Job 34
1 Moreover Elihu answered,
ଆହୁରି ଇଲୀହୂ ଉତ୍ତର କରି କହିଲା,
2 "Hear my words, you sages. Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
“ହେ ଜ୍ଞାନୀମାନେ, ମୋʼ କଥା ଶୁଣ, ହେ ବିଜ୍ଞମାନେ, ମୋʼ କଥାରେ କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଦିଅ।
3 For the ear tries words, as the palate tastes food.
କାରଣ ସ୍ୱାଦ ଯେପରି ଭକ୍ଷ୍ୟର ସ୍ୱାଦ ବୁଝେ, କର୍ଣ୍ଣ ସେପରି ବାକ୍ୟର ପରୀକ୍ଷା କରେ।
4 Let us choose for us that which is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.
ଯାହା ଯଥାର୍ଥ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ପାଇଁ ମନୋନୀତ କରୁ; ଯାହା ଭଲ, ତାହା ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଆପଣାମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ନିଶ୍ଚୟ କରୁ।
5 For Job has said, 'I am righteous, God has taken away my right:
କାରଣ ଆୟୁବ କହିଅଛି, ‘ମୁଁ ଧାର୍ମିକ, ପୁଣି ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ମୋହର ନ୍ୟାୟ ହରଣ କରିଅଛନ୍ତି;
6 Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.'
ମୁଁ ନ୍ୟାୟବାନ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ମିଥ୍ୟାବାଦୀ ଗଣିତ ହୋଇଅଛି; ମୁଁ ଅପରାଧରହିତ ହେଲେ ହେଁ ମୋହର କ୍ଷତି ପ୍ରତିକାରହୀନ।’
7 What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water,
ଆୟୁବ ପରି କେଉଁ ଲୋକ ଅଛି? ସେ ଜଳ ପରି ନିନ୍ଦା ପାନ କରେ।
8 Who goes in company with evildoers, and walks with wicked men?
ସେ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଯାଏ ଓ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ଗମନାଗମନ କରେ।
9 For he has said, 'It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.'
କାରଣ ସେ କହିଅଛି, ‘ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କଠାରେ ଆନନ୍ଦ କଲେ, ମନୁଷ୍ୟର କିଛି ଲାଭ ନାହିଁ।’
10 "Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, from Shaddai, that he should commit iniquity.
ହେ ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକେ, ମୋʼ କଥା ଶୁଣ; ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯେ ଦୁଷ୍କର୍ମ କରିବେ, ଏହା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂରେ ଥାଉ ଓ ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ଯେ ଅଧର୍ମ କରିବେ, ଏହା ତାହାଙ୍କଠାରୁ ଦୂରେ ଥାଉ।
11 For the work of a man he will render to him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
ମନୁଷ୍ୟର କର୍ମାନୁସାରେ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ଫଳ ଦେବେ ଓ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଲୋକକୁ ତାହାର ଆଚରଣ ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଫଳ ଭୋଗ କରାଇବେ।
12 Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will Shaddai pervert justice.
ନିଶ୍ଚୟ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଦୁଷ୍ଟାଚରଣ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ, ସର୍ବଶକ୍ତିମାନ ବିଚାର ବିପରୀତ କରିବେ ନାହିଁ।
13 Who put him in charge of the earth? or who has appointed him over the whole world?
କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥିବୀର କର୍ତ୍ତୃତ୍ୱଭାର ଦେଲା? ଅବା କିଏ ସମୁଦାୟ ଜଗତର ନିରୂପଣ କରିଅଛି?
14 If he set his heart on himself, If he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath,
ଯଦି ସେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ଉପରେ ଆପଣା ମନ ଦେବେ, ଯଦି ସେ ତାହାର ଆତ୍ମା ଓ ନିଶ୍ୱାସ ଆପଣା ନିକଟରେ ସଂଗ୍ରହ କରିବେ;
15 all flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust.
ତେବେ ସକଳ ପ୍ରାଣୀ ଏକତ୍ର ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହେବେ ଓ ମନୁଷ୍ୟ ପୁନର୍ବାର ଧୂଳିରେ ମିଶିଯିବ।
16 "If now you have understanding, hear this. Listen to the voice of my words.
ତୁମ୍ଭର ବିବେଚନା ଥିଲେ, ଏହା ଶୁଣ; ମୋʼ ବାକ୍ୟର ରବରେ ମନୋଯୋଗ କର।
17 Shall even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty?—
ଯେ ନ୍ୟାୟ ଘୃଣା କରେ, ସେ କି ଶାସନ କରିବ? ଓ ଯେ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଓ ପରାକ୍ରମୀ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ କି ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୋଷୀ କରିବ?
18 Who says to a king, 'Vile.' or to nobles, 'Wicked.'?
ରାଜାକୁ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଅଧମ;’ ଅବା ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କୁ, ‘ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ’ ବୋଲି କହିବାର କି ଉପଯୁକ୍ତ?
19 Who doesn't respect the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor; for they all are the work of his hands.
ତେବେ ପରମେଶ୍ୱର ଯେ ଅଧିପତିମାନଙ୍କର ମୁଖାପେକ୍ଷା କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ଅବା ସମସ୍ତେ ତାହାଙ୍କର ହସ୍ତକୃତ କର୍ମ ହେବାରୁ ଦରିଦ୍ର ଅପେକ୍ଷା ଧନୀକୁ ବିଶେଷ ଜ୍ଞାନ କରନ୍ତି ନାହିଁ, ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଏପରି କହିବା କେତେ ଅଧିକ ଅନୁପଯୁକ୍ତ?
20 In a moment they die, even at midnight. The people are shaken and pass away. The mighty are taken away without a hand.
ସେମାନେ ମୁହୂର୍ତ୍ତକେ, ଅର୍ଦ୍ଧରାତ୍ରରେ ହିଁ ମରନ୍ତି; ଲୋକମାନେ କମ୍ପିତ ହୋଇ ପ୍ରାଣତ୍ୟାଗ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ବିକ୍ରମୀ ବିନା ହସ୍ତକ୍ଷେପରେ ଦୂରୀକୃତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
21 "For his eyes are on the ways of a man. He sees all his goings.
କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ମାର୍ଗ ପ୍ରତି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟି ଅଛି ଓ ସେ ତାହାର ସବୁ ଗତି ଦେଖନ୍ତି।
22 There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where evildoers may hide themselves.
ଯେଉଁଠାରେ ଅଧର୍ମାଚାରୀଗଣ ଲୁଚି ପାରନ୍ତି, ଏପରି ଅନ୍ଧକାର ଓ ମୃତ୍ୟୁଚ୍ଛାୟା ନାହିଁ।
23 For he doesn't need to consider a man further, that he should go before God in judgment.
କାରଣ ମନୁଷ୍ୟର ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ସାକ୍ଷାତରେ ବିଚାରାର୍ଥେ ଯିବାକୁ ହେବ ବୋଲି ତାହା ବିଷୟ ଦୀର୍ଘ ବିବେଚନା କରିବାର ତାହାଙ୍କର ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ନାହିଁ।
24 He breaks in pieces mighty men in ways past finding out, and sets others in their place.
ସେ ଅନୁଦ୍ଦେଶ୍ୟ ଉପାୟରେ ପରାକ୍ରାନ୍ତ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଖଣ୍ଡ ଖଣ୍ଡ କରନ୍ତି ଓ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସ୍ଥାନରେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କୁ ସ୍ଥାପନ କରନ୍ତି।
25 Therefore he takes knowledge of their works. He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
ଏହେତୁ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କ କର୍ମର ତତ୍ତ୍ୱ ନିଅନ୍ତି; ପୁଣି, ସେ ରାତ୍ରିରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓଲଟାଇ ପକାନ୍ତି, ତହିଁରେ ସେମାନେ ବିନଷ୍ଟ ହୁଅନ୍ତି।
26 He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
ସେ ଅନ୍ୟମାନଙ୍କ ଦୃଷ୍ଟିଗୋଚରରେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରହାର କଲା ପରି ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରହାର କରନ୍ତି;
27 because they turned aside from following him, and wouldn't pay attention to any of his ways,
କାରଣ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଅନୁଗମନରୁ ବିମୁଖ ହେଲେ ଓ ତାହାଙ୍କର କୌଣସି ମାର୍ଗ ଆଦର କରିବାକୁ ଅନିଚ୍ଛୁକ ହେଲେ;
28 so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him. He heard the cry of the afflicted.
ଏହିରୂପେ ସେମାନେ ତାହାଙ୍କ ଛାମୁରେ ଦରିଦ୍ରର କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ କରାଇଲେ, ତହୁଁ ସେ ଦୁଃଖୀର କ୍ରନ୍ଦନ ଶୁଣିଲେ।
29 When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? Alike whether to a nation, or to a man,
ସେ ଶାନ୍ତି ଦେଲେ, କିଏ ଦୋଷ ଦେଇ ପାରେ? ଓ ସେ ଆପଣା ମୁଖ ଆଚ୍ଛାଦନ କଲେ, କିଏ ତାହାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି ପାରେ? ଏହା କୌଣସି ଗୋଷ୍ଠୀ ଅବା କୌଣସି ବ୍ୟକ୍ତି ପ୍ରତି କରାଗଲେ, ଏକ ସମାନ ଥାଏ;
30 that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.
ଏଣୁ ଅଧାର୍ମିକ ଲୋକ ରାଜତ୍ୱ କରେ ନାହିଁ, ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କୁ ଫାନ୍ଦରେ ପକାଇବାକୁ କେହି ନ ଥାଏ।
31 "For has any said to God, 'I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.
କାରଣ କେହି କି ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କୁ କହିଅଛି, ‘ମୁଁ ଶାସ୍ତି ଭୋଗ କରୁଅଛି, ଆଉ ଦୋଷ କରିବି ନାହିଁ;
32 Teach me that which I do not see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more'?
ଯାହା ମୁଁ ଜାଣୁ ନାହିଁ, ତାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଶିଖାଅ; ଯଦି ମୁଁ ଅପରାଧ କରିଅଛି, ତେବେ ଆଉ ତାହା କରିବି ନାହିଁ?’
33 Shall his recompense be as you desire, that you refuse it? For you must choose, and not I. Therefore speak what you know.
ତାହାଙ୍କ ଦତ୍ତ ପ୍ରତିଫଳ କି ତୁମ୍ଭ ଇଚ୍ଛାମତ ହେବ ଯେ, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ତାହା ଅଗ୍ରାହ୍ୟ କରୁଅଛ? କାରଣ ମନୋନୀତ କରିବାର ତୁମ୍ଭର କର୍ମ, ମୋହର ନୁହେଁ; ଏଥିପାଇଁ ଯାହା ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଜାଣ, ତାହା କୁହ।
34 Men of understanding will tell me, yes, every wise man who hears me:
ବୁଦ୍ଧିମାନ ଲୋକେ ଏବଂ ମୋʼ କଥା ଶ୍ରବଣକାରୀ ପ୍ରତ୍ୟେକ ଜ୍ଞାନୀ ଲୋକ ମୋତେ କହିବେ;
35 'Job speaks without knowledge. His words are without wisdom.'
‘ଆୟୁବ ନ ଜାଣି କଥା କହେ ଓ ତାହାର କଥାସବୁ ଜ୍ଞାନବର୍ଜ୍ଜିତ।’
36 I wish that Job were tried to the end, because of his answering like wicked men.
ଆୟୁବ ଶେଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପରୀକ୍ଷିତ ହେଉ, କାରଣ ସେ ଦୁଷ୍ଟ ଲୋକମାନଙ୍କ ପରି ଉତ୍ତର ଦେଇଅଛି।
37 For he adds rebellion to his sin. He claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God."
ଯେଣୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ପାପରେ ବିଦ୍ରୋହଭାବ ଯୋଗ କରୁଅଛି, ସେ ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ହାତତାଳି ଦେଉଅଛି ଓ ପରମେଶ୍ୱରଙ୍କ ପ୍ରତିକୂଳରେ ଅନେକ କଥା କହୁଅଛି।”
