Leviticus 16

1 Adonai spoke to Moses [Drawn out], after the death of the two sons of Aaron [Light-bringer], when they came near before Adonai, and died;

E falou o Senhor a Moisés, depois que morreram os dois filhos de Aarão, quando se chegaram diante do Senhor e morreram.

2 and Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Tell Aaron [Light-bringer] your brother, not to come at all times into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die: for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

Disse pois o Senhor a Moisés: Dize a Aarão, teu irmão que não entre no santuário em todo o tempo, para dentro do véu, diante do propiciatório que está sobre a arca, para que não morra; porque eu apareço na nuvem sobre o propiciatório.

3 “Aaron [Light-bringer] shall come into the sanctuary with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

Com isto Aarão entrará no santuário: com um novilho, para expiação do pecado, e um carneiro para holocausto.

4 He shall put on the holy linen coat. He shall have the linen breeches on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.

Vestirá ele a túnica santa de linho, e terá ceroulas de linho sobre a sua carne, e cingir-se-á com um cinto de linho, e se cobrirá com uma mitra de linho: estes são vestidos santos: por isso banhará a sua carne na água, e os vestirá.

5 He shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel [God prevails] two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

E da congregação dos filhos de Israel tomará dois bodes para expiação do pecado e um carneiro para holocausto.

6 “Aaron [Light-bringer] shall offer the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.

Depois Aarão oferecerá o novilho da expiação, que será para ele; e fará expiação por si e pela sua casa.

7 He shall take the two goats, and set them before Adonai at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

Também tomará ambos os bodes, e os porá perante o Senhor, à porta da tenda da congregação.

8 Aaron [Light-bringer] shall cast lots for the two goats; one lot for Adonai, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

E Aarão lançará sortes sobre os dois bodes: uma sorte pelo Senhor, e a outra sorte pelo bode emissário.

9 Aaron [Light-bringer] shall present the goat on which the lot fell for Adonai, and offer him for a sin offering.

Então Aarão fará chegar o bode, sobre o qual cair a sorte pelo Senhor, e o oferecerá para expiação do pecado.

10 But the goat, on which the lot fell for the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before Adonai, to make atonement for him, to send him away for the scapegoat into the wilderness.

Mas o bode, sobre que cair a sorte para ser bode emissário, apresentar-se-á com ele, para envia-lo ao deserto como bode emissário.

11 “Aaron [Light-bringer] shall present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

E Aarão fará chegar o novilho da expiação, que será para ele, e fará expiação por si e pela sua casa; e degolará o novilho da expiação, que é para ele.

12 He shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Adonai, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:

Tomará também o incensário cheio de brazas de fogo do altar, de diante do Senhor, e os seus punhos cheios de incenso aromático moído, e o meterá dentro do véu.

13 and he shall put the incense on the fire before Adonai, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the testimony, so that he will not die.

E porá o incenso sobre o fogo perante o Senhor, e a nuvem do incenso cobrirá o propiciatório, que está sobre o testemunho, para que não morra.

14 He shall take some of the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

E tomará do sangue do novilho, e com o seu dedo espargirá sobre a face do propiciatório, para a banda do oriente; e perante o propiciatório espargirá sete vezes do sangue com o seu dedo.

15 “Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat.

Depois degolará o bode da expiação, que será para o povo, e trará o seu sangue para dentro do véu; e fará com o seu sangue como fez com o sangue do novilho, e o espargirá sobre o propiciatório, e perante a face do propiciatório.

16 He shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel [God prevails], and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so he shall do for the Tent of Meeting, that dwells with them in the middle of their uncleanness.

Assim fará expiação pelo santuário por causa das imundicias dos filhos de Israel e das suas transgressões, segundo todos os seus pecados: e assim fará para a tenda da congregação que mora com eles no meio das suas imundicias.

17 No one shall be in the Tent of Meeting when he enters to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, and has made atonement for himself and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel [God prevails].

E nenhum homem estará na tenda da congregação quando ele entrar a fazer expiação no santuário, até que ele saia: assim fará expiação por si mesmo, e pela sua casa, e por toda a congregação de Israel.

18 “He shall go out to the altar that is before Adonai and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the bull’s blood, and some of the goat’s blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar.

Então sairá ao altar, que está perante o Senhor, e fará expiação por ele; e tomará do sangue do novilho, e do sangue do bode, e o porá sobre os cornos do altar ao redor.

19 He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and make it holy from the uncleanness of the children of Israel [God prevails].

E daquele sangue espargirá sobre ele com o seu dedo sete vezes, e o purificará das imundicias dos filhos de Israel, e o santificará.

20 “When he has finished atoning for the Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

Havendo pois acabado de expiar o santuário, e a tenda da congregação, e o altar, então fará chegar o bode vivo.

21 Aaron [Light-bringer] shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and yadah ·extend hands in confession· over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel [God prevails], and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness.

E Aarão porá ambas as suas mãos sobre a cabeça do bode vive, e sobre ele confessará todas as iniquidades dos filhos de Israel, e todas as suas transgressões, segundo todos os seus pecados: e os porá sobre a cabeça do bode, e envia-lo-á ao deserto, pela mão dum homem designado para isso.

22 The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall let the goat go in the wilderness.

Assim aquele bode levará sobre si todas as iniquidades deles à terra solitária; e enviará o bode ao deserto.

23 “Aaron [Light-bringer] shall come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there.

Depois Aarão virá à tenda da congregação, e despirá os vestidos de linho, que havia vestido quando entrara no santuário, e ali os deixará.

24 Then he shall bathe himself in water in a holy place, and put on his garments, and come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.

E banhará a sua carne em água no lugar santo, e vestirá os seus vestidos; então sairá e preparará o seu holocausto, e o holocausto do povo, e fará expiação por si e pelo povo.

25 The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar.

Também queimará a gordura da expiação do pecado sobre o altar.

26 “He who lets the goat go for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

E aquele que tiver levado o bode (que era bode emissário) lavará os seus vestidos, e banhará a sua carne em água; e depois entrará no arraial.

27 The bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried outside the camp; and they shall burn their skins, their flesh, and their dung with fire.

Mas o novilho da expiação, e o bode da expiação do pecado, cujo sangue foi trazido para fazer expiação no santuário, será levado fora do arraial: porém as suas peles, a sua carne, e o seu esterco queimarão com fogo.

28 He who burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

E aquele que os queimar lavará os seus vestidos, e banhará a sua carne em água; e depois entrará no arraial.

29 “It shall be a regulation to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no kind of work, the native-born, or the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you:

E isto vos será por estatuto perpétuo: no sétimo mes, aos dez do mes, afligireis as vossas almas, e nenhuma obra fareis, nem o natural nem o estrangeiro que peregrina entre vós.

30 for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins you shall be clean before Adonai.

Porque naquele dia fará expiação por vós, para purificar-vos: e sereis purificados de todos os vossos pecados perante o Senhor.

31 It is a Sabbath ·To cease· of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls. It is a regulation forever.

É um sábado de descanço para vós, e afligireis as vossas almas: isto é estatuto perpétuo.

32 The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

E o sacerdote, que for ungido, e que for sagrado, para administrar o sacerdócio no lugar de seu pai, fará a expiação, havendo vestido os vestidos de linho, os vestidos santos:

33 Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

Assim expiará o santo santuário; também expiará a tenda da congregação e o altar; semelhantemente fará expiação pelos sacerdotes e por todo o povo da congregação.

34 “This shall be an everlasting regulation for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel [God prevails] once in the year because of all their sins.” It was done as Adonai enjoined Moses [Drawn out].

E isto vos será por estatuto perpétuo, para fazer expiação pelos filhos de Israel de todos os seus pecados, uma vez no ano. E fez Aarão como o Senhor ordenara a Moisés.
