< 2 Timothy 2 >

1 You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
Hi bada, ene semé, fortificadi Iesus Christ baithan den gratián:
2 The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same to faithful people, who will be able to teach others also.
Eta anhitz testimonioren artean eneganic ençun dituan gauçác, iracats ietzec gende fideley, cein bercen-ere iracasteco sufficient içanen baitirade.
3 You therefore must share in hardship, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Hic bada trabaillu suffri eçac Iesus Christen gendarmés on anço.
4 No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
Eztuc nehor guerlán empatchatzen vicitzeco eguitecoéz, guerla eguiteco hautatu duenaren gogaraco dençát.
5 Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
Halaber baldin nehorc combatic eguiten badu, eztuc coroatzen baldin bidezqui combatitu ezpada.
6 The farmers who labor must be the first to get a share of the crops.
Laborariac trabaillatu behar dic fructuric recebi deçan baino lehen.
7 Consider what I say, for the Lord will give you understanding in all things.
Consideraitzac erraiten ditudan gauçác: Iaunac bada eman dieçála adimendu gauça gucietan.
8 Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, a descendant of David, according to my Good News,
Aicén orhoit Iesus Christ resuscitatu içan dela hiletaric, Dauid-en hacitic celaric, ene Euangelioaren araura:
9 in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God's word is not chained.
Ceinetan, gaizquiguile anço, affligitzen bainaiz estecailluetarano: baina Iaunaren hitza eztuc estecatua.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones' sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with everlasting glory. (aiōnios g166)
Halacotz gauça guciac suffritzen citiát elegituacgatic, hec-ere obteni deçatençát Iesus Christ Iaunean den saluamendua, gloria eternalarequin. (aiōnios g166)
11 This saying is faithful: "For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
Hitz segura duc haur: Ecen baldin harequin hil içan bagara, harequin vicico-ere garela.
12 If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
Baldin suffritzen badugu, regnaturen-ere harequin diagu: baldin vkatzen badugu, harc-ere gu vkaturen guiaitic:
13 If we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot deny himself."
Baldin desleyal bagara, hura ordea fidel diagoc, vka bere buruä ecin ceçaquec.
14 Remind them of these things, charging them in the presence of God, not to wrangle about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
Arramberritzac gauça hauc, protestatzen dualaric Iaunaren aitzinean ezteçan nehorc hitzez iharduqui, baita probetchuric batre ekarten eztuen gauça, aitzitic ençuleac erautzen dituena.
15 Do your best to present yourself approved by God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, properly handling the word of truth.
Diligentadi eure buruären Iaincoari approbatu presentatzera, confusione gabeco obrero, artezqui eguiaren hitza ebaquiten duála.
16 But shun empty chatter, for they will proceed further in ungodliness,
Oihu vanoac eta profanoac reprimitzac: ceren impietate handiagotara auançaturen baitirade.
17 and their word will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
Eta hayén hitza gangrená beçala alhaco duc, ceinetaric baitirade Hymeneo eta Phileto:
18 who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
Cein eguiatic erauci içan baitirade, erraiten dutela ia resurrectionea eguin içan dela, eta erautzen dié edocein batzuén fedea.
19 However God's firm foundation stands, having this seal, "The Lord knows those who are his," and, "Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."
Alabaina Iaincoaren fundamenta fermu diagoc, cigulu haur duelaric, Eçagutzen ditu Iaunac cein diraden harenac: eta, Retira bedi iniustitiataric Christen icena inuocatzen duen gucia.
20 Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor.
Eta etche handi batetan eztuc solament vrrhezco eta cilharrezco vnciric, baina çurezcoric eta lurrezcoric-ere: eta batzu ohoretacotz, eta berceac desohoretacotz.
21 If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master's use, prepared for every good work.
Bada nehorc baldin bere buruä hautaric chahu badeça, içanen duc vnci ohoretacotz sanctificatua, eta Iaunaren vsegetacotz carazcoa, eta Iaunaren obra on orotara appaindua.
22 Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
Gaztetassunaren guthiciey-ere ihes eguiéc, eta iarreiqui aquió iustitiari, fedeari, charitateari, baqueari bihotz purez Iauna inuocatzen dutenequin.
23 But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
Eta questione erhoac, eta instructione gabetacoac iraizquic, daquialaric ecen hec gudu engendratzen dutela.
24 The Lord's servant must not quarrel, but be gentle towards all, able to teach, patient,
Bada Iaunaren cerbitzariac eztic reuoltari içan behar, baina eme gucietara, iracasteco carazco, patientqui gaichtoac supportatzen dituelaric:
25 in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
Emetassunequin iracasten dituelaric opinione contrariotaco diradenac: eya noizpait Iaincoac vrriquimendu eman dieçaqueenez eguiaren eçagutzeco,
26 and they may recover themselves out of the devil's snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
Eta emenda ditecen, haren vorondatearen eguiteco, itzuriric deabruaren laçotic, ceinez hatzamanac baitaude.
