Mark 8
1 In those days, when there was a large crowd, and they had nothing to eat, he called the talmidim to himself, and said to them,
V těch dnech když velmi veliký zástup byl, a neměli, co by jedli, svolav Ježíš učedlníky své, řekl jim:
2 "I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.
Lítost mám nad zástupy; nebo již tři dni trvají se mnou, a nemají, co by jedli.
3 If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, and some of them have come a long way."
A rozpustím-li je lačné do domů jejich, zhynou na cestě; nebo někteří z nich zdaleka přišli.
4 His talmidim answered him, "From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?"
Odpověděli mu učedlníci jeho: I odkud bude moci kdo tyto nakrmiti chleby zde na poušti?
5 He asked them, "How many loaves do you have?" They said, "Seven."
I otázal se jich: Kolik máte chlebů? A oni řekli: Sedm.
6 He commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his talmidim to serve, and they served the crowd.
I kázal zástupu posaditi se na zemi. A vzav těch sedm chlebů, díky učiniv, lámal a dával učedlníkům svým, aby předkládali. I kladli před zástup.
7 They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.
A měli rybiček maličko. Jichž požehnav, kázal i ty před ně klásti.
8 They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
I jedli a nasyceni jsou; a sebrali, což pozůstalo drobtů, sedm košů.
9 Now they were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.
Těch pak, kteříž jedli, bylo okolo čtyř tisíců. I propustil je.
10 Immediately he entered into the boat with his talmidim, and came into the region of Dalmanutha.
Potom hned vstoupiv na lodí s učedlníky svými, přeplavil se do krajin Dalmanutských.
11 The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, and testing him.
I vyšli farizeové, a počali se s ním hádati, hledajíce od něho znamení s nebe, pokoušejíce ho.
12 He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, "Why does this generation seek a sign? Truly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation."
A on vzdech duchem svým, dí: Co pokolení toto znamení hledá? Amen pravím vám: Nebude dáno znamení pokolení tomuto.
13 And he left them, and got into the boat again, and went to the other side.
A opustiv je, vstoupil zase na lodí, i plavil se dále.
14 Now they forgot to take bread; and they did not have more than one loaf in the boat with them.
I zapomenuli s sebou vzíti chlebů, a neměli než jeden chléb s sebou na lodí.
15 He warned them, saying, "Watch out; guard yourselves against the hametz of the Pharisees and the hametz of Herod."
Tedy přikazoval jim, řka: Vizte a pilně se šetřte kvasu farizejského a kvasu Heródesova.
16 And they began discussing among themselves that they had no bread.
I přemyšlovali, řkouce jeden k druhému: Chleba nemáme.
17 He, perceiving it, said to them, "Why do you reason that it's because you have no bread? Do you not perceive yet, neither understand? Are your hearts hardened?
A znaje to Ježíš, řekl jim: Co přemyšlujete o tom, že chleba nemáte? Ještě neznáte, ani nerozumíte? Ještě máte oslepené své srdce?
18 Having eyes, do you not see? Having ears, do you not hear? Do you not remember?
Oči majíce, nevidíte? A uši majíce, neslyšíte? A nepomníte,
19 When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" They told him, "Twelve."
Že jsem pět chlebů lámal mezi pět tisíců? Kolik jste plných košů drobtů sebrali? Řekli jemu: Dvanácte.
20 "When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?" And they said, "Seven."
A když také sedm chlebů mezi čtyři tisíce, kolik jste plných košů drobtů vzali? I řkou jemu: Sedm.
21 He asked them, "Do you not yet understand?"
I řekl jim: Kterakž nerozumíte?
22 He came to Beit Tzaidah. They brought a blind man to him, and begged Yeshua to touch him.
I přišel do Betsaidy, a přivedli k němu slepého, prosíce ho, aby se ho dotekl.
23 He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spit on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
I ujav toho slepého za ruku, vyvedl jej ven z městečka, a plinuv na oči jeho, a vloživ na něj ruce, otázal se ho, viděl-li by co.
24 He looked up, and said, "I see people; they look like trees walking."
A on pohleděv zhůru, řekl: Znamenám lidi; nebo vidím, že chodí jako stromové.
25 Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He made him look up, and was restored, and saw everything clearly.
Potom opět vložil ruce na oči jeho, a kázal mu hleděti zhůru. I uzdraven jest, tak že i zdaleka jasně viděl všecky.
26 He sent him away to his house, saying, "Do not enter into the village."
I odeslal jej do domu jeho, řka: Aniž do toho městečka choď, aniž komu z městečka prav.
27 Yeshua went out, with his talmidim, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his talmidim, "Who do people say that I am?"
Tedy vyšel Ježíš a učedlníci jeho do městeček Cesaree Filipovy. A na cestě tázal se učedlníků svých, řka jim: Kým mne praví býti lidé?
28 And they said to him, saying, "John the Immerser, and others say Elijah, but others: one of the prophets."
Kteříž odpověděli: Janem Křtitelem, a jiní Eliášem, jiní pak jedním z proroků.
29 He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" Peter answered and said to him, "You are the Messiah."
Tedy on řekl jim: Vy pak kým mne býti pravíte? Odpověděv Petr, řekl jemu: Ty jsi Kristus.
30 He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
I přikázal jim s pohrůžkou, aby o něm žádnému nepravili.
31 He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief cohanim, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
I počal učiti je, že Syn člověka musí mnoho trpěti, a potupen býti od starších a předních kněží a zákonníků, a zabit býti, a ve třech dnech z mrtvých vstáti.
32 He spoke to them openly. Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
A zjevně to slovo mluvil. Protož chytiv jej Petr, počal mu domlouvati.
33 But he, turning around, and seeing his talmidim, rebuked Peter, and said, "Get behind me, Satan. For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of humans."
Kterýžto obrátiv se, a pohleděv na učedlníky své, přimluvil Petrovi, řka: Jdiž za mnou, satane; nebo nechápáš, co jest Božího, ale co lidského.
34 He called the crowd to himself with his talmidim, and said to them, "If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
A svolav zástup s učedlníky svými, řekl jim: Chce-li kdo za mnou přijíti, zapři sebe sám, a vezmi kříž svůj, a následuj mne.
35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
Nebo chtěl-li by kdo duši svou zachovati, ztratíť ji; pakli by kdo ztratil duši svou pro mne a pro evangelium, tenť ji zachová.
36 For what does it profit a person to gain the whole world, and forfeit his soul?
Nebo co prospěje člověku, by všecken svět získal, a své duši škodu učinil?
37 Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
Aneb jakou dá člověk odměnu za duši svou?
38 For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him, when he comes in the glory of his Father with the holy angels."
Nebo kdož by se koli za mne styděl a za má slova v tomto pokolení cizoložném a hříšném, i Syn člověka styděti se bude za něj, když přijde v slávě Otce svého s anděly svatými.
