Numbers 31
1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
౧యెహోవా “మిద్యానీయులు ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు చేసిన దానికి ప్రతీకారం తీర్చుకోండి.
2 "Avenge the children of Israel for the Midianites. Afterward you shall be gathered to your people."
౨ఆ తరవాత నీవు చనిపోయి నీ పూర్వీకుల దగ్గరికి చేరుకుంటావు” అని మోషేకు చెప్పాడు.
3 Moses spoke to the people, saying, "Arm men from among you for the war, that they may go against Midian, to execute the LORD's vengeance on Midian.
౩అప్పుడు మోషే “మీలో కొందరు యుద్ధానికి సిద్ధపడి మిద్యానీయుల మీదికి పోయి వారికి యెహోవా విధించిన ప్రతిదండన చేయండి.
4 Of every tribe one thousand, throughout all the tribes of Israel, you shall send to the war."
౪ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల ప్రతి గోత్రం నుండి వెయ్యిమంది చొప్పున యుద్ధానికి పంపండి” అని ప్రజలతో అన్నాడు.
5 So there were delivered, out of the thousands of Israel, a thousand of every tribe, twelve thousand armed for war.
౫ఆ విధంగా గోత్రానికి వెయ్యి మంది చొప్పున, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల మొత్తం సైన్యంలో నుండి పన్నెండు వేల మంది యుద్ధ వీరులను సిద్ధం చేశారు.
6 Moses sent them, one thousand of every tribe, to the war, them and Phinehas the son of Eleazar the cohen, to the war, with the vessels of the sanctuary and the trumpets for the alarm in his hand.
౬మోషే వారిని, యాజకుడైన ఎలియాజరు కుమారుడు ఫీనెహాసుతో పంపించాడు. అతనికి పరిశుద్ధమైన కొన్ని వస్తువులు, యుద్ధంలో ఊదటానికి బాకాలు పంపాడు.
7 They warred against Midian, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they killed every male.
౭యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించినట్టే ఇశ్రాయేలీయులు మిద్యానీయులతో యుద్ధం చేసి మగవారందరినీ చంపేశారు.
8 They killed the kings of Midian with the rest of their slain: Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, the five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they killed with the sword.
౮వారు కాక మిద్యాను రాజులు, ఎవీ, రేకెము, సూరు, హూరు, రేబ అనే ఐదుగుర్ని చంపారు. బెయోరు కొడుకు బిలామును కత్తితో చంపేశారు.
9 The children of Israel took captive the women of Midian and their little ones; and all their livestock, and all their flocks, and all their goods, they took for a prey.
౯వారు మిద్యాను స్త్రీలను, వారి చిన్నపిల్లలను చెరపట్టుకుని, వారి పశువులు, గొర్రెలు, మేకలు అన్నిటిని, వారి సమస్తాన్ని దోచుకున్నారు.
10 All their cities in the places in which they lived, and all their encampments, they burnt with fire.
౧౦వారి పట్టణాలు, కోటలు అన్నిటిని తగలబెట్టారు.
11 They took all the spoil, and all the prey, both of man and of animal.
౧౧వారు మనుషులను గాని పశువులను గాని మిద్యానీయుల ఆస్తి అంతటినీ కొల్లగొట్టారు.
12 They brought the captives, and the prey, and the spoil, to Moses, and to Eleazar the cohen, and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab, which are by the Jordan at Jericho.
౧౨తరువాత వారు దానంతటినీ, చెరపట్టిన వారిని మోయాబు మైదానాల్లో యెరికో దగ్గర యొర్దాను పక్కన విడిది చేసి ఉన్న మోషే, యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు దగ్గరికి, ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సమాజం దగ్గరికి తీసుకు వచ్చారు.
13 Moses, and Eleazar the cohen, and all the leaders of the congregation, went forth to meet them outside of the camp.
౧౩అప్పుడు మోషే, యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు, సమాజ నాయకులంతా విడిది బయటికి వారికి ఎదురు వెళ్ళారు.
14 Moses was angry with the officers of the army, the captains of thousands and the captains of hundreds, who came from the service of the war.
౧౪అప్పుడు మోషే యుద్ధం నుండి వచ్చిన సహస్రాధిపతులు, శతాధిపతుల పైన కోపపడ్డాడు.
15 Moses said to them, "Have you saved all the women alive?
౧౫అతడు వారితో “మీరు మిద్యాను స్త్రీలను ఎందుకు బతకనిచ్చారు?
16 Look, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and so the plague was among the congregation of the LORD.
౧౬బిలాము సలహా ప్రకారం పెయోరు విషయంలో ఇశ్రాయేలు ప్రజలు యెహోవాకు ఎదురు తిరిగేలా చేసింది వారే కదా! అందుచేత యెహోవా మన సమాజంలో తెగులు పుట్టించాడు కదా.
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who has known man by lying with him.
౧౭కాబట్టి మీరు మగ పిల్లలందరినీ మగవారితో సంబంధం ఉన్న ప్రతి స్త్రీనీ చంపండి.
18 But all the girls, who have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
౧౮మగవారితో సంబంధం లేని ప్రతి ఆడపిల్లను మీ కోసం బతకనీయండి.
19 "Encamp outside of the camp seven days: whoever has killed any person, and whoever has touched any slain, purify yourselves on the third day and on the seventh day, you and your captives.
౧౯మీరు ఏడు రోజులు విడిది బయట ఉండాలి. మీలో మనిషిని చంపిన ప్రతివాడూ, చనిపోయిన వారిని తాకిన ప్రతివాడూ, మీరు, మీరు చెరగా పట్టుకొచ్చిన వారు, మూడో రోజున, ఏడో రోజున మిమ్మల్ని మీరు శుద్ధి చేసుకోవాలి.
20 As to every garment, and all that is made of skin, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood, you shall purify yourselves."
౨౦మీరు మీ వస్త్రాలను, చర్మంతో, మేక వెండ్రుకలతో చేసిన వస్తువులను, చెక్కతో చేసిన వస్తువులను అన్నిటినీ శుద్ధి చేయాలి.”
21 Eleazar the cohen said to the men of war who went to the battle, "This is the statute of the law which the LORD has commanded Moses:
౨౧అప్పుడు యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు యుద్ధానికి వెళ్ళిన సైనికులతో “యెహోవా మోషేకు ఇలా ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు,
22 however the gold, and the silver, the bronze, the iron, the tin, and the lead,
౨౨‘అగ్నితో చెడిపోని బంగారు, వెండి, ఇత్తడి, ఇనుము, తగరం, సీసం, వీటితో చేసిన వస్తువులన్నిటినీ
23 everything that may withstand the fire, you shall make to go through the fire, and it shall be clean; nevertheless it shall be purified with the water for impurity: and all that doesn't withstand the fire you shall make to go through the water.
౨౩మంటల్లో వేసి తీయడం ద్వారా శుద్ధి చేయాలి. వాటిని పాపపరిహార జలంతో కూడా శుద్ధి చేయాలి. అగ్నితో చెడిపోయే ప్రతి వస్తువును నీళ్లలో వేసి తీయాలి.
24 You shall wash your clothes on the seventh day, and you shall be clean; and afterward you shall come into the camp."
౨౪ఏడో రోజు మీరు మీ బట్టలు ఉతుక్కొని శుద్ధి అయిన తరవాత విడిదిలోకి రావచ్చు.’” అన్నాడు.
25 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
౨౫యెహోవా మోషేకు ఇంకా ఇలా ఆజ్ఞాపించాడు,
26 "Take the sum of the prey that was taken, both of man and of animal, you, and Eleazar the cohen, and the heads of the fathers' households of the congregation;
౨౬“నువ్వూ యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు సమాజంలోని పూర్వీకుల వంశాల నాయకులు మీరు చెరగా పట్టుకున్న మనుషులను, పశువులను లెక్కబెట్టి రెండు భాగాలు చేయండి.
27 and divide the prey into two parts: between the men skilled in war, who went out to battle, and all the congregation.
౨౭సైన్యంగా యుద్ధానికి వెళ్ళిన వారికి సగం, మిగిలిన సర్వసమాజానికి సగం పంచిపెట్టండి.
28 Levy a tribute to the LORD of the men of war who went out to battle: one soul of five hundred; of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks.
౨౮యుద్ధానికి వెళ్ళిన సైనికులపై యెహోవా కోసం పన్ను వేసి, ఆ మనుషుల్లో, పశువుల్లో, గాడిదల్లో, గొర్రె మేకల్లో ఐదు వందలకు ఒకటి చొప్పున వారి సగభాగంలో నుండి తీసుకుని
29 Take it of their half, and give it to Eleazar the cohen, for the LORD's wave offering.
౨౯యెహోవాకు అర్పణగా యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరుకు ఇవ్వాలి.
30 Of the children of Israel's half, you shall take one drawn out of every fifty, of the persons, of the cattle, of the donkeys, and of the flocks, of all the livestock, and give them to the Levites, who perform the duty of the tabernacle of the LORD."
౩౦అదే విధంగా మిగిలిన ఇశ్రాయేలీయుల సగంలో నుండి మనుషుల్లో, పశువుల్లో, గాడిదల్లో, గొర్రె మేకల్లో, అన్ని రకాల జంతువుల్లోనుండి 50 కి ఒకటి చొప్పున తీసుకుని యెహోవా మందిరాన్ని కాపాడే లేవీయులకు ఇవ్వాలి.”
31 Moses and Eleazar the cohen did as the LORD commanded Moses.
౩౧యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన విధంగా మోషే, యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు చేశారు.
32 Now the prey, over and above the booty which the men of war took, was six hundred seventy-five thousand sheep,
౩౨ఆ సైనికులు దోచుకున్నది గాక మిగిలింది
33 and seventy-two thousand head of cattle,
౩౩6, 75,000 గొర్రెలు లేక మేకలు,
34 and sixty-one thousand donkeys,
౩౪72,000 పశువులు, 61,000 గాడిదలు,
35 and thirty-two thousand persons in all, of the women who had not known man by lying with him.
౩౫32,000 మంది మగవారితో సంబంధం లేని స్త్రీలు ఉన్నారు.
36 The half, which was the portion of those who went out to war, was in number three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep:
౩౬అందులో సగం యుద్ధానికి వెళ్ళిన వారి వంతు, గొర్రె మేకలు 3, 37, 500. వాటిలో యెహోవాకు చెందిన పన్ను 675. పశువుల్లో సగం 36,000.
37 and the LORD's tribute of the sheep was six hundred seventy-five.
౩౭వాటిలో యెహోవా పన్ను 72.
38 The cattle were thirty-six thousand; of which the LORD's tribute was seventy-two.
౩౮గాడిదల్లో సగం 30, 500.
39 The donkeys were thirty thousand five hundred; of which the LORD's tribute was sixty-one.
౩౯వాటిలో యెహోవా పన్ను 61.
40 The persons were sixteen thousand; of whom the LORD's tribute was thirty-two persons.
౪౦మనుషుల్లో సగం 16,000 మంది. వారిలో యెహోవా పన్ను 32 మంది.
41 Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD's wave offering, to Eleazar the cohen, as the LORD commanded Moses.
౪౧యెహోవా మోషేకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన విధంగా అతడు యెహోవాకు చెందాల్సిన అర్పణను యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరుకు ఇచ్చాడు.
42 Of the children of Israel's half, which Moses divided off from the men who warred
౪౨మోషే సైనికుల నుండి తీసుకుని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు ఇచ్చిన సగంలో నుండి లేవీయులకు ఇచ్చాడు.
43 (now the congregation's half was three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred sheep,
౪౩3, 37, 500 గొర్రె మేకలు,
44 and thirty-six thousand head of cattle,
౪౪36,000 పశువులు, 30, 500 గాడిదలు,
45 and thirty thousand five hundred donkeys,
౪౫16,000 మంది మనుషులు సమాజానికి రావలసిన సగం.
46 and sixteen thousand persons),
౪౬మోషే ఆ సగం నుండి మనుషుల్లో, జంతువుల్లో,
47 even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one drawn out of every fifty, both of man and of animal, and gave them to the Levites, who performed the duty of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
౪౭50 కి ఒకటి చొప్పున తీసి, యెహోవా తనకు ఆజ్ఞాపించిన విధంగా యెహోవా మందిరాన్ని కాపాడే లేవీయులకు ఇచ్చాడు.
48 The officers who were over the thousands of the army, the captains of thousands, and the captains of hundreds, came near to Moses;
౪౮అప్పుడు సైన్యంలో వేలమందికి, వందల మందికి అధిపతులు మోషే దగ్గరికి వచ్చి
49 and they said to Moses, "Your servants have taken the sum of the men of war who are under our command, and there lacks not one man of us.
౪౯“నీ సేవకులైన మేము మా కింద ఉన్న సైనికులందరినీ లెక్కపెట్టాం. మొత్తానికి ఒక్కడు కూడా తగ్గలేదు.
50 We have brought the LORD's offering, what every man has gotten, of jewels of gold, armlets, and bracelets, signet rings, earrings, and necklaces, to make atonement for our souls before the LORD."
౫౦కాబట్టి యెహోవా సన్నిధిలో మా కోసం ప్రాయశ్చిత్తం కలిగేలా మాలో ప్రతి ఒక్కడికి దొరికిన బంగారు నగలు, గొలుసులు, కడియాలు, ఉంగరాలు, పోగులు, పతకాలు యెహోవాకు అర్పణ తెచ్చాం” అని చెప్పారు.
51 Moses and Eleazar the cohen took their gold, even all worked jewels.
౫౧మోషే, యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు ఆ బంగారు నగలను వారి నుండి తీసుకున్నారు.
52 All the gold of the wave offering that they offered up to the LORD, of the captains of thousands, and of the captains of hundreds, was sixteen thousand seven hundred fifty shekels.
౫౨వేలమందికి, వందల మందికి అధిపతులైన నాయకులు యెహోవాకు అర్పించిన బంగారం మొత్తం 16, 750 తులాలు.
53 (The men of war had taken booty, every man for himself.)
౫౩ఆ సైనికుల్లో ప్రతివాడూ తన మట్టుకు తాను దోపుడు సొమ్ము తెచ్చుకున్నాడు.
54 Moses and Eleazar the cohen took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the Tent of Meeting, for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
౫౪అప్పుడు మోషే, యాజకుడు ఎలియాజరు వేలమందికి, వందల మందికి అధిపతుల దగ్గర తీసుకున్న బంగారాన్ని ఇశ్రాయేలీయులకు జ్ఞాపకార్థంగా ప్రత్యక్ష గుడారంలో ఉంచారు.
