Genesis 14
1 In the days of Amraphel, king of Shinar, Arioch, king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer, king of Elam, and Tidal, king of Goiim,
А кад беше Амарфал цар сенарски, Арион цар еласарски, Ходологомор цар еламски и Таргал цар гојимски,
2 they made war with Bera, king of Sodom [Burning], and with Birsha, king of Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants], Shinab, king of Admah, and Shemeber, king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (also called Zoar [Small]).
Завојеваше на Валу цара содомског, и на Варсу цара гоморског, и на Сенара цара адамског, и на Симовора цара севојимског и на цара од Валаке, која је сада Сигор.
3 All these joined together in the valley of Siddim (also called the Salt Sea).
Сви се ови скупише у долини сидимској која је сада слано море.
4 They served Chedorlaomer for twelve years, and in the thirteenth year, they rebelled.
Дванаест година беху служили Ходологомору, па тринаесте године одметнуше се.
5 In the fourteenth year Chedorlaomer came, and the kings who were with him, and struck the Rephaim [Descendants of Terrible one] in Ashteroth Karnaim, and the Zuzim in Ham [Hot, Intensity, Passion], and the Emim in Shaveh Kiriathaim,
А четрнаесте године дође Ходологомор и цареви који беху с њим, и побише Рафаје у Астароту карнајимском и Зузеје у Аму и Омеје у пољу киријатајском,
6 and the Horites in their Mount Seir, to El Paran, which is by the wilderness.
И Хореје у планини њиховој Сиру до равнице Фаранске покрај пустиње.
7 They returned, and came to En Mishpat (also called Kadesh), and struck all the country of the Amalekites [Descendants of Man who licks up], and also the Amorites [Descendants of Talkers], that lived in Hazazon Tamar [Palm tree].
Од туда вративши се дођоше у Ен-Миспат, који је сада Кадис, и исекоше све који живеху у земљи амаличкој, и Амореје који живеху у Асасон-Тамару.
8 The king of Sodom [Burning], and the king of Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants], and the king of Admah, and the king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (also called Zoar [Small]) went out; and they set the battle in array against them in the valley of Siddim;
Тада изиђе цар содомски и цар гоморски и цар адамски и цар севојимски и цар од Валаке, које је сада Сигор, изађоше на њих у долину сидимску,
9 against Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim, and Amraphel king of Shinar, and Arioch king of Ellasar; four kings against the five.
На Ходологомора цара еламског, и на Таргала цара гојимског, и на Амарфала цара сенарског, и на Ариоха цара еласарског, четири цара на пет.
10 Now the valley of Siddim was full of tar pits; and the kings of Sodom [Burning] and Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants] fled, and some fell there, and those who remained fled to the hills.
А у долини сидимској беше много рупа из којих се вадила смола; и побеже цар содомски и цар гоморски, и онде падоше, а шта оста побеже у планину.
11 They took all the goods of Sodom [Burning] and Gomorrah [Rebellious people, Tyrants], and all their food, and went their way.
И узеше све благо у Содому и Гомору и сву храну њихову, и отидоше.
12 They took Lot [Veil, Covering], Avram [Exalted father]’s brother’s son, who lived in Sodom [Burning], and his goods, and departed.
Узеше и Лота, синовца Аврамовог, и благо његово, и отидоше, јер живеше у Содому.
13 One who had escaped came and told Avram [Exalted father], the Hebrew [Immigrant]. At that time, he lived by the oaks of Mamre [Bitter, Fatness], the Amorite [Descendants of Talkers], brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner; and they were allies of Avram [Exalted father].
А дође један који беше утекао, те јави Авраму Јеврејину, који живеше у равни Мамрија Аморејина, брата Есхолу и брата Авнану, који беху у вери с Аврамом.
14 When Avram [Exalted father] sh'ma ·heard obeyed· that his relative was taken captive, he led out his trained men, born in his house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued as far as Dan [He judged].
А кад Аврам чу да му се заробио синовац, наоружа слуге своје, триста осамнаест, који се родише у његовој кући, и пође у потеру до Дана.
15 He divided himself against them by night, he and his servants, and struck them, and pursued them to Hobah, which is on the left hand of Damascus [Bucket of blood].
Онде разделивши своје удари на њих ноћу са слугама својим, и разби их, и отера их до Ховала, који је на лево од Дамаска,
16 He brought back all the goods, and also brought back his relative, Lot [Veil, Covering], and his goods, and the women also, and the other people.
И поврати све благо; поврати и Лота синовца свог с благом његовим, и жене и људе.
17 The king of Sodom [Burning] went out to meet him after his return from the slaughter of Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him, at the valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).
А цар содомски изиђе му на сусрет кад се врати разбивши Ходологомора и цареве што беху с њим, у долину Савину, које је сада долина царева.
18 Malki-Tzedek king of Shalem [My king Righteousness king of City peace] brought out bread and wine. He was a priest of El 'Elyon [God Most High],
А Мелхиседек цар салимски изнесе хлеб и вино; а он беше свештеник Бога Вишњег.
19 so he blessed him saying, “Blessed be Avram [Exalted father] of El 'Elyon [God Most High], possessor of heaven and earth:
И благослови га говорећи: Благословен да је Аврам Богу Вишњем, чије је небо и земља!
20 and blessed be El 'Elyon [God Most High], who has delivered your enemies into your hand.” Avram [Exalted father] gave him a tenth of all.
И благословен да је Бог Вишњи, који предаде непријатеље твоје у руке твоје! И даде му Аврам десетак од свега.
21 The king of Sodom [Burning] said to Avram [Exalted father], “Give me the people, and take the goods for yourself.”
А цар содомски рече Авраму: Дај мени људе, а благо узми себи.
22 Avram [Exalted father] said to the king of Sodom [Burning], “I have lifted up my hand to Adonai, El 'Elyon [God Most High], possessor of heaven and earth,
А Аврам рече цару содомском: Дижем руку своју ка Господу Богу Вишњем, чије је небо и земља, заклињући се:
23 that I will not take a thread nor a sandal strap nor anything that is yours, lest you should say, ‘I have made Avram [Exalted father] rich.’
Ни конца ни ремена од обуће нећу узети од свега што је твоје, да не кажеш: Ја сам обогатио Аврама;
24 I will accept nothing from you except that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men who went with me: Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre [Bitter, Fatness]. Let them take their portion.”
Осим што су појели момци, и осим дела људима који су ишли са мном, Есхолу, Авнану и Мамрију, они нека узму свој део.
