Isaiah 58
1 “Cry aloud, don’t spare. Lift up your voice like a shofar ·ram horn·. Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob [Supplanter] their sins.
Clama em alta voz, não te retenhas; levanta tua voz como trombeta; e anuncia a meu povo sua transgressão, e à casa de Jacó seus pecados.
2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness, and didn’t forsake the judgments of their God, they ask of me upright judgments. They delight to draw near to God.
Porém eles me buscam diariamente, e tem prazer em conhecer os meus caminhos, como [se fossem] um povo que pratica justiça, e não abandona o juízo de seu Deus; perguntam-me pelos juízos de justiça, e tem prazer em se achegarem a Deus.
3 ‘Why have we fasted,’ say they, ‘and you don’t see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and you don’t notice?’ “Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and oppress all your laborers.
[Eles dizem: ] Por que nós jejuamos, e tu não dás atenção a isso? [Por que] afligimos nossas almas, e tu não o reconheces? Eis que nos dia em que jejuais, continuais a buscar [apenas] aquilo que vos agrada, e sobrecarregais todos os que trabalham para vós.
4 Behold, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wickedness. You don’t fast today so as to make your voice to be sh'ma ·heard obeyed· on high.
Eis que jejuais para brigas e discussões, e para dardes socos de maldade; não jejueis como [fazeis] hoje, para que vossa vossa voz seja ouvida no alto.
5 Is this the fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to humble his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under himself? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Adonai?
Seria este o jejum que eu escolheria, que o homem um dia aflija sua alma, incline sua cabeça como o junco, e estenda debaixo [de si] saco e cinza? Chamarias tu a isto jejum e dia agradável ao SENHOR?
6 “Is not this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
Por acaso não é este o jejum que eu escolheria: que soltes os nós de perversidade, que desfaças as amarras do jugo, e que libertes aos oprimidos, e quebres todo jugo?
7 Is not it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Por acaso não é [também] que repartas teu pão com o faminto, e aos pobres desamparados recolhas em casa, [e] vendo ao nu, que o cubras, e não te escondas de tua carne?
8 Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you; and the kavod Yahweh ·weighty glory of He sustains breathing· will be your rear guard.
[Quando fizeres isto], então tua luz surgirá como o amanhecer, e tua cura logo chegará; e tua justiça irá adiante de ti; a glória do SENHOR será tua retaguarda.
9 Then you will call, and Adonai will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away from among you the yoke, finger pointing, and speaking wickedly;
Então clamarás, e o SENHOR [te] responderá; gritarás, e dirá: Eis-me aqui; se tirares do meio de ti o jugo, o estender de dedo, e o falar perversidade.
10 and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul: then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;
E se abrires tua alma ao faminto, e fartares à alma afligida; então tua luz nascerá das trevas, e tua escuridão será como o meio-dia.
11 and Adonai will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters don’t fail.
E o SENHOR te guiará continuamente, fartará a tua alma [mesmo] em grandes secas, e fortalecerá teus ossos; e tu serás como um jardim regado, como um manancial de águas, cujas águas nunca faltam.
12 Those who shall be of you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.
E os que de ti [procederem] edificarão os lugares antes arruinados, e levantarás os fundamentos das gerações [passadas]; e te chamarão reparador das coisas que se romperam, e restaurador das ruas para se morar.
13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath ·To cease·, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath ·To cease· a delight, and the holy of Adonai honorable; and shall honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:
Se quanto ao sábado recusares fazer tua vontade no meu santo dia, e chamares ao sábado de agradável, santificado ao SENHOR, e glorioso, e tu o honrares, não seguindo teus caminhos, [nem] buscando tua própria vontade, falando [o que não se deve],
14 then you shall delight yourself in Adonai; and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth; and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob [Supplanter] your father:” for Adonai’s mouth has spoken it.
Então tu te agradarás no SENHOR, e te farei montar sobre as alturas da terra; e te darei sustento com a herança de teu pai Jacó; porque [assim] a boca do SENHOR falou.
