Luke 1
1 Since many have undertaken to set in order a narrative concerning those matters which have been fulfilled among us,
如你所知，很多人都曾试图用文字记录我们参与的成就。
2 even as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word delivered them to us,
他们所记录的证据，来自最早见证和传递上帝讯息之人。
3 it seemed good to me also, having traced the course of all things accurately from the first, to write to you in order, most excellent Theophilus;
由于我从始至终都参与其中，所以应该可以准确无误地撰写所发生的一切。
4 that you might know the certainty concerning the things in which you were instructed.
敬爱的提阿非罗们，我之所以这么做，是为了让你们确认自己所学之道完全值得信赖。
5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judea, a certain cohen named Zechariah, of the division of Abijah. He had a wife of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisheva.
希律担任犹太王的那段时间，亚比雅班里有一位名叫撒迦利亚的祭司，他妻子以利沙伯是亚伦的后人。
6 They were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord.
他们的一举一动都遵循上帝正道，严格遵守主所立下的一切诫命规条。
7 But they had no child, because Elisheva was barren, and they both were well advanced in years.
但他们没有孩子，因为以利沙伯无法生育，而且二人都年岁已高。。
8 Now it happened, while he was performing the office of cohen before God in the order of his division,
有一天，撒迦利亚按照排班的时间履行作为上帝祭司的职责，
9 according to the custom of the office of cohen, his lot was to enter into the temple of the Lord and burn incense.
照惯例抽签后，他被选中进入主的神庙上香。
10 And the whole crowd of people were praying outside at the hour of incense.
在烧香的过程，众人都在外面祈祷。
11 An angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing on the right side of the altar of incense.
这时天使向撒迦利亚显化，立于香坛的右侧。
12 Zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him.
撒迦利亚见状颇感惊慌，非常害怕。
13 But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, because your request has been heard, and your wife, Elisheva, will bear you a son, and you are to name him John.
天使说：“撒迦利亚，别害怕，上帝听到了你的祈求。你妻子以利沙伯将为你生下一子，你将为他起名为约翰。
14 You will have joy and gladness; and many will rejoice at his birth.
这孩子会为你带来欢喜和快乐，许多人都会来庆祝他的降生。
15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and he must never drink wine or strong drink, and he will be filled with the Ruach ha-Kodesh, even from his mother's womb.
他将成为主面前的尊者，滴酒不沾，未降生之前便有圣灵附体。
16 He will turn many of the children of Israel to the Lord, their God.
他将带领众多以色列人，回到主、也就是他们的上帝身边。
17 He will go before him in the spirit and power of Elijah, 'to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,' and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord."
他将以以利亚的圣灵和力量走在前，劝说父亲们关爱自己的儿女，规劝悖逆之人走正道，让民众准备好迎接主。”
18 Zechariah said to the angel, "How can I be sure of this? For I am an old man, and my wife is well advanced in years."
撒迦利亚问天使：“我要如何相信这一切？我老了，我妻子也是一把年纪。”
19 The angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God. I was sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.
天使回答：“我是上帝面前的加百列，奉命向你传话，告诉你这个好消息。
20 Look, you will be silent and not able to speak, until the day that these things will happen, because you did not believe my words, which will be fulfilled in their proper time."
但你并不相信我所说的一切，所以你会失语，直到我所言之事成真，你才能开口说话。”
21 The people were waiting for Zechariah, and they were wondering why he was delayed in the temple.
众人正在外面等候撒迦利亚，见他迟迟未从神庙出来，很是奇怪。
22 When he came out, he could not speak to them, and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple. He continued making signs to them, and remained mute.
但他出来时却真的失语了，无法讲话，只能打手势。于是众人意识到刚才在神庙中出现了神迹。
23 It happened, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he departed to his house.
他完成自己的职责后便回了家。
24 After these days Elisheva, his wife, conceived, and she hid herself five months, saying,
几天后，他妻子以利沙伯果真怀孕，在家中待了五个月。
25 "Thus has the Lord done to me in the days in which he looked at me, to take away my disgrace among people."
她说：“这一切是主的旨意，他这样待我，便是要让我不再在世人面前感到羞辱。”
26 Now in the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galil, named Natzeret,
在怀孕的第六个月，上帝派天使加百列来到加利利的拿撒勒镇，现身在一个名叫玛利亚的少女面前。
27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Miriam.
玛利亚当时已与一位名叫约瑟夫的男人订婚。
28 Having come in, the angel said to her, "Greetings, favored one. The Lord is with you."
天使向她问候，然后对她说“你很幸运，主与你同在。”
29 But when she saw him, she was greatly troubled at the saying, and considered what kind of greeting this might be.
玛利亚对此颇感困惑，不知道这问候到底意味着什么。
30 The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Miriam, for you have found favor with God.
天使说：“玛利亚，不要怕！因为上帝已对你施以恩典。
31 And look, you will conceive in your womb, and bring forth a son, and will call his name 'Yeshua.'
你将怀孕生子，那婴儿将起名叫耶稣。
32 He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father, David,
他将成为一位伟人，被称为至高上帝之子，上帝将把向其赐予祖先大卫的王位，
33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom." (aiōn g165)
他将永远统治雅各的家园，他的王国将永续存在。” (aiōn g165)
34 Miriam said to the angel, "How can this be, seeing I am a virgin?"
玛利亚问天使：“但这怎能可能？我还是处女。”
35 The angel answered her, "The Ruach ha-Kodesh will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore also the holy one who is born will be called the Son of God.
天使回答：“圣灵将降临于你，至高上帝将笼罩于你。那即将诞下的婴儿生而神圣，将被称为上帝之子。
36 And look, Elisheva, your relative, also has conceived a son in her old age; and this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.
甚至连你的亲戚以利沙伯都怀孕了，人们说那女人无法生育，现在怀胎已有六个月。
37 For with God nothing will be impossible."
对于上帝而言，一切皆有可能。”
38 And Miriam said, "See, the handmaid of the Lord; be it to me according to your word." The angel departed from her.
玛利亚说：“我听你的，随时准备服侍上帝，愿你所言的事情发生在我身上。”于是天使便离开了。
39 Miriam arose in those days and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Judah,
稍后，玛利亚准备了一下便急忙赶去犹太山地的一座城市，
40 and entered into the house of Zechariah and greeted Elisheva.
来到撒迦利亚的家。她走进屋向以利沙伯问安。
41 It happened, when Elisheva heard Miriam's greeting, that the baby leaped in her womb, and Elisheva was filled with the Ruach ha-Kodesh.
听见玛利亚的问候，以利沙伯腹中的婴儿立刻开始跳动，表达着喜悦。圣灵注入了以利沙伯的体内，
42 She called out with a loud voice, and said, "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb.
于是她高声说：“你是一位如此有福的女人，你腹中的婴儿能由你诞下，也是一种福气！
43 Why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?
我太荣幸了，我主之母能够造访我的寒舍。
44 For look, when the voice of your greeting came into my ears, the baby leaped in my womb for joy.
听到你问候的那一刻，我腹中的婴儿就欢喜跳跃。
45 Blessed is she who believed, for there will be a fulfillment of the things which have been spoken to her from the Lord."
你真荣幸，因为你已确信，主将把对你的承诺变为现实！”
46 Miriam said, "My soul magnifies the Lord.
玛利亚说：“赞美主！
47 And my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
上帝救世主让我如此欢喜，
48 for he has looked at the humble state of his servant girl. For look, from now on all generations will call me blessed.
因为我作为他的仆人，尽管身世卑微，他却决定垂青于我。今后万代都会认为我是获得赐福之人。
49 For he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
全能上帝对我做出伟大之举，他的名字如此神圣。
50 His mercy is for generations of generations on those who fear him.
他的怜悯将在尊敬他的世界中传递。
51 He has shown strength with his arm. He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
他凭借其力量，击败了那些自作聪明之人。
52 He has put down princes from their thrones. And has exalted the lowly.
他能够让位高权重之人跌落王位，让谦卑之人获得升华，
53 He has filled the hungry with good things. He has sent the rich away empty.
他让饥肠辘辘之人饱餐美食，也让富足之人两手空空。
54 He has given help to Israel, his servant, that he might remember mercy,
在他的帮助下，他的仆人以色列将永记他的怜悯， (aiōn g165)
正如他向我们先父、亚伯拉罕及其后裔所做的承诺。”
56 Miriam stayed with her about three months, and then returned to her house.
玛利亚和以利沙伯同住了三个月，然后便返回自己的家。
57 Now the time that Elisheva should give birth was fulfilled, and she brought forth a son.
以利沙伯终于诞下一名男婴。
58 Her neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy towards her, and they rejoiced with her.
邻居和亲戚们得知主向她施以如此善意，便和她一同庆祝。
59 It happened on the eighth day, that they came to circumcise the child; and they would have called him Zechariah, after the name of the father.
到了第八天，他们前来为孩子行割礼，打算让他随父亲的名字叫撒迦利亚。
60 His mother answered, "Not so; but he will be called John."
但以利沙伯说：“不要，他应该叫做约翰。”
61 They said to her, "There is no one among your relatives who is called by this name."
众人回答：“但你的亲戚中并没有这样的名字。”
62 They made signs to his father, what he would have him called.
他们通过手势询问孩子的父亲撒迦利亚，询问他的意见。
63 And he asked for a writing tablet, and wrote, "His name is John." And they were all amazed.
撒迦利亚示意要写字。令众人诧异的是，他写下的是：“他就叫约翰。”
64 His mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue freed, and he spoke, blessing God.
忽然他再次开口说话了，开始赞美上帝。
65 Fear came on all who lived around them, and all these sayings were talked about throughout all the hill country of Judea.
这一切让住在周围的人心生敬畏，这个消息很快就传遍整个犹太山地。
66 All who heard them laid them up in their heart, saying, "What then will this child be?" The hand of the Lord was with him.
众人听闻此事便思量它的含义：“这孩子将会成为怎样的人？”因为很显然，他对上帝而言非常特别。
67 His father, Zechariah, was filled with the Ruach ha-Kodesh, and prophesied, saying,
婴儿的父亲撒迦利亚体内充满了圣灵，他预言道：
68 "Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for he has visited and worked redemption for his people;
“主就是以色列的上帝，他如此伟大，因为他降临到子民之中，为其赋予自由，
69 and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David
他向其仆人大卫的家族赐予伟大的救赎，
正如他自古以来借由其神圣先知所传达的预言。 (aiōn g165)
71 salvation from our enemies, and from the hand of all who hate us;
他承诺拯救我们摆脱敌人，远离那些憎恨我们的人。
72 to show mercy towards our fathers, to remember his holy covenant,
他怜悯我们的祖先，记得他的圣约，
73 the oath which he spoke to Abraham, our father,
那是他向我们的祖先亚伯拉罕所发誓言。
74 to grant to us that we, being delivered out of the hand of our enemies, should serve him without fear,
他让我们摆脱恐惧，从敌人手中拯救我们，
75 In holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
这让我们可以毕生遵循正道并服侍于他。
76 And you, child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to make ready his ways,
尽管你现在只是一个婴儿，但却会被称为至高上帝的先知，因你将先于主之前，为他铺好道路，
77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people by the forgiveness of their sins,
通过宽恕其子民的罪，传播救赎的讯息。
78 because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the dawn from on high will visit us,
蒙上帝对我们的关爱怜悯，天堂的黎明将降临照耀我们，
79 to shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death; to guide our feet into the way of peace."
照亮那些活在黑暗中、笼罩在死亡阴影中的人，引导我们走上平安之路。”
80 The child was growing, and becoming strong in spirit, and was in the desert until the day of his public appearance to Israel.
这个叫做约翰的男孩逐渐长大，精神变得很强大。他一直住在荒野之中，等待在以色列人中公开露面的时机。
