Matthew 22
1 Jesus answered and spoke again in parables to them, saying,
൧യേശു പിന്നെയും ഉപമകളിലൂടെ അവരോട് പ്രസ്താവിച്ചതെന്തെന്നാൽ:
2 "The kingdom of heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son,
൨സ്വർഗ്ഗരാജ്യം തന്റെ പുത്രന് വേണ്ടി കല്യാണസദ്യ ഒരുക്കിയ ഒരു രാജാവിനോടു സദൃശം.
3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come.
൩അവൻ കല്യാണത്തിന് ക്ഷണിച്ചവരെ വിളിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ദാസന്മാരെ പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു; അവർക്കോ വരുവാൻ മനസ്സായില്ല.
4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Look, I have made ready my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast."'
൪പിന്നെയും അവൻ മറ്റു ദാസന്മാരെ അയച്ചു: എന്റെ വിരുന്ന് ഒരുക്കിത്തീർന്നു, എന്റെ കാളകളെയും തടിപ്പിച്ച മൃഗങ്ങളെയും അറുത്തു, എല്ലാം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; കല്യാണവിരുന്നിന് വരുവിൻ എന്നു ക്ഷണിച്ചവരോട് പറയിച്ചു.
5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise,
൫എന്നാൽ അവർ അവന്റെ ക്ഷണം ഗൗരവമായി കൂട്ടാക്കിയില്ല ചിലർ തങ്ങളുടെ നിലങ്ങളിലേക്കും മറ്റുചിലർ തങ്ങളുടെ വ്യാപാരസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേയ്ക്കും പൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.
6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them.
൬ശേഷമുള്ളവർ അവന്റെ ദാസന്മാരെ പിടിച്ച് അപമാനിച്ചു കൊന്നുകളഞ്ഞു.
7 The king was enraged, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
൭രാജാവ് കോപിച്ചു സൈന്യങ്ങളെ അയച്ച് ആ കുലപാതകന്മാരെ മുടിച്ചു അവരുടെ പട്ടണം ചുട്ടുകളഞ്ഞു.
8 "Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren't worthy.
൮പിന്നെ അവൻ ദാസന്മാരോട്: കല്യാണം ഒരുങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ക്ഷണിക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ യോഗ്യരായില്ല.
9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.'
൯ആകയാൽ പെരുവഴികൾ ചേരുന്ന ഇടങ്ങളിൽ ചെന്ന് കാണുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും കല്യാണത്തിന് വിളിപ്പിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
10 And those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all they found, both bad and good, and the wedding was filled with those reclining.
൧൦ആ ദാസന്മാർ പെരുവഴികളിൽ പോയി, കണ്ട ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെയും നല്ലവരെയും എല്ലാം കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; കല്യാണശാല വിരുന്നുകാരെക്കൊണ്ടു നിറഞ്ഞു.
11 But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man who did not have on wedding clothing,
൧൧വിരുന്നുകാരെ നോക്കുവാൻ രാജാവ് അകത്തുവന്നപ്പോൾ കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ധരിക്കാത്ത ഒരു മനുഷ്യനെ അവിടെ കണ്ട്:
12 and he said to him, 'Friend, how did you come in here not wearing wedding clothing?' He was speechless.
൧൨സ്നേഹിതാ, നീ കല്യാണവസ്ത്രം ഇല്ലാതെ ഇവിടെ അകത്തുവന്നത് എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. എന്നാൽ അവന് ഉത്തരം മുട്ടിപ്പോയി.
13 Then the king said to the servants, 'Bind him hand and foot, and throw him into the outer darkness; there is where the weeping and grinding of teeth will be.'
൧൩രാജാവ് തന്റെ ദാസന്മാരോട്: ഇവനെ കയ്യും കാലും കെട്ടി ഏറ്റവും പുറത്തുള്ള ഇരുട്ടിൽ തള്ളിക്കളവിൻ; അവിടെ കരച്ചിലും പല്ലുകടിയും ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
14 For many are called, but few chosen."
൧൪വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടവർ അനേകർ; തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടവരോ ചുരുക്കം.
15 Then the Pharisees went and took counsel how they might entrap him in his talk.
൧൫അനന്തരം പരീശന്മാർ ചെന്ന് യേശുവിനെ അവന്റെ തന്നെ വാക്കിൽ കുടുക്കേണ്ടതിന് ആലോചിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്
16 They sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, "Teacher, we know that you are honest, and teach the way of God in truth, no matter whom you teach, for you are not partial to anyone.
൧൬അവരുടെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ ഹെരോദ്യരോടുകൂടെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ അയച്ചു. “ഗുരോ, നീ സത്യവാനും, ദൈവത്തിന്റെ വഴി നേരായി പഠിപ്പിക്കുന്നവനും, മനുഷ്യരുടെ മുഖം നോക്കാത്തവനും, ആരുടെയും അഭിപ്രായത്തിന് വിധേയനാകാത്തവനും, ആണ് എന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ അറിയുന്നു.
17 Tell us therefore, what do you think? Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?"
൧൭നിനക്ക് എന്ത് തോന്നുന്നു? കൈസർക്ക് കരം കൊടുക്കുന്നത് വിഹിതമോ അല്ലയോ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുതരേണം.
18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, "Why do you test me, you hypocrites?
൧൮യേശു അവരുടെ ദുഷ്ടത അറിഞ്ഞിട്ട്: കപടഭക്തിക്കാരേ, എന്നെ പരീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത് എന്ത്?
19 Show me the tax money." They brought to him a denarius.
൧൯കരത്തിനുള്ള നാണയം കാണിക്കുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവർ അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ഒരു വെള്ളിക്കാശ് കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
20 He asked them, "Whose is this image and inscription?"
൨൦അവൻ അവരോട്: ഇതിലുള്ള പ്രതിച്ഛായയും മേലെഴുത്തും ആരുടേത് എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന് കൈസരുടേത് എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
21 They said to him, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Give therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."
൨൧എന്നാൽ കൈസർക്കുള്ളത് കൈസർക്കും ദൈവത്തിനുള്ളത് ദൈവത്തിനും കൊടുക്കുവിൻ എന്നു അവൻ അവരോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
22 When they heard it, they were astonished, and left him, and went away.
൨൨അവർ ഇത് കേട്ട് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെട്ടു അവനെ വിട്ടുപൊയ്ക്കളഞ്ഞു.
23 On that day Sadducees came to him, the ones saying that there is no resurrection. And they asked him,
൨൩ആ ദിവസം പുനരുത്ഥാനം ഇല്ല എന്നു പറയുന്ന ചില സദൂക്യരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കൽ വന്നു:
24 saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies, having no children, his brother is to marry his wife, and raise up offspring for his brother.'
൨൪ഗുരോ, ഒരുവൻ മക്കൾ ഇല്ലാതെ മരിച്ചാൽ അവന്റെ സഹോദരൻ വിധവയായ സഹോദരഭാര്യയെ വിവാഹംകഴിച്ച് തന്റെ സഹോദരന് വേണ്ടി സന്തതിയെ ജനിപ്പിക്കേണം എന്നു മോശെ കല്പിച്ചുവല്ലോ.
25 Now there were with us seven brothers. The first married and died, and having no offspring, left his wife to his brother.
൨൫എന്നാൽ ഒരിടത്ത് ഏഴ് സഹോദരന്മാർ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവരിൽ ഒന്നാമത്തവൻ വിവാഹം ചെയ്തശേഷം മരിച്ചു, സന്തതി ഇല്ലായ്കയാൽ തന്റെ ഭാര്യ സഹോദരന്റേതായിത്തീർന്നു.
26 In like manner the second also, and the third, to the seventh.
൨൬രണ്ടാമത്തവനും മൂന്നാമത്തവനും ഏഴാമത്തവൻ വരെയും അങ്ങനെ തന്നെ ചെയ്തു.
27 After them all, the woman died.
൨൭എല്ലാവരും കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ട് ഒടുവിൽ സ്ത്രീയും മരിച്ചു.
28 In the resurrection therefore, whose wife will she be of the seven? For they all had her."
൨൮എന്നാൽ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവൾ എഴുവരിൽ ആർക്ക് ഭാര്യയാകും? എല്ലാവർക്കും അവൾ ഭാര്യ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
29 But Jesus answered them, "You are mistaken, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God.
൨൯അതിന് യേശു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞത്: നിങ്ങൾ തിരുവെഴുത്തുകളെയും ദൈവശക്തിയെയും അറിയാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് തെറ്റിപ്പോകുന്നു.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are like the angels in heaven.
൩൦പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിൽ അവർ വിവാഹം കഴിക്കുന്നില്ല, വിവാഹത്തിന് കൊടുക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുമില്ല; സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലെ ദൂതന്മാരെപ്പോലെ അത്രേ ആകുന്നത്.
31 But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken to you by God, saying,
൩൧മരിച്ചവരുടെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തെക്കുറിച്ചോ ദൈവം അരുളിച്ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത് നിങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചിട്ടില്ലയോ?
32 'I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?' God is not the God of the dead, but of the living."
൩൨ഞാൻ അബ്രാഹാമിന്റെ ദൈവവും യിസ്ഹാക്കിന്റെ ദൈവവും യാക്കോബിന്റെ ദൈവവും ആകുന്നു എന്നു അവൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവൻ മരിച്ചവരുടെ ദൈവമല്ല, മറിച്ച് ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദൈവമത്രേ.
33 When the crowds heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
൩൩പുരുഷാരം ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ട് അവന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തിൽ വിസ്മയിച്ചു.
34 But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together.
൩൪സദൂക്യരെ അവൻ നിശബ്ദരാക്കിയെന്ന് കേട്ടിട്ട് പരീശന്മാർ ഒന്നിച്ച് കൂടി,
35 One of them, a Law scholar, asked him a question, testing him.
൩൫അവരിൽ നിയമപണ്ഡിതനായ ഒരുവൻ:
36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?"
൩൬ഗുരോ, ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽ ഏറ്റവും മഹത്തരമായ കല്പന ഏത് എന്നു യേശുവിനെ പരീക്ഷിച്ച് ചോദിച്ചു.
37 He said to him, "'You are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'
൩൭യേശു അവനോട്: നിന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവിനെ നീ പൂർണ്ണഹൃദയത്തോടും പൂർണ്ണാത്മാവോടും പൂർണ്ണ മനസ്സോടുംകൂടെ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.
38 This is the great and first commandment.
൩൮ഇത് മഹത്തരവും, ഒന്നാമത്തേതുമായ കല്പന
39 A second likewise is this, 'You are to love your neighbor as yourself.'
൩൯രണ്ടാമത്തേതും അതിനോട് സമം: കൂട്ടുകാരനെ നിന്നെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ സ്നേഹിക്കേണം.
40 The whole Law and the Prophets depend on these two commandments."
൪൦ഈ രണ്ടു കല്പനകളിൽ സകല ന്യായപ്രമാണവും പ്രവാചകന്മാരും അടങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
41 Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
൪൧പരീശന്മാർ ഒരുമിച്ചു കൂടിയിരിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അവരോട്:
42 saying, "What do you think of the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, "Of David."
൪൨ക്രിസ്തുവിനെക്കുറിച്ച് നിങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്ത് തോന്നുന്നു? അവൻ ആരുടെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ പുത്രൻ എന്നു അവർ പറഞ്ഞു.
43 He said to them, "How then does David in the Spirit call him Lord, saying,
൪൩അവൻ അവരോട്: എന്നാൽ ദാവീദ് ആത്മാവിൽ അവനെ കർത്താവ് എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ?
44 'The Lord said to my Lord, sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet'?
൪൪“ഞാൻ നിന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിന്റെ പാദപീഠം ആക്കുവോളം എന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്ത് ഇരിക്ക എന്നു കർത്താവ് എന്റെ കർത്താവിനോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു എന്നു അവൻ പറയുന്നുവല്ലോ.
45 "If then David calls him Lord, how is he his son?"
൪൫ദാവീദ് അവനെ കർത്താവ് എന്നു പറയുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ അവന്റെ പുത്രൻ ആകുന്നത് എങ്ങനെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
46 No one was able to answer him a word, neither did anyone dare ask him any more questions from that day forth.
൪൬അവനോട് ഉത്തരം പറവാൻ ആർക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല; അന്നുമുതൽ ആരും അവനോട് ഒന്നും ചോദിപ്പാൻ ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടില്ല.
