2 Corinthians 5
1 For we know that if the earthly house of our tent is dissolved, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, everlasting, in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
因為我們知道：如果我們這地上帳棚式的寓所拆毀了，我們必由天主獲得一所房舍，一所非人手所造，而永遠在天上的寓所。 (aiōnios g166)
2 For truly in this we groan, longing to be clothed with our habitation which is from heaven,
誠然，我們在此嘆息，因為我們切望套上那屬天上的住所，
3 since, after we have put it on, we will not be found naked.
只要我們還穿衣服，不是赤裸的。
4 For indeed we who are in this tent do groan, being burdened; not that we desire to be unclothed, but that we desire to be clothed, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
我們在這帳棚裏的人，苦惱嘆息，是由於我們不願脫去衣服，而就套上另一層，為使這有死的為生命所吸收。
5 Now he who made us for this very thing is God, who also gave to us the down payment of the Spirit.
但那安排我們如此的，是天主，是衪給我們賜下了聖神作抵押。
6 Therefore, we are always confident and know that while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord;
所以不論怎樣，我們時常放心大膽，因為我們知道，我們幾時住在這肉身內，就是與主遠離，──
7 for we walk by faith, not by sight.
因為我們現今只是憑信德往來，並非憑目睹──
8 We are of good courage, I say, and are willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be at home with the Lord.
我們我們放心大膽，是為更情願出離肉身，與主同往。
9 Therefore also we make it our aim, whether at home or absent, to be well pleasing to him.
為此，我們或住在或出離肉身，常專心以討主的喜悅為光榮。
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
因為我們眾人都應出現在基督的審判台前，為使各人藉著他肉身所行的，或善或惡，領取相當的報應。
11 Knowing therefore the fear of the Lord, we persuade people, but we are revealed to God; and I hope that we are revealed also in your consciences.
我們既然知道主的可畏，遂盡力使人相信我們；我們在主前是顯明的，我也盻望在你們的良心前也是顯明的。
12 We are not commending ourselves to you again, but speak as giving you occasion of boasting on our behalf, that you may have something to answer those who boast in appearance, and not in heart.
這並不是我們又向你們舉薦自己，而是為給你們一個有為我們誇耀的機會，使你們有以對付那些只憑外貌，而不憑內心誇耀的人們，
13 For if we are out of control, it is for God. If we are in a reasonable way, it is for you.
因為如果說我們是發狂，那是為了天主；如果說我們是清醒，那是為了你們。
14 For the love of Christ constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died.
因為基督的愛催迫著我們，因我們曾如此斷定：既然一個人替眾人死了；
15 He died for all, that those who live should no longer live to themselves, but to him who for their sakes died and rose again.
衪替眾人死，是為活著的人不再為自己生活，而是為替他們死而復活了的那位生活。
16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we no longer know him in this way.
所以我們從今以後，不再按人的看法認識誰了；縱使我們曾按人的看法認識過基督，但如今不再這樣認識衪了。
17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Look, new things have come.
所以誰苦在基督內，他就是一個新受造物，舊的已成過去，看，都成了新的。
18 But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of reconciliation;
這一切都是出由天主，衪曾藉基督使我們與衪自己和好，並將這和和的職務賜給了我們：
19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and having committed to us the word of reconciliation.
這這是說：天主在基督內使世界與自己和好，不再追他們的過犯，且將和好的話放在我們的口中。
20 We are therefore ambassadors on behalf of Christ, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
所以我們是代表基督作大使了，好像是天主與著我們來勸勉世人。我們如今代基督請你們：與天主和好罷!
21 For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
因為衪錔使那不認識罪的，替我們成了罪，好叫我們在衪內成為天主的正義。
