Exodus 4
1 Moses [Drawn out] answered, “But, behold, they will not believe me, nor sh'ma ·hear obey· to my voice; for they will say, ‘Adonai has not appeared to you.’”
மோசே மறுமொழியாக, “அவர்கள் என்னை நம்பாமலும், நான் சொல்லும் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாமலும், ‘யெகோவா உனக்கு காட்சி அளிக்கவில்லை’ என்று சொல்வார்களானால் நான் என்ன செய்வேன்?” என்றான்.
2 Adonai said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A rod.”
அதற்கு யெகோவா அவனிடம், “உன் கையில் இருப்பது என்ன?” என்று கேட்டார். “ஒரு கோல்” என்றான்.
3 He said, “Throw it on the ground.” He threw it on the ground, and it became a snake; and Moses [Drawn out] ran away from it.
“அதைத் தரையில் எறிந்துவிடு” என்று யெகோவா சொன்னார். மோசே அதைத் தரையில் எறிந்தபோது அது பாம்பாக மாறியது, மோசே விலகி ஓடினான்.
4 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “Stretch out your hand, and take it by the tail.” He stretched out his hand, and took hold of it, and it became a rod in his hand.
அப்பொழுது யெகோவா, “உன் கையை நீட்டி அதன் வாலைப் பிடித்துத் தூக்கு” என்று சொன்னார். மோசே கையை நீட்டி பாம்பைப் பிடித்தான்; அது அவன் கையில் கோலாக மாறியது.
5 “That they may believe that Adonai, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham [Father of a multitude], the God of Isaac [Laughter], and the God of Jacob [Supplanter], has appeared to you.”
“ஆபிரகாமின் இறைவனும், ஈசாக்கின் இறைவனும், யாக்கோபின் இறைவனுமான அவர்களின் முற்பிதாக்களின் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா, உனக்கு காட்சியளித்திருக்கிறார் என்பதை அவர்கள் நம்பும்படி இதுவே அடையாளம்” என்று யெகோவா சொன்னார்.
6 Adonai said furthermore to him, “Now put your hand inside your cloak.” He put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous, as white as snow.
மேலும் யெகோவா மோசேயிடம், “உன் கையை உன் மேலங்கியினுள் வை” என்றார். எனவே மோசே தன் கையை மேலங்கிக்குள் வைத்தான்; அவன் அதை வெளியே எடுத்தபோது, அவனுடைய கை உறைபனியைப்போல் குஷ்டமாகியிருந்தது.
7 He said, “Put your hand inside your cloak again.” He put his hand inside his cloak again, and when he took it out of his cloak, behold, it had turned again as his other flesh.
“இப்பொழுது திரும்ப உனது கையை மேலங்கிக்குள் வை” என்றார். அப்படியே மோசே, மறுபடியும் அங்கிக்குள் கையை வைத்தான். திரும்பவும் கையை வெளியே எடுத்தபோது, அது சுகமடைந்து உடலின் மற்ற பகுதிகளைப்போல் மாறினது.
8 “It will happen, if they will not believe you or sh'ma ·hear obey· the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.
பின்பு யெகோவா, “அவர்கள் உன்னை நம்பாமல் அல்லது முதல் அற்புத அடையாளத்தைக் கவனிக்காமல் விட்டிருந்தாலும், இரண்டாவதை நம்பக்கூடும்.
9 It will happen, if they will not believe even these two signs or sh'ma ·hear obey· your voice, that you shall take of the water of the river, and pour it on the dry land. The water which you take out of the river will become blood on the dry land.”
இந்த இரண்டு அடையாளங்களையும் அவர்கள் நம்பாமல் அல்லது உனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்காமல் போனால், நைல் நதியிலிருந்து கொஞ்சம் தண்ணீர் எடுத்து, அதைக் காய்ந்த தரையில் ஊற்று; நீ நதியிலிருந்து எடுக்கிற தண்ணீர் தரையில் இரத்தமாய் மாறிவிடும்” என்றார்.
10 Moses [Drawn out] said to Adonai, “O Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before now, nor since you have spoken to your servant; for I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue.”
அதற்கு மோசே யெகோவாவிடம், “யெகோவாவே, கடந்த காலத்திலோ அல்லது நீர் உமது அடியானுடன் பேசியதிலிருந்தோ, நான் ஒருபோதும் பேச்சுத்திறன் உடையவனாய் இருக்கவில்லை; என் வாய் திக்கும், என் நாவு குழறும்.”
11 Adonai said to him, “Who made man’s mouth? Or who makes one mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is not it I, Adonai?
அப்பொழுது யெகோவா அவனிடம், “மனிதனுக்கு வாயை உண்டாக்கியவர் யார்? அவனை ஊமையாகவோ செவிடாகவோ ஆக்குகிறவர் யார்? அவனுக்கு பார்வையைக் கொடுப்பதோ, அவனைக் குருடனாக்குவதோ யார்? யெகோவாவாகிய நான் அல்லவா?
12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall speak.”
இப்பொழுதே நீ போ; பேசுவதற்கு நான் உனக்கு உதவிசெய்து, நீ சொல்ல வேண்டியதையும் உனக்குப் போதிப்பேன்” என்றார்.
13 He said, “Oh, Lord, please send someone else.”
அதற்கு மோசேயோ, “யெகோவாவே, தயவுசெய்து இதைச் செய்வதற்கு வேறொருவனை அனுப்பும்” என்றான்.
14 Adonai’s anger burned against Moses [Drawn out], and he said, “What about Aaron [Light-bringer], your brother, the Levite [Descendant of United with]? I know that he can speak well. Also, behold, he comes out to meet you. When he sees you, he will be glad in his heart.
அதனால் மோசேக்கு எதிராக யெகோவாவின் கடுங்கோபம் மூண்டது; அவர், “அப்படியானால் லேவியனாகிய உன் சகோதரன் ஆரோன் இருக்கிறான் அல்லவா? அவன் நன்றாகப் பேசுவான் என்பதை நான் அறிவேன். அவன் உன்னைச் சந்திப்பதற்கு வந்துகொண்டிருக்கிறான், உன்னைக் கண்டதும் மகிழ்ச்சியடைவான்.
15 You shall speak to him, and put the words in his mouth. I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you shall do.
நீ அவனுடன் பேசி, அவன் சொல்லவேண்டிய வார்த்தைகளை அவனுக்குச் சொல்வாய்; அப்பொழுது நான் உங்கள் இருவருக்கும் பேசுவதற்கு உதவிசெய்து, நீங்கள் செய்யவேண்டியதையும் உங்களுக்குப் போதிப்பேன்.
16 He will be your spokesman to the people; and it will happen, that he will be to you a mouth, and you will be to him as God.
அவன் உனக்காக மக்களிடம் பேசுவான், அவன் உனக்கு வாய் போலிருப்பான்; நீ அவனுக்கு இறைவன்போல் இருப்பாய்.
17 You shall take this rod in your hand, with which you shall do the signs.”
ஆனாலும் நீ இந்தக் கோலை கையில் கொண்டுபோ; இதைக்கொண்டு அற்புத அடையாளங்களை உன்னால் செய்யமுடியும்” என்றார்.
18 Moses [Drawn out] went and returned to Jethro [Abundance] his father-in-law, and said to him, “Please let me go and return to my brothers who are in Egypt [Abode of slavery], and see whether they are still alive.” Jethro [Abundance] said to Moses [Drawn out], “Go in peace.”
அதன்பின் மோசே தன் மாமனார் எத்திரோவிடம் திரும்பிப்போய் அவனிடம், “நான் எகிப்திலுள்ள என் சொந்த மக்களிடம் மறுபடியும்போய், அவர்களில் யாராவது இன்னும் உயிரோடிருக்கிறார்களா, என்று பார்க்க என்னைப் போகவிடும்” என்றான். அதற்கு எத்திரோ, “என் நல்வாழ்த்துகள்; நீ போய்வா” என்று சொல்லி அவனை அனுப்பிவைத்தான்.
19 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out] in Midian [Strife], “Go, return into Egypt [Abode of slavery]; for all the men who sought your life are dead.”
மீதியான் தேசத்தில் யெகோவா மோசேயிடம், “உன்னைக் கொலைசெய்ய எண்ணியிருந்தவர்களான எல்லோரும் இறந்துவிட்டார்கள். ஆகையால், நீ எகிப்திற்குத் திரும்பவும் போ” என்று சொல்லியிருந்தார்.
20 Moses [Drawn out] took his wife and his sons, and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt [Abode of slavery]. Moses [Drawn out] took God’s rod in his hand.
எனவே மோசே தன் மனைவியையும், மகன்களையும் கழுதையின்மேல் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு எகிப்திற்குப் போகப் புறப்பட்டான். மோசே இறைவனின் கோலை தன்னுடன் எடுத்துச் சென்றான்.
21 Adonai said to Moses [Drawn out], “When you go back into Egypt [Abode of slavery], see that you do before Pharaoh all the wonders which I have put in your hand, but I will harden his heart and he will not let the people go.
அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேயிடம், “நீ எகிப்திற்குத் திரும்பிப் போனபின்பு, நான் உனக்குக் கொடுத்த அற்புதங்களை எல்லாம் என் வல்லமையைக்கொண்டு, பார்வோனுக்கு முன்பாகச் செய்துகாட்டு; ஆனால் நானோ பார்வோனின் இருதயத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்துவேன். அதனால் அவன் மக்களைப் போகவிடமாட்டான்.
22 You shall tell Pharaoh, ‘Adonai says, Israel [God prevails] is my son, my firstborn,
அப்பொழுது நீ பார்வோனிடம், ‘யெகோவா சொல்வது இதுவே: இஸ்ரயேல் எனது முதற்பேறான மகன்,
23 and I have said to you, “Let my son go, that he may abad ·serve· me;” and you have refused to let him go. Behold, I will kill your son, your firstborn.’”
என் மகனை என்னை வழிபடும்படி போகவிடு என்று நான் உனக்குச் சொன்னேன்; ஆனால் நீயோ, அவனைப் போகவிட மறுத்தாய்; ஆகையால் நான் உன்னுடைய முதற்பேறான மகனைக் கொல்லுவேன்’ என்கிறார் என்று சொல்” என்றார்.
24 On the way at a lodging place, Adonai met Moses [Drawn out] and wanted to kill him.
மோசே பயணம் செய்யும் வழியில் அவர்கள் தங்கியிருந்த இடத்தில் யெகோவா மோசேயை எதிர்த்து, அவனைக் கொல்ல முயன்றார்.
25 Then Zipporah took a flint, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet; and she said, “Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”
உடனே சிப்போராள் ஒரு கூர்மையானக் கல்லை எடுத்து, தன் மகனுக்கு விருத்தசேதனம் செய்து, அதனால் மோசேயின் பாதங்களைத் தொட்டு, “நிச்சயமாக நீர் எனக்கு இரத்தத்தினால் உரிமையான மணமகன்” என்றாள்.
26 So he let him alone. Then she said, “You are a bridegroom of blood,” because of the circumcision.
எனவே யெகோவா அவனை விட்டுவிட்டார். “இரத்தத்தினால் உரிமையான மணமகன்” என்று விருத்தசேதனத்தைக் குறித்தே அந்நேரத்தில் அவள் சொன்னாள்.
27 Adonai said to Aaron [Light-bringer], “Go into the wilderness to meet Moses [Drawn out].” He went, and met him on God’s mountain, and kissed him.
யெகோவா ஆரோனிடம், “மோசேயைச் சந்திப்பதற்காகப் பாலைவனத்திற்குப் போ” என்றார். அதன்படியே ஆரோன் இறைவனின் மலையில் மோசேயைச் சந்தித்து, அவனை முத்தமிட்டான்.
28 Moses [Drawn out] told Aaron [Light-bringer] all Adonai’s words with which he had sent him, and all the signs with which he had enjoined him.
அப்பொழுது மோசே யெகோவா தன்னை அனுப்பிச் சொல்லும்படிச் சொன்ன எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆரோனிடம் கூறினான். அத்துடன் அவர் தனக்குச் செய்யும்படி கட்டளையிட்ட அற்புத அடையாளங்களைப் பற்றியும் சொன்னான்.
29 Moses [Drawn out] and Aaron [Light-bringer] went and gathered together all the elders of the children of Israel [God prevails].
மோசேயும் ஆரோனும் இஸ்ரயேலின் சபைத்தலைவர்கள் எல்லோரையும் கூடிவரச் செய்தார்கள்.
30 Aaron [Light-bringer] spoke all the words which Adonai had spoken to Moses [Drawn out], and did the signs in the sight of the people.
அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேக்குச் சொல்லியிருந்த எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆரோன் அவர்களிடம் கூறினான், அவன் அந்த அடையாளங்களையும் மக்களுக்குமுன் செய்துகாட்டினான்.
31 The people believed, and when they sh'ma ·heard obeyed· that Adonai had visited the children of Israel [God prevails], and that he had seen their affliction, then they hawa ·bowed low, prostrated· their heads and worshiped.
அவர்கள் நம்பினார்கள். யெகோவா இஸ்ரயேலர்களில் கரிசனையாய் இருக்கிறார் என்றும், தங்கள் அவலத்தைக் கண்டிருக்கிறார் என்றும் அவர்கள் கேள்விப்பட்டபோது, அவர்கள் தலைகுனிந்து வழிபட்டார்கள்.
