Philippians 4
1 Therefore, my brothers, whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, so stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.
だから、わたしの愛し慕っている兄弟たちよ。わたしの喜びであり冠である愛する者たちよ。このように、主にあって堅く立ちなさい。
2 I appeal to Euodia and I appeal to Syntyche to agree in the Lord.
わたしはユウオデヤに勧め、またスントケに勧める。どうか、主にあって一つ思いになってほしい。
3 Yes, I ask you also, true companion, help these women, for they labored with me in the Good News, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.
ついては、真実な協力者よ。あなたにお願いする。このふたりの女を助けてあげなさい。彼らは、「いのちの書」に名を書きとめられているクレメンスや、その他の同労者たちと協力して、福音のためにわたしと共に戦ってくれた女たちである。
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, Rejoice.
あなたがたは、主にあっていつも喜びなさい。繰り返して言うが、喜びなさい。
5 Let your gentleness be evident to all people. The Lord is near.
あなたがたの寛容を、みんなの人に示しなさい。主は近い。
6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
何事も思い煩ってはならない。ただ、事ごとに、感謝をもって祈と願いとをささげ、あなたがたの求めるところを神に申し上げるがよい。
7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Messiah Yeshua.
そうすれば、人知ではとうてい測り知ることのできない神の平安が、あなたがたの心と思いとを、キリスト・イエスにあって守るであろう。
8 Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think on these things.
最後に、兄弟たちよ。すべて真実なこと、すべて尊ぶべきこと、すべて正しいこと、すべて純真なこと、すべて愛すべきこと、すべてほまれあること、また徳といわれるもの、称賛に値するものがあれば、それらのものを心にとめなさい。
9 And the things you learned and received and heard and saw in me, do these things. And the God of peace will be with you.
あなたがたが、わたしから学んだこと、受けたこと、聞いたこと、見たことは、これを実行しなさい。そうすれば、平和の神が、あなたがたと共にいますであろう。
10 Now I rejoice in the Lord greatly that at last you have revived your concern for me; in which you were indeed concerned, but you lacked opportunity.
さて、わたしが主にあって大いに喜んでいるのは、わたしを思う心が、あなたがたに今またついに芽ばえてきたことである。実は、あなたがたは、わたしのことを心にかけてくれてはいたが、よい機会がなかったのである。
11 I'm not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content in any circumstance.
わたしは乏しいから、こう言うのではない。わたしは、どんな境遇にあっても、足ることを学んだ。
12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret, whether full or hungry, whether having a lot or being in need.
わたしは貧に処する道を知っており、富におる道も知っている。わたしは、飽くことにも飢えることにも、富むことにも乏しいことにも、ありとあらゆる境遇に処する秘けつを心得ている。
13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
わたしを強くして下さるかたによって、何事でもすることができる。
14 Still, you have done well to share my hardship.
しかし、あなたがたは、よくもわたしと患難を共にしてくれた。
15 And you Philippians yourselves know that in the beginning of the Good News, when I departed from Macedonia, no congregation shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you only.
ピリピの人たちよ。あなたがたも知っているとおり、わたしが福音を宣伝し始めたころ、マケドニヤから出かけて行った時、物のやりとりをしてわたしの働きに参加した教会は、あなたがたのほかには全く無かった。
16 For even in Thessalonica you sent me aid twice.
またテサロニケでも、一再ならず、物を送ってわたしの欠乏を補ってくれた。
17 Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your account.
わたしは、贈り物を求めているのではない。わたしの求めているのは、あなたがたの勘定をふやしていく果実なのである。
18 But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus the things that came from you, a sweet-smelling fragrance, an acceptable and well-pleasing sacrifice to God.
わたしは、すべての物を受けてあり余るほどである。エパフロデトから、あなたがたの贈り物をいただいて、飽き足りている。それは、かんばしいかおりであり、神の喜んで受けて下さる供え物である。
19 And my God will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Messiah Yeshua.
わたしの神は、ご自身の栄光の富の中から、あなたがたのいっさいの必要を、キリスト・イエスにあって満たして下さるであろう。
わたしたちの父なる神に、栄光が世々限りなくあるように、アァメン。 (aiōn g165)
21 Greet every saint in Messiah Yeshua. The brothers who are with me greet you.
キリスト・イエスにある聖徒のひとりびとりに、よろしく。わたしと一緒にいる兄弟たちから、あなたがたによろしく。
22 All the kadoshim greet you, especially those who are of Caesar's household.
すべての聖徒たちから、特にカイザルの家の者たちから、よろしく。
23 The grace of the Lord Yeshua the Messiah be with your spirit.
主イエス・キリストの恵みが、あなたがたの霊と共にあるように。
