu: Mweya, une zvinhu zvakawanda zvakanaka, zvakachengeterwa makore mazhinji; zorora, idya, inwa, fara.
20 “But God said to him, ‘You foolish one, tonight your soul is required of you. The things which you have prepared— whose will they be?’
Asi Mwari akati kwaari: Dununu, usiku huno mweya wako uchadikanwa kubva kwauri; ko izvo zvawagadzirira, zvichava zvaani?
21 So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
Zvakadaro kune anozviunganidzira fuma, asi asina kufuma kuna Mwari.
22 He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life, what you will eat, nor yet for your body, what you will wear.
Zvino wakati kuvadzidzi vake: Naizvozvo ndinoti kwamuri: Musafunganya pamusoro peupenyu hwenyu, kuti muchadyei; kana muviri, kuti muchapfekei.
23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
Upenyu hunopfuura kudya, nemuviri zvipfeko.
24 Consider the ravens: they don’t sow, they don’t reap, they have no warehouse or barn, and God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds!
Fungai makunguvo, kuti haadzvari, kana kukohwa, haana tsapi kana dura; asi Mwari anoafunda. Imwi munokunda zvikuru sei shiri?
25 Which of you by being anxious can add a cubit [18 in; 45.72 cm] to his height?
Ndiani kwamuri nekufunganya angagona kuwedzera mbimbi imwe paurefu hwake?
26 If then you are not able to do even the least things, why are you anxious about the rest?
Naizvozvo kana musingagoni kuita chinhu chidikisa, munofunganyirei pamusoro pezvimwe?
27 Consider the lilies, how they grow. They don’t toil, neither do they spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon [Peaceable, Recompense] in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Fungai midovatova, kuti inokura sei; haishingairi, hairuki; asi ndinoti kwamuri: NaSoromoni mukubwinya kwake kwese, haana kupfekedzwa seumwe wayo.
28 But if this is how God clothes the grass in the field, which today exists, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little trusting faith?
Zvino kana Mwari achipfekedza saizvozvo uswa huri panyika nhasi, mangwana hwokandirwa muchoto, uchakupfekedzai nekupfuurisa sei, imwi verutendo rudiki?
29 Don’t seek what you will eat or what you will drink; neither be anxious.
Zvino imwi musatsvaka zvamuchadya kana zvamuchamwa; uye musazvidya moyo.
30 For the nations of the world seek after all of these things, but 'Avikah ·your Father· knows that you need these things.
Nokuti zvinhu izvi zvese marudzi enyika anozvitsvaka; asi Baba venyu vanoziva kuti munoshaiwa izvozvi.
31 But seek God’s Kingdom, and all these things will be added to you.
Asi tsvakai ushe hwaMwari, naizvozvi zvese zvichawedzerwa kwamuri.
32 Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is 'Avikah ·your Father·’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.
Musatya boka diki; nokuti Baba venyu vanofara kukupai ushe.
33 Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.
Tengesai izvo zvamunazvo mupe varombo zvipo. Muzviitire zvikwama zvisingashakari, fuma kumatenga isingaperi, pasina mbavha ingasvika kana zvifusi zvingaodza.
34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Nokuti pane fuma yenyu, ndipo pachavawo nemoyo wenyu.
35 “Let your waist be dressed and your lamps burning.
Zviuno zvenyu ngazvigare zvakasungwa, nemwenje ichipfuta.
36 Be like men watching for their lord, when he teshuvah ·completely returns· from the marriage feast; that, when he comes and knocks, they may immediately open to him.
Nemwi muve sevanhu vakarindira ishe wavo, pakudzoka kwake kumuchato, kuti kana achisvika akagogodza, vangamuzarurira pakarepo.
37 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord will find watching when he comes. Most certainly I tell you, that he will dress himself, and make them recline, and will come and serve them.
Vakaropafadzwa varanda avo, vanoti kana ishe achisvika anovawana vakarindira; zvirokwazvo ndinoti kwamuri: Achazvisunga, akavagarisa pakudya, akaswedera akavashandira.
38 They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch, and finds them so.
Kana akasvika nenguva yekurindira yechipiri, kana kusvika nenguva yekurindira yechitatu, akawana vakadaro, vakaropafadzwa varanda ivavo.
39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not allowed his house to be broken into.
Asi muzive izvi, kuti dai mwene weimba aiziva nderipi awa mbavha rainouya, angadai akarinda, akasatendera imba yake kuti ipazwe.
40 Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don’t expect him.”
Naizvozvo imwiwo ivai makazvigadzirira; nokuti neawa ramusingafungiri Mwanakomana wemunhu anouya.
41 Peter [Rock] said to him, “Lord, are you telling this parable to us, or to everybody?”
Petro ndokuti kwaari: Ishe, munoutaura mufananidzo uyu kwatiri, kana kune vesewo?
42 The Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and wise steward, whom his lord will set over his household, to give them their portion of food at the right times?
Ishe ndokuti: Ko ndiani zvino mutariri wakatendeka uye wakachenjera, ishe waachagadza pamusoro pevaranda vake, kuti ape mugove wekudya nenguva yakafanira?
43 Blessed is that servant whom his lord will find doing so when he comes.
Wakaropafadzwa muranda uyo, unoti kana ishe wake achisvika, amuwane achiita saizvozvo.
44 Truly I tell you, that he will set him over all that he has.
Zvirokwazvo ndinoti kwamuri: Achamugadza pamusoro pezvese zvaanazvo.
45 But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My lord delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the menservants and the maidservants, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken,
Asi kana muranda uyo akati mumoyo make: Ishe wangu wanonoka kuuya; akatanga kurova varandarume nevarandakadzi, nekudya, nekunwa, nekuraradza;
46 then the lord of that servant will come in a day when he is not expecting him, and in an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in two, and place his portion with the unfaithful.
ishe wemuranda uyo achasvika pazuva raasingatarisiri, uye paawa raasingazivi, akamugura nepakati, akagura mugove wake pamwe nevasakatendeka.
47 That servant, who knew his lord’s will, and didn’t prepare, nor do what he wanted, will be beaten with many stripes,
Muranda uyo waiziva chido chaishe wake, akasagadzirira, kana kuita zvinoenderana nechido chake, acharohwa neshamhu zhinji.
48 but he who didn’t know, and did things worthy of stripes, will be beaten with few stripes. To whomever much is given, of him will much be required; and to whom much was entrusted, of him more will be asked.
Asi wakange asingazivi, akaita zvakafanira kurohwa, acharohwa neshamhu shoma. Uye wese wakapiwa zvizhinji, zvizhinji zvichatsvakwa kwaari; neanobatiswa zvizhinji, vachareva zvinopfuurisa kwaari.
49 “I came to throw fire on the earth. I wish it were already kindled.
Ndakauya kuzokanda moto panyika, zvino ndichadei kana watobatidzwa?
50 But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!
Asi ndine rubhabhatidzo rwandichabhabhatidzwa narwo, zvino ndinomanikidzwa sei kusvikira rwuchipedziswa.
51 Do you think that I have come to give peace in the earth? I tell you, no, but rather division.
Munofunga kuti ndakauya kuzopa rugare panyika here? Kwete, ndinoti kwamuri, asi kutozopesanisa.
52 For from now on, there will be five in one house divided, three against two, and two against three.
Nokuti kubva zvino vashanu muimba imwe vachapesana, vatatu vachipikisana nevaviri, uye vaviri vachipikisana nevatatu,
53 They will be divided, father against son, and son against father; mother against daughter, and daughter against her mother; mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”
vachapesana, baba vachipikisana nemwanakomana, nemwanakomana achipikisana nababa; mai vachipikisana nemukunda, nemukunda achipikisana namai; vamwene vachipikisana nemuroora wavo, nemuroora achipikisana navamwene vake.
54 He said to the multitudes also, “When you see a cloud rising from the west, immediately you say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it happens.
Akatiwo kuzvaunga: Kana muchiona gore richisimuka kubva kumavirira, pakarepo munoti: Mvura inouya; zvodaro.
55 When a south wind blows, you say, ‘There will be a scorching heat,’ and it happens.
Uye kana muchiona mhepo yechamhembe ichivhuvhuta munoti: Kuchapisa; zvoitika.
56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that you don’t interpret this time?
Vanyepedzeri! Munoziva kuongorora zvimiro zvekudenga nezvenyika, asi hamuongorori sei nguva ino?
57 Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?
Ko asi munoregerei nemwi kuzvitongera momene zvakarurama?
58 For when you are going with your adversary before the magistrate, try diligently on the way to be released from him, lest perhaps he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.
Nokuti kana uchienda kumutungamiriri nemudzivisi wako, ita zvakanaka kuti usunungurwe kubva kwaari muri munzira; kuti arege kukukwevera kumutongi, mutongi akukumikidze kumupurisa, mupurisa akukande mutirongo.
59 I tell you, you will by no means get out of there, until you have paid the very last penny.”
Ndinoti kwauri: Haungatongobudimo, kusvikira waripa kunyange kamari kekupedzisira.
